Reverse osmosis is dead water if you don't know berkey filters are better at filtration
@@shnoah641Berkeley are garbage. There are many independent test done. They add heavy metals not reduce
Zero filters are terrible. Modern castle sent off water samples from Arizona town water to an independent laboratory and they were worse than brita. Many many better ones out there
according to WHO healthy drinking water should have TDS value range between 150 to 400.
So you got the one filter that actually works for some reason. That doesn't make everyone else crazy.
Ive used Zero Water filter for over 20 years. I’ve never once had a problem with them. LOVE IT!
I got a 40 cup Zerowater Filter because my tap water is 450! And it’s smelt like chlorine! And this filter takes every little bit of stuff out of it. I love it! Chlorine and junk in my water VS amazing filtered water…. Ya I’ll take the Zerowater! It may last only 3-4 weeks but my water is terrible and I feel better and healthier since filtering the water!
Maan that is hazardous, dangerous lvl is 500, so I dunno man think about moving.
P
I would consider filtering your water through a cheaper one, then this one to save money. My water is almost as bad (340).
I saw a comment from someone who used 2 Zerowater pitchers, allows the filter on pitcher #1 to reach 18-30, then puts the filter from pitcher #2 (which has been used to "refilter" water that went through pitcher #1 first) into pitcher #1. He said that meant he uses far fewer filters per year this way! That is what I am going to do - 20 cup Zerowater pitcher on my kitchen counter, then that filtered water will go into the reservoir of a 10-cup Zerowater filter in my fridge (I love COLD water, I live in quite a hot climate).
My tap water shows about 315 ppm on the meter, I have never used it to drink here, but even the supposed spring water I buy for almost $1 a gallon shows 174 ppm! And after filtering the tap water, it is 0, just as the advertising says. Amazing.
@@debbiedogs1 I do this. and it works.
If you want to add minerals back into your water use a Himalayan salt spoon and stir it once . There your minerals are in the water now.
Just bought my Himalayan salt !
Exactly!!!
I was thinking of that
pink himalayan salt
edit:(?) it’s a question I forgot the question mark
@@pinkroseyroseto be honest Celtic salt is much better than any other salt on the planet.
I’ve been using zero water filter for 18 months, I use the 10litre countertop unit. If you use the water to cook with it will never last 3 months. I live on my own and replace the filters every 6-7 weeks. The best thing about using a zero filter is it pulls the chlorine out, which kills the healthful bacteria in our guts.
Also I live in Arizona we have some of the worst tap water you could drink the water has a nasty smell coming out of the tap. Zero water tastes like spring water.. no smell whatsoever. It works excellent.
Great to hear from someone isAZ that's where I'm at and I just bought ZeroWater because the tap water is disgusting.
A good trick is to use a cheaper faucet mounted filter as a pre-filter when filling the zero water jug. This will greatly increase the lifespan of the zero water filters.
Exactly. I bought a Brita pitcher when it was on sale for like 10$. And since you can get like 6 Brita filters for like $4.50 a piece, I filter my water through Brita filter first, then filter it again through my expensive zerowater filters. Makes it last longer AND you get all that chloroform and fluoride out of your water.
It may or may not. In my case, I use Brita-brand faucet filter on my tab, and TDS reads 67 with the faucet filter, while the raw water reads 56 (without the faucet filter). And the filter is still in its active lifespan. I've decided not to use Brita system anymore in the future. Make sure that if the suggested strategy works for your particular situation before settling on the otherwise sensible conjecture.

I use filtered water from fridge to fill my zero water 7 cup. Others in the house don't mind using water from fridge
The water tastes incredibly clean and fresh after filtering through this baby. I use a sink mounted + ZeroWater. Very epic, even most bottled water doesn't taste this clean.
I live in Wolverhampton and we have had the jug and tank for 3 years! Our pre-filtered readings are 350+. Our jug sits on a work top and the filter typically lasts 4-6 weeks, the tank is in the fridge and the filter lasts upwards of 3 months! The best piece of kit we have ever bought!
What's a tank ?
