- Princess Alexandra flies back to London from Birmingham Airport during the Commonwealth Games 2022, after an engagement in Shropshire. 👸
Her Royal Highness, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy, boarded a Cessna 560 Citation belonging to Luxaviation. This was after took time to greet several riders of West Mercia Police who escorted here. 🚔
Additionally, fire trucks from Birmingham Airport Fire Service lined up to give her a royal salute. 🚒

It's great to see the Princess affording personal courtesy to ALL of the 'workers' and police officers who try to ensure that she has a safe and a pleasant 'passage' between her flights at the airport. Well done guys.
Princess Alexandra was guest of honour at my army passing out parade back in 1990 & funnily enough I now live on a street named Alexandra Road.
I had the luck to speak to her while on army reserve duty so kind to me never forget it back street boy from Belfast a true princess 🍀🇬🇧

@Gavin Robb, She's Cousin both to the Queen and the Late Prince Philip. She's a Royal princess and stood in for Her Majesty on several occasions and often accompanied The Queen. They are very close so I'm sure Her Majesty wants to make her life a bit easier at her age. Now if you'd mentioned the other 2.....
If she is undertaking official duties she gets a police escort. Royal event timings are very very specific and timed to the minute. It's considered very rude to your hosts if you are late.
That is beautiful and a gesture all the royals should do to the loyal workers taking care of them.
Why we never see the queen Elizabeth in UK even acknowledge them or the public?

@@wildebeeste i think that Prince Harry and his wife had their reasons....... it's not easy to always put up a very happy face even when people are asking you things that can hurt you because if you lose your cool, you know that you are watched everytime that you are out of you home....... and to be honest, even a little thing like an affair outside marriage that we would just take for granted when it is done by a commoner like us, actually becomes public so quickly if done by a royal or any celebrity ..... so it must have been hard for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to deal with....... remember what happened between the Prince William and Prince Harry's parents...... it's like living in a constant hell! where you are always hounded by the media, being asked questions......I am not a royal but i think that I am glad that i am not! even if i did think that it was amazing if i was born in a royal family as a child.......... but now i am a grown woman, i have respect for the royals just as much as i respect any tough person who has seen a hard life.......... even the police, medics and the fire fighters..........no one turns their backs on their family or country unless they have a very good reason!

Princess Alexandra, like her brother the Duke of Kent, only gets protection if she is on royal business. Not otherwise.

Well really, in this day and age do we need "royals" who get such special treatment. All this should have been dispensed with 100 years ago!
Just because they were born into a family of wealthy layabouts does not make them anything better than any other educated citizen.
Police should be fighting crime, not carrying out special escorts for the privileged.
I'm sure she's a lovely lady. But, royalty is a no no for me.
This family is really a role model in regards of our carbon footprint.

Why are you advertising the prices of Megabus here? Seems a little random and unnecessary.
And they tell us to be climate conscious but they can’t drive her up 100 miles to London?!
Whilst I'm sure she is a good person and comes across well, the mass majority of the country and world wouldn't know this women if she passed them in the street, I cannot for the life of me see a legitimate reason she would need such a vast amount of security protection at such a great expense to the public. If she just was driven by an ordinary chauffeur with security training in a normal Range Rover, she would be perfectly fine.
