I've always loved Star Wars fleets. They tend to follow a comparable pattern to real world naval doctrine, except that nearly all of the largest vessels are combinations of carriers and dreadnought battleships.
In principle, that should work if there are enough vessels to deploy all at once. And I appreciate how Lucas and so many other Star Wars writers thought of that concept. In the Star Wars Legends/Expanded universe, there were tons of different sizes and classes of warships used by every major Galactic power. If there's one fault for the Imperials, it's that they tended to "go big or go home" too often.

The empire would have been better in naval battles if they had used mixed fleet. Figure at least two cruisers for each star destroyer.

Yes , that would have helped with smaller ship attacks.

I guess you can some up the imperial fleet and their failures with one phrase "their arrogance blinded them"

The Death Star was a spaceship. It had a class 4 hyperdrive and after blowing up Alderaan, it went to Yavin! Also why would the Tie Interceptor have needed an arrowhead shape to get through space? Atmosphere yes, space no! My understanding of the cut-out bit was improved side visibility.
Aside from those nit-picks, love the channel!

The primary problem is that to get promoted, generally your superior had to die. While a officer might be great at one thing, he could be horrible at another and then get killed. Also ment you cant really trust those under you. The whole system was rotten on the inside.

3:45 ok so you actually missed an interesting I guess you could call it a weapon that tie fighters have (I’m guessing it didn’t show up in the tt books or other research material) that distinctive sound that ties make is actually a sonic weapon designed to trigger terror in people that hear or feel it.
btw sound can travel though the vacuum of space, oddly it actually travel better in space than it dose though air as there is nothing to impede it, of course you can’t hear it in space but you can still feel it when it makes contact with your suit and body and the second it hits air it becomes Audible so when the death star blows up over yavin 4 and endor the people on the planet would feel and hear it though as light moves faster than sound it would be about a minute after you see it go boom (technically your hearing is time travelling as your hearing an explosion you saw happen at some point in the past it must feel really odd)

The storm troopers really get a bad rep for not been able to aim but the thing is when not fighting a hero unit they are crack shots with accuracy so good they could take a shot then take a second shot and hit the hole the first bolt left, then you see then fighting the likes of Luke or Han and they can’t land a shot even when the target is right in front of them it’s like the force is guiding the bolts away from the (or we can’t have the hero’s getting mortally wounded in the first gunfight their in the film would be really short).
Also a note on is Han force sensitive in TFA we see him shot a trooper landing a killing shot without even looking at him, add to that how good a pilot he is and how lucky he is when it counts and ied say yes he is, he couldn’t be trained as a Jedi he is no where near that strong but it can guide his hand “”I got a bad feeling about this?””

Lol depending on whether or not you look at the EU or Disney's canon an analysis will be vastly different.
Personally I prefer the imperial navy in the EU because it was much more balanced and thought out because they had many ship classes that were actually well put together and actually effective in different roles both many smaller and bigger ship classes. And unlike Disney's canon the Empire fought against the new republic for 10 years for control of the galaxy. Which kinda shows how much more effective and put together their navy was compared to Disney's imperial navy.
Just FYI you missed quite a few common vessels in the imperial navy in Disney's canon they also used victory class star destroyers, dreadnought class heavy cruisers, raider class corvettes, gladiator class star destroyers, vindicator class heavy cruisers, carrack class light cruisers, secutor class star destroyers, quasar class fire carriers to name a few ships.

My only question is since when does space exerts drag on anything thus forcing "aerodynamic" shapes for space ships 🤨
Cutting space is... how you get into hyperspace not in how you fast you move in dogfights.
I appreciate that you recognize those balls as sensors not "shield emitters" 🤭
Also TIEs are not equipped with solar panels but radiators but you didn't touched on that.

Wow there is several things wrong with this assessment. First the ISD while it is an ISD, it the type 1, The Empire had two ISD's. Secondly the stormtroopers were some of the best in the galaxy, they weren't jokes. Plus you missed the Victory class destroyer. It served from near the end of the Clone Wars and well into the Dalaa arc, well past.