Honestly this video helped me more on deciding if i want to check out zerowater then some other vids I've seen or reviews i read on Amazon. Many Thanks
You made a lot of sense. I like it! 👍
I've been using ZERO WATER for five long years now and i love it, no need to carry heavy gallons of water from the store ✌
How often do u replace the filters? And how much are they?
@jaimeabbott1386 it depends on the water in your area. I just bought the dispenser type one not the jug . The units come with a tester and they recommend replacement of filter when reader reads 006 , 000 means you are good . I'm not sure how much the filter are but I did buy one when I bought my unit I want to sayvit was between 15 and 24 us dollars where I got mine. Changing of filter depends on how hard the filter works pretty much
You are spot on about the minerals in water, they are a very insignificant dietary source. I get my water from a deep well and have used two of the different brands of water filters over the years and will say that Zero Water is by far the best filter, although it doesn't last as long as the others, but I started using my old Brita water pitcher to pre filter water before running it through the Zero pitcher, and it more than triples the lifespan of the Zero filters.
This is such a useful comment. I’m filling my brita right now lol my only issue so far has been that the water doesn’t filter into the 40 cup monster dispenser. It’s been in there overnight and still hasn’t done much. I squeezed it as directed by the company but it didn’t seem to do much at all. Does it ever actually fill the container? lol
@@Stephaniemickle Yeah, not sure what's up with that, it should fill the pitcher within 10 minutes or so. Maybe the filter is defective or plugged or not put in right?
@@Stephaniemickle I've been using ZeroWater filters for at least 5 years now.I've had that happen only twice. Its a simple fix, remove the filter and shake it hard for a few seconds. May need to bang on the side with your hand. Of course not hard enough to break the plastic or hurt your hand. It's called "burping" the filter. It gets the bubble out of the inside. It should work fine afterwards. This burping of the filter is rare necessity, btw.
@@StephaniemickleThe rectangular lid fits so tight that it creates a vacuum in the top tank. As soon as you move the top rectangular lid so it has a visible air gap, then the top will drain until it fills the bottom tank.. I hope that helps.
Shake filter hard several times on its side. may have a bubble blocking it.
Thanks for this, I suffer from quite a few health issues including problems with my kidneys and bladder. After doing some research it turns out these issues are (among other things) caused by calcification and a lot of it could be from tap water especially in hard water areas. Upon finding this out a lot of things started to make sense and so I'm now in the market for a water filter!
I was looking at the Brita systems and being in the UK myself it seems to be the top selling brand. I looked for reviews on RUclips and came across one from the US that reviewed among others Brita and Zero Water. The thing that stood out to me is that all the filter systems produced almost the same TDS (some even more) than unfiltered water except Zero Water that produced ZERO!
I immediately looked on Amazon to see if it and extra filters were available in the UK and thankfully they are so I then went on to RUclips again to look for reviews on Zero Water expecting to find a bunch of reviews from the US but to my surprise YOURS was the first one I came across and has helped me make my decision to purchase one. I think I'll need to replace the filter sooner than you however being on the South coast but at least I know they are available here!
You may want to check out the RUclips channel modern castle and their episode on water filters. The zero water's actual filter created byproducts that are harmful. Also check out the water guru channel.
Zero Filter is a *LIE!!* Please stop using it!! It just changes the water to make it _READ_ zero PPS, but it's not true!! It's a parlor trick!!
Can’t be more harmful than drinking recycled shit water!
I've had mine for years and it works really well, I have the bigger one family size one. It's really superb there's no taste to the water at all.
The filter for Zero Water is supposed to be good for 30 gallons (114 Liters). So depending how much water you drink it lasts for quite a long time. My first filter lasted me a year. I just started using my second one. So far, really love this filter.
A gallon a day= 1 month. A half a gallon a day= 2 months. For someone not working out, it might last a month or two at most. Depending on how many minerals are in you water, it might not last long at all.
You must not drink much water if you are only having to change once a year for 30 gallons LOL
@@matt3247 I really don't.
