NBA should evolve, I’m sure they’re working on it, & this is the start. I think they should move in the direction of NBA World Cup, should pick top 8 nba teams from each conference, or even team that made the play in, defending champs get a secured spot, from the previous year adding in 8 other Top over seas teams. This keeps it competitive, no more tanking for draft picks, better for the fans. The basketball world!

It's way too early for meaningful games. 2. The placement games are weird as you're encouraged to run up the score and they're done on a strange schedule. With ugly courts in my opinion. 3. This undermines the NBA divisions that already exist and just makes it confusing. Especially since it changes every year. 4. Last year's " Champion" lost easily to the Mavs two days later. Don't have it whenever, make the cup final the Friday of all star weekend. Let the "Champs" enjoy it a little and then have the 3 point and dunk contest Saturday and the all star game Sunday. 4. No banners, rings, or gold should be given for this. Gold should be reserved for the real Champs at the end. They should call this the Emirates Silver cup to honor Adam Silver and make a clear distinction between this and the real Champs. Make this a college style elimination tournament that wraps up as the first half of the season ends. This gives every team a chance to settle in and compete at a higher level. No Tue and Fri confusion,no running up scores, no extra divisions. A single elimination tournament would be awesome for the fans and this will also create brackets which would be awesome for the fans and gamblers : )
