Seeing this Live for the first time was a once in a lifetime experience!! The energy was amazing! This was my first music festival and not typically my kinda music, but the energy there was absolutely incredible and made me a fan. I’ve been listening to this ever since!
Never liked Spiritbox before, but I heard this one by coinsidence two weeks ago and its f*cking epic! Best song (in this live version) in several years!
I agree. Although I have a strong preference for Jinjer's generally nastier, grittier aesthetic, Spiritbox is a *superb* band. Courtney & Tati's timbres and styles, both clean and harsh, are super complimentary, and I hope that we can look forward to more collaborations!
Hello. I'm not sure I've undertood well because my English is not perfect so... When you ask "who like Tati's clean?"... I think (near) all Jinjer listeners like. Ok Tati is one of the best women for growling. But if she is one of the best vocalist in this, that's because she's one of the best for cleans too. If you listen to "I speak astronomy" live, the last part, she put on shame a lot of "pop" vocalists. I read sometimes "haters" say "Tati is not so good, she sometimes miss notes, or sometimes she's off times". Yes, true, we can find one or two off times somewhere, one or two notes not perfect somewhere. But she runs and mooves all the time, so I think we can forgive her :) . Yes, I admit, I'm a Jinjer and Tati "fanboy" :D
Vocals aren't my focus, but Tatiana Shmayluk is the best female singer I can imagine, the combination of Soul-Jazz cleans with earth shaking harshes. (Best male is Peter Hammill who likely nobody knows here😅)
Tati may very well be the most versatile contemporary vocalist in any genre, or at least damn near. I adore her velvety tone, her angelic head voice, her metal-chick gritty belt, her jazzy and bluesy runs...I love it *all.*
All Spiritbox songs are great. All of them. The fact you think otherwise is fine. Granted, I come to this channel once per year so... that says something about what I think of your reactions. ;)