@@slyfox4564 yeah except she said year homie. Those are my people. Make it last as long as you can until you have to give in and replace the filter lol
Mine lasts about 2 1/2 to 3 months and I drink a lot of water daily
The fish smell comes from heat and sunlight exposure to the filter. You can do an easy test by leaving it in direct sunlight and see the result. Simply keep it away from sunlight and ensure it doesn't get exposed to high temps. The anion exchange resin releases trimethylamine, which is the fish smell people are experiencing.
Thanks iwanna buy one tomorrow
There are places here in the US where TDS out of tap water can be as high as 800+. So our filters are likely to not last as long.
Just got my zero water and tap water registered 345.
The TDS almost hit 1000 last year where I live. The Zero filter lasted about 15 runs, distilled water is about my only option.
@@mikethebloodthirsty spring water?
Yep. Mine read like 339 😮

People can always put those "mineral balls" in there, that adds healthy minerals. If they are concerned about it. And even those "alkaline balls" (alkaline water is a thing also.)
I'm going to get one for my house plants!
Great video, friend! I love it!!
I have one of these. I use it to clean the water from the tap that I use in my humidifier. I have a lot of calcium in my tap water and it makes a mess out of the humidifier after 3 months. So I bought this. It works absolutely great for this purpose. No calcium buildup in my humidifier. But after 4 weeks or so the filter builds up a bio load. The water takes on nasty smells. And the humidifier pumps that nasty smell out into the room. I have to add bleach to the water then to kill the bacteria to get rid of the smell. No way would I drink that water.
I had it tested in a lab. Turns out it is E coli bacteria. I changed out the filter with a new one. Will see if it happens again. This was the filter that came inside the pitcher when bought brand new. I also cleaned the entire pitcher with bleach before I opened the new filter for use.
To prevent any spread of E coli from the previous filter to the new one.
It is strange. The odor it made. I thought it smelled like dog urine. My wife said like a drowned rat. My kids said it was fishy smell.
It was very strong. There is no doubt if this happens that you have a bad odor.
any changes @danhammond9066 ?
If water smells like fish, it's probably because you kept the water in direct sun, and because you don't clean the container once a week. Even bottle water can develop bacteria if you left it in the sun after opening it once. Those filters are not vacuum sealed so it's possible to get some bacteria there sooner or later if you don't wash the container.
Based on the pamphlet that comes with this product, if your TDS reading is in fact, around 59, and the reader still shows 000 after three months, you probably don’t have to change the filter for a very long time.
That’s pretty cool 😊
Yeah the water tests at 44 where I currently live and the filter still reads 000 after 9 months. I only even changed the filter because the water was coming out far slower, yet still reading 000
Where I live, Coachella valley/Palm Springs area of southern CA, our tap water comes out basically white. If I got a glass of tap water, I'd have to let it sit a full minute for the water to settle and become clear. I purchased the Zero Water to update my Brita as I've always believed our city water to be crap. Upon buying the Zero Water and getting the TDS reader, I wanted to check some different water sources I have available at home currently. My Great Value purified bottle water came out to 13 TDS, not bad; my Brita bring on its last leg and end of its filter life came out to 128 TDS, having seen some readings of other people testing their Brita's I still thought that was pretty good; then I checked my tap water thinking I was going to get 5-600 TDS, I put the TDS reader in and was shocked, to say the least, to see that it only read 123 TDS, less than the Brita even. What?! Well, I don't know why the water is white initially but, at least when it comes to TDS specifically, it's really not bad at all. Still, I'll happily start and continue using my new Zero Water and definitely happy to get rid of my failed Brita. Thanks for a great video. Hopefully it helps to educate the sheeple. 🐑
The whiteness may be just simple air bubbles. If nothing remains on the bottom of the water when it's done, and the whiteness seems to go *up,* then I think it's just air has gotten into the system somewhere. I'm no expert, so please don't take my word for it, but that may mean a pipe has a leak somewhere.
