In 1965, The Three Stooges - Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita (as "Curly-Joe") - performed live-action segments (filmed in COLOR) to introduce (and outro) Three Stooges cartoons for what was known as "The New 3 Stooges" TV series.They filmed a total of 40 of these "wraparound" segments for the series. This video, PART 3 of 3, presents 10 of those 40 segments (for a total of about 29 minutes worth). I cut out the cartoons; I included only the live-action segments. By 1965, many of the country's school PTA's had already complained about the violence of the original black-and-white Stooges' short films. So these segments from the 1965 show were quite a bit tamer than what fans were used to. Plus Larry's motor skills had become somewhat sluggish by this time in his life, so you'll hear some occasional slurring when Larry speaks. Certainly PLENTY of funny lines, though... *All of these segments are Public Domain*
