Birmingham Airport in the fog

- Most of the UK was hit by dense fog in early November 2015, and BHX didn't escape. On one date the fog persisted all day - the first time I can remember that happening here for a very long time.
This is a short selection of activity in the murk, leaning pretty heavily on the Boeing 777 arrivals of Emirates and Pakistan International.

this looks fantastic just great to see the long visible vortexes there is creates by the 777. i have sen a few foggy landings this week they did not get close to this spectacle. thanks for your great view.
+Schipholhotspot Seeing the vortices etc always a bit hit and miss - sometimes you don't see 'em even when conditions look perfect

James Hale there's a hill overlooking the end of the runway which is a graveyard. It's really easy to get to by car

+AviationUpclose Yeah, some of the software stabilizers (Deshaker, After Effects' Warp Stabilizer etc) can turn a ruined shot into a usable one
Ah I see, unfortunately my editing software's attempt to stabilize videos is poor at best so I have to make do with just a tripod!