@@Dimeinurear I know it's not a pipe, only because that statement is true for every place that I've used/gotten water from in the Coachella Valley. When pulling from a water source hooked up to the local, multi-city, public water district, anyway. There's nothing visual, such as floaters or other deposits, left in the water once it becomes clear. An entire glass gradually changes from white to clear after about a minute, minute and a half. That's for an average 12oz tumbler type glass but as it (whatever 'it' is in there) dissipates, it doesn't noticeably rise like air bubbles would. It seems to just fade away. Hornet, now that I think about it I can't take the air bubbles theory of the table just yet. Although it looks as if the white cloudiness just dissipates, I've noted many times that it always starts from the bottom, working its way upward. Perhaps the particular public water system the valley installed introduces air into the water at the facility. (Now you got my wheels turning...) Where kind of isolated out here. I wouldn't doubt that the water district intentionally introduces air out of necessity so that there's enough water pressure to get the water to the more isolated residential customs (like those in Sky Valley) but, being that I'm in the city, it appears so white because I'm closer to the source of air which still has a good kick behind it as it hasn't lost its steam while traveling yet. Hmmm, man, for 20 years the water being white has always bothered me and made me wary then you come along and bam. I feel like together we're Einstein our something, haha, or, well, you know what I mean. Thanks for that. 😁
@@opcpixieHah, it's weird though.. cuz at my mom's house, ONLY the sink in the basement gets the fizzy water, and ONLY when it's warm. Very strange, but like I said I'm pretty certain it's just air bubbles. Try putting your ear close to it and hearing if you hear a fizzing noise!
The filter will air lock sometimes giving you the impression that the filter is no longer working. Just add a little water and turn to empty and hold pitcher at empty position for about 3 seconds then try again.
I’m on a deep private well. Tested my water out of the tap at 9-12 ppm. Went to 0 after running thru the zero filter
I love mine. I noticed the water starting to taste like tap water after neglecting to change the filter for over a year, after the replacement, its clean tasting again. Before filtering, the tap water TDS is showing 465ppm, that's very bad.
I bought my zero 12 cup filter pitcher in Stark Florida we have well water, the water is full of minerals and sulfur smell with TDS of 352 plus it taste awful, I had two filters in line it helped some brought home the Zero filter and made it the third in line now my water taste great been using the same filter for 7 months
So when the meter reads 006 then I should put a new filter in. My reading has been all zeros for a long time just like yours. And the water in my area is very hard.
Thirty or forty years ago I worked for a few semiconductor companies, twice in maintenance working on the D.I. Water Pad. I remember being told not to drink the D.I. water because it would leach minerals -- it wasn't framed as you wouldn't get needed minerals, but rather that it would do damage as it passed through your system. I have no idea whether that's still, or ever was, a real concern.
I enjoy two popular purified bottled water brands, and know they add a mixture of minerals back in for flavor. You've answered my question -- the Zero Water tastes good. Thank you!
I'm in Norfolk, and you're right, my tap water is often in the hundreds. Three hundred plus.
Mine lasts for about a month. But I expect that's because of the quality of water here. Or lack of, should I say. I like my zero water, the tester is a nice tool.
I am In Norfolk UK and thinking of buying one
I live in Norfolk Va too and I have been struggling with this, I have a zero water filter and I find it removed everything but I’m unsure about the chlorine (due to another video I saw where lab tests showed zero water cleared everything (but chlorine) because of this I’m going to get chlorine test to test my zero water as well. 😢
I live in Linconshire, east midlands. I bought this at the 14th May 2022. 10 days later (24th May) I threw away the filter because I almost poke with the fishy smell it was coming out of filtered water. So I can testify that it lasted less than 2 weeks.
My tap water reads 350~ which is a lot. I bought 5 more filters as I intend to keep using this product.
Just want you to know that people complaining about the fishy smell are true. I witnessed it this month, and a single filter lasted me 10 days of daily use.
The reader was showing 006 when I got rid of the filter.
Thanks man
You can add some pink sea salt to the water to put back some trace minerals.
