"Avast", mention of the Polekai Islands where he's from, and in Dungeons he mentions stuff about trying to lead Orcane back to the Polekai Islands. Granted this is still conjecture, but it seems fitting for him to be the one telling Orcane's story

@@Chr1sT0fu I could absolutely hear Slade sounding like that. The voice doesn't have the stereotypical pirate gravel, but there's no reason it has to. The vernacular and accent are still on point.
Not only do they shadowdrop an Orcane trailer into Rivals 2, but they also just confirm the "Orcane is the Joy god theory" while also teasing Slade's inclusion in the roster at the SAME TIME. Aether Studios is a different breed, I'm telling you

Man, I remember back when this all started out as a Smash Bros fan game with this character being inspired directly from the Vaporeon from that game. It feels good to see how far this series has gone after all these years. Looking forward to the final release!

@@At-px6rm nah it's just worldbuilding, they were already an established concept in Dungeons of Aether, which were created to flesh out Orcane's lore because he had literally nothing to his name before DoA.
I... never imagined I would want to 3D print a gelatin mold of a video game character. And even if you told me it would come to pass, I would never have suspected the character would have legs
Ok the Special getup and pummels look so sick. Love that the dev team appears to be getting so creative with them. I guess since the pummel is a mindgame your opponent can release out of if they guess which you'll pick, they can be pushed pretty hard.
Orcane looks freaking amazing. Well done... Edit: As simple as Orcane's kit is the new additions fit so well. I have yet to play Rivals 2 and have heard mixed reviews but I truly hope RoA2 catches the magic like 1 did. All the success Aether Studio.
I've always loved Orcane. He was tricky to learn in Rivals, but I could always tell he was the most carefree Rival of them all. To think I picked the incarnation of Joy as my main... Eh, heh heh heh.
I remember playing Rivals 1 a long time ago, and the one thing I didn’t like was that my son and I couldn't team up to play against bots. We could either face off against each other or play solo campaigns, but there was no option for co-op against bots. I hope they include that feature in the next version.
They knew teleport for the special pummel wouldnt be useful so they made one of her throws get powered up from the puddle This team puts kit synergy in front and when it works its beutiful
If Rivals was an anime, who would be the main character? So many of them (like Orcane) have main character vibes in different ways, which I find fascinating.
