    Awesome job.
    Question, what do you do with a suit that size when you're not using it? Put it on display?
    I dream of making a Snorlax suit bigger than me. And when I don’t wear it I think about stuffing it and using it like a beanbag bed.

    I have actually just recently started on this project. I looked at the pattern and it looked way more ambitious than anything I had ever done. My friends and I always spend time making our costumes together for Halloween, but we never brought them to cons because we were a bit embarrassed about the hobby. So now that we had decided to make something for a con we went much bigger. My friend as Alphonse Elric and me as Snorlax. Hopefully as the rest of the year goes on I figure it out. Your patterns are incredibly helpful! Definitely a great buy! And this video helped a lot too. It really helped for the frame. And the pattern pieces are HUGE! I have no idea how I will fit through doors lol.

    This is amazing! You absolute legend! Love that you took the time to show how you put it all together too. You don't see that very often with people's builds.
    My only question to you is, how did you dye the faux fur?

    • @alucidmirage5602
      @alucidmirage5602 5 лет назад

      It's a lot easier to just buy the color fur you need, but you can use a synthetic Rit dye (specifically for polyester and such) and be super careful with your heat. (It can mess up the texture)

    • @BlackMeadowStudio
      @BlackMeadowStudio  4 года назад +2

      yeah, I didn't dye it. There may be some confusion because I used footage of me working on my Big the Cat suit. I just bought the color I needed.

    • @alucidmirage5602
      @alucidmirage5602 5 лет назад +2

      I'm still working on mine, but I actually have it so the metal frame is removable and it splits in half so the two half can lay on each other and sqush down a bit. Used buckles, velcro and snaps for it.

    I've started this process for a (maybe a little ambitious) Baba is You cosplay, but I'm stuck on the projector part. :/ I don't want to spend over 100$ getting a new projector and none of the local libraries or schools have any I could use. Am i going to have to scale by hand? (God I hope not)

    • @BlackMeadowStudio
      @BlackMeadowStudio  3 года назад +1

      Some office supply stores like office depot or staples can print off patterns large scale. It can get kinda pricey though so you may be better off buying a projector

    Anyone know how he attached the arms? Snaps? Velcro? Or would it be fine just to sew them in? Also a bit confused on how the feet go together.

    • @BlackMeadowStudio
      @BlackMeadowStudio  5 лет назад +2

      6:42 you can see buckles attached to the arm holes, inside the arms are the other buckle. As for the feet you don't really need to attach them to the body.

    Are the patterns on Etsy the big version or small version of it

    • @alucidmirage5602
      @alucidmirage5602 5 лет назад +1

      Big, but I guess they could be either. You are supposed to use a projector to scale them up until there is three feet between the lines on each pattern. It also works quite well with 2 feet, as you can fit through doors better.