Been using a zero water 23 cup dispenser in my fridge for years. They're great, however yes... the fishy smell/taste is a thing. My tap water reads about 209ppm tds on the meter, and after about 3 months or so, I start doing the sniff test when pouring a glass. It all depends on how your tap water is treated, not sure what chemicals it takes, but after they build up in the filter for a while it's all fishy coming out. More odor than taste for a few days, then you can start tasting it. Thats when I change filters, usually around 30ppm on the meter. If I changed the filter at 006 like zero water recommends, I probably would be swapping out perfectly good filters every two weeks. I'll take 20ppm over 200 any day of the week.
My water is 101, my Zero water started tasting like Crap after 2 months and it is still showing Zero!🤬🤬

My water from the Zero Water set up started tasting very strongly like citrus. I am going to buy a new filter to see if that works.
Are restaurants using 0 water to cook the rice or are they using dirty tap water
takeaway food not an option
My filters have always smelled like fish after using them for awhile. I resolved the issue by putting it in the fridge.
I've had a Zerowater pitcher for 6 months. On the positive side, when using this filter I don't have to descale my tea kettle at all. It removes all mineral particles. However, I have gone through 4 filters in 6 months. I suppose how fast you go through filters depends on what the water you put in it is like, but the city water supply I'm on is not that bad. Other filter brands I've used have lasted far longer. With one of the filters, the pitcher started smelling like fish after 3 weeks. I'm not sure why, the other filter changes did not smell of fish. I am subscribed to ConsumerLabs, and their review of ZeroWater says that their tests detected a massive amount of microplastics in the filtered water. I don't know if that test was representative of all ZeroWater filters, but it did not make me happy. I bought a box of six filters with the pitchers. As soon as I go through those, I'm getting another type of water pitcher.
I'd like to know what you end up purchasing next.
Ive read other consumers would use the zero water first then run the filtered water through one of the higher end Britas, for the removal of microplastics. I drink a lot of bottle spring water so I don't think it'd make a huge difference with me. Plus, Zero water do have a glass option.
I know you made this video a while back but I hope this is still relevant. Your tap water coming in at around 50 or 60 TDS to start with plays a Massive part in the fact that your filter is still going strong after 3 months. I, on the other hand have horrible tap water here. My tap water comes in at between 300 to 330 TDS to start out. And my ZeroWater filters only last me around 3 weeks before the meter shows 6 and I'm forced to change so the water doesn't taste bad again. The facts are that everyone's tap water is different. Even ZeroWater states this on their inner packaging. In my area, I am only expected to get about 15 gallons of clean water out of 1 filter before having to change it and that estimate from ZeroWater seems pretty spot on.
So of course your filter is still going strong after 3 months of daily usage. It says exactly that on the ZeroWater inner packaging! You're expected to get 40+ gallons of filtration from your filter based on their estimates.
That being said, I LOVE my ZeroWater filter but I seriously hate how expensive the replacement filters are.
Run your water through a cheap brita sink filter first and then transfer that filtered water to your zero water filter. Your water should be a lot cleaner when you run it through zerowater filter, therefore making it last longer. Should save you quite a bit of money as well since brita filters are REALLY cheap.
I got the same... about 3 weeks. It also went from 9ppm to +800ppm is less then 4 days. And my tap water is only around 320ppm. Got the zero filter 26day ago... it's about 18€ for a filter that can only filter about 50L watter, so i'm done with it. I ordered a "Geekpure 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System with UV Filter 75GPD" instead.
Bought one of these a few months ago. My water tests slightly over 200 on the meter. A filter lasts a bit over a month but the interesting thing is, as soon as the filter stops working, the water tastes horrible and tests at 800. So is it leaching what it filtered back into the water?
Maybe? IDK. Maybe your tester isn't working right? Maybe you are over filling your container? IDK. Do you check the water frequently?
I use mine at my cottage
PPM is about 250
Filter last a bit over 90 fills on the BIG fridge shelf holder thingy

Has same effect and taste as distilled. Just discovered it digestion seems very cool much better than spring and tap water.
I put 10-15 gallons through mine so far....still reading 000 and the water test like spring water.
Hope you don't mind but where are you based and what is the TDS of your tap water?
immediately tasted the difference .. great purchase
I bought a tester and went to my cousin's house the other day, was gonna show it off, turns out he has the zero filter, and my tester confirmed his tester with a 000 readout. (But I'm sure the same hardware/software are in both testers, just in a different package).
