Although I have had no dyskinesia, this is definitely helpful to inform a conversation with my MDS about treatment options, which, so far I have not included CL. Very appropriate Bowie album back there. I think Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars might also fit into the topic somewhere.

I’m glad you liked the album! Glad I could help, Ken!

Thanks Jeremy! For me, thankfully, dyskinesia isn't too much of an issue at the moment. Seems t come on when I am happy or excited about something.

Thanks Jmac! I think dyskinesia shows up in my gait at times. Neurologist says I have a dance step in my walk. I’ve only had one twitching fit-so far. I woke up with it one morning. Scared me. If my meds wear off before I fall asleep, my legs try to run off the bed.

The first time I had dyskinesia it scared the hell out of me, too! I hate to say it, but you get used to it. thx, Karen!

Stay strong Jeremy, just saw a program on Swedish TV about the first test person of the new Levodopa pump model without the need for connecting it to your small intestine, it just goes directly under your skin. Much less complications it seems, but still in the evaluation phase. I myself am 10 years into my PD since diagnosis and take 2 * 100mg of Levodopa tablets every 4 hour, but have not yet experienced much complications with dyskinesia or anything else, knock on wood...

I’m very hopeful that the new l-dopa pump will offer at lease some relief. if I can afford it, that is! Thx, Robert!

I was surprised I started getting some dyskinetic movements so quickly after being on Sinemet. I also wonder just how effective amantadine is. Anyhoo....good info as always!

I was surprised too, at how quickly you got dyskinesia. Maybe by reducing your dose you can get better results. Thx, Michele!

I have severe dyskinesia. My doctor suggested Amantadine, but I am really worried about side effects. Did you experience any issues 11:50

    • @JeremyMcdonald

I have experienced no issues whatsoever with amatadine, however some people do. Hope this helps!
