Jonathan & Todd, CONGRATULATIONS!!! To be trained by the best in the world too, what an honor! Edd seems like he's the "cool uncle" that everyone gravitates to at family gatherings. So much has opened up for you, now. I cannot wait to see even more of the Blue World.
Great job on a serious accomplishment! Did my cave rebreather course with Edd back in 2017; the best thing that came out of it is my enduring friendship with Edd (and Stacy.) Edd is the real deal: a tough instructor who makes sure you know your stuff before you leave, and is always available for support after.
That’s CRAZY how you were out there past sunset. Awesome! Also I knew Edd and his team were masters of the sidewinder but literally burning the harness away? They’re incredible. And Blue World Team, awesome work as always.
Edd is not just a master of the sidewinder. He's THE master. Literally #1, first ever diver certified to use it, even helping test and tweak the design
Congratulations! We're an hour away from Ed's, we often free dive the Pond including Gator Hole and paddle by his place, must be an honor to train with him! Great work with Blue World!
I love blueworldTV so much, what a beautifully crafted channel! Its a real highlight for me when they post a video. If anyone asked me to define the word hero I would say the words Edd Sorenson! The people he has saved at great risk to his own life has no words, he is truly a person who has given far more to the world than he has taken. Thank you blueworld for making a blue world so bright 😀!
Congrats! You show me doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been diving, you can learn new ways. It is a very high level. I can’t wait your new videos:)
Finally! Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to see the caves this will open or the Blue world team. Hope to see more collaboration with the dive talk guys. I can only imagine how fun trips are with that crew!
Glad we got to come along for the journey I was going to check out Ed’s school I want to get cave and rebreather certified but after seeing this I will definately wait a few hundred more dives before I even attempt to go there. He is tough but for a good reason he wants to minimilize causalities due to improper training.
I love all the attention to bouyancy. Perfect bouyancy at 3’ is a LOT harder than at depth, as the increasing pressure actually helps mitigate small errors. At least on open circuit. Great video!
Jonathan, it made me feel great seeing you guys getting your butts kicked. I just wrapped up a sidemount class down there last weekend and felt the exact same way. Ed’s crew are masters of the diving discipline. You guys did a great job, congratulations on surviving the toughest crew in diving!
The only diving I've done is Freediving offshore in my home State which is Florida, I have not done any SCUBA (yet) of course because I don't have the training, the Equipment or the Finances for the Equipment just yet. But I have been watching channels like Dive Talk for awhile now and have been engrossed in not only SCUBA and CCR but just Diving in general for the better part of 2.5 years, and I've watched just about every piece of content that I've found that features Sorenson ever since I found out who is, watching this just solidifies the absolute beast of a Diver he and Mehdi are, absolutely master class divers. Incredible Video, and I look forward to maybe one day getting to be trained by Sorenson and Mehdi myself one day, but I will certainly visit the Dive Shop, which is 4.5 hours away from me, someday in the future.
Lol nice, I've been watching Dive Talk for over a year now, meaning Ed Sorenson is one of the most easily-recognized names to me. Cool to see you're working with him.
Well done you two!! So happy for your accomplishment. Look forward to all the new content you will be bringing to the channel now that you have this sidewinder certification. Bravo!!👏👏👏

@@BlueWorldTV that’s amazing! Thank you for letting me know that makes me even more excited to get my unit when it’s ready! And thank you it’s okay It shouldn’t have happened I visited the hospital multiple times by the last visit I woke up the next day in so much pain and I tried standing up I couldn’t walk at all. But I’m painless and I’m cleared after a long battle of blood clots and back surgery pain. Keep being you, you are amazing BIRD!
You can really see a difference on Day 3! Your movements are smoother and more deliberate. You can tell you know what's going wrong and what you need to improve. Really cool.
Also, Mehdi with that camera! WHAT?! Did Edd even know he had a visionary videographer on staff? :)
Mehdi took to the filming pretty quickly!