I just bought one of these and while its great so far, I hear the filters don't last long and they are indeed not rated to last long (20-40 gallons... that's a lot of disparity lol) but I'll have to see for myself.
If it doesn't work out for me, the ProOne/ProPur brand under the sink filter is pretty tempting...
10 gallons only with 240 TDS water here, that sucks.
@@TT73420 It does but I'm already addicted to the taste of... nothing when I drink water lol. Other filters or tap water is like drinking vinegar to me now lol

Thanks for the video, I have been doing research regarding which filter to get for drinking and showering. I think I’ve decided on zero water for drinking, can you pls recommend any for shower which removes chlorine as my concern is with dry and itchy skin. Thanks
There are some shower filters out there but I've never used one sorry.
Excellent video. How long did it take to fill the zero water 22 cups? How many times did you have to fill the reservoir to fill?
I bought a zero pitcher for a new coffee maker to replace one that quit working due to mineral buildup. My tap water measured 260-270 something. Since the zero filters are so expensive i bought a brita dispenser to do a prefilter before the zero to help it last longer. Oddly tho, i add a dash of redmond sea salt to each cup of coffee i make.
Thats all i use the filters for, i use tap water for drinking and cooking so im still getting my minerals.
It's kinda silly (it's probably taken from the idea that getting an IV of distilled water being fatal [which is true] but the water has to be directly injected into the bloodstream... not soaked up through ingestion to be deadly.)
I've actually had the fish smell a few times from the zero filter and they only last me about 3-4 weeks per filter. I cook with it though and drink a lot of water. It's still cheaper and tastes better than buying bottled water though. And the fish smell goes away if you just do a decent clean of the container and rinse off the filter. I couldn't believe there was such a good filter I could cheaply buy like that.
what are you cleaning it with?
When it tastes odd we change it. 17 days in winter and about 13 days in summer for our family of four. Your tap water may give different results. You won't catch me drinking fishy smelling water.
Yeah. Thats why I'm here. I disassembled the entire things, and washed it in hot soapy water. Started a new batch and, I`m right back where I started. Gross rotten fish smell. I'm out
My brand new Zero Water Pitcher is showing 082 tds??????
I have the zero filter, and the first cartridge didn't last that long. More than two weeks but not 3 months. We kept it on the counter and used straight tap water. Suddenly it smelled like am aquarium. I researched it, and checked the TDS, it was slightly over .06. Put in a new cartridge, we keep it In The fridge and use the water dispenser in the fridge which jas a cheap filter, and we haven't changed this since last July and it still measures 0.0, smells and tastes great. So the 1st one didn't last nearly as long as it should have, and the 2nd one has lasted way longer than it should.
I have read that using a cheap filter first and then putting that water into the Zero makes the filters last twice as long. For some reason, that first cheap filter is taking out the bacteria that normally clogs up the Zero and creates bad smells.
I add what I need in my water. Love my Zero Filter. My Dr. Loves me my checkup in June 22 was GREAT
I used the zero water and in my opinion is its one of the best water filter systems. It really depends on how contaminated your water is that you're trying to filter on how long the filter will last you I've used the same filter for a year and still got 0.00 on the reading because my tap water isn't really to bad. I been using zero water for about 3 years.
My zero water also started smelling like fish… so i changed the filter. It’s so weird seeing people complain about that, do they understand the filter isn’t meant to stay on forever?
My water reads at 032, so extended filter life, but I can definitely tell it is removing something from the tap, that has been upsetting my stomach. Since using my stomach/I don’t feel nauseated 🤢.
A tip I read on amazon comments is to run the water through a brita first and it will last a lot longer
Talk tell us how to remove the cover
I’m thinking of buying zerowater & aquaphor pitchers
I was looking at getting the Klara water jug but is the zero water better in terms of removing impurities ?
hey :) so.. it is Osmos right? or im whrong?
So zero means no flurides parasites etc just like distilled, or almost?
those people who say it smells like fish dont keep the jug in the fridge like you should with all filters
i’ve just filtered mine first time using it and the filtered water is 077. is this normal?
is removing all chlorine out of the water dangerous? does not Chlorine kill things like yellow fever and things that can grow in water after its been distilled?
How long before it made your hair fall out?
I hear those who get smell may be due to not keeping the pitcher full. Don’t know if that’s so. Mine has never had the problem. Mine lasts over four months. I have two and I move the filter when it gets to five into older pitcher and that stretches the time the filter will last. There are also video clips on utube telling you how to use them again. Also you can get money back for returning to maker.
If you look at the reviews online they always have Brita top? On CNET however they said Zero Water has been top for the last three years.
On Zero water's website they do mention you will notice a lemon like taste which is a mechanism they used to indicate it's time to change the water filter.
I've heard about the fish like smell and people on this video have also attested to it, so I would say there's truth to it and also the filter may only last two weeks because it's hard water where they are located thus the filter has to work harder. What do you think ?
This guy gives me "safe and effective" vibes
Lmao
According to the company thing will filter 40+ Gallons at 2-50 TDS. 25-40gallons at the typical American levels of 50-200 and up to 8gallons in extreme cases where the TDS is over 400.
Im considering getting this filter as the water coming out of my tap is frequently murky and occasionally brown or red with silt
I see your point on the minerals. But if you want good tasting coffee, a small amount of minerals could taste better. I heard some are mixing 1 part tap water with 3 parts zero water. Might try this.
I like my coffee with a tiny pinch of diesel, a hint of tobacco and a whiff of biker leather!
@@mrlawilliamsukwarmachine4904 hilarious!
Mine did start smelling terrible. Had to clean and let the whole thing sit with soapy water for 2 days. But it's because I didn't change the filter for 7 months.
Change it every two months bro.
It is very possible to burn the filter out. It happened to me at my mothers and my house. Houses are 60 miles apart and with the tester I got when purchasing the zero filter said my place was in the 400’s solids and my moms was in the 600s. Both filter were bad in 3 weeks. I now just drink bottled water that I run through the zero filter hoping to be getting the plastic out of the water. I still change the filter every 6 months because I’ve heard that mold can start forming in the filters. Maybe I’ll cut my next one open and see.
I have been using the zero water filter for 2 years and it is the best tasting water
Yes I do like the zero filter and it removes lead when others do not. Not sure if a filter did malfunction or our areas water could of been flushing pipes somewhere. But did get that fishy smell only once. Had to wash everything no problem but the tester was really high not usually that high.
Will the fishy taste go away when I change the filter and do you have to clean the thing out ?
Tap water doesn’t contain minerals anyway in our country does it?
My girlfriend and I have one of Zero Water’s dispensers for about 5 months and it did actually start smelling like fish slightly and would later get stronger after it continued to filter through and the TDS tester read 6 instead of the usual 0. Not saying it’s a bad filter or anything like that (5 months is a long time), but the fishy smell definitely does happen over time and/ or could be faulty.
It *IS* bad. It is just a trick. Please use Brita!!
Mine gets fishy from time to time. I’ve been using it over a decade
@@TradBarbie It's not a trick, I'm a water wizard and this stuff is very good.
It's supposed to be changed at 6.
that happens to me too but I don't mind because its an alert to me to change the filter.
I live in Viimsi, Estonia & our tap water here is around 570... I just got the zerowater filter, but wondering also, am I the onlyone who doesn't find the aftertaste pleasing? ( Kinda bitter taste) & I am on my 3rd day in and digestive system is starting to be cleared out a lot ( extended time in bathroom). Anyone else with similar results?
Help needed…I drink about 15 pints of water a day, I can’t help it and can’t stop, is that normal or not good for me 🙈
It is a little too much. It may cause low sodium levels in the blood, especially if you drink more than 2 pints an hour. Just check symptoms of hyponatremia.
Finally, someone who speaks sense! Read so many reviews before buying one of these filters... so glad I took no notice if them! I 'm really glad I bought one .. tap water now tastes like water should!
Which one did you buy?
I love my Zero Water Filter. 😊
