Fantastic warm-up for pro & recreational swimmers! Thankyou!!
I am 67 and I like swimming. It is one of my favorite entertainment. recently, after swimming, I feel pain in my neck and shoulder and sometimes in my lower back. I am not sure if my poor techniques cause this pain.
Your video is very helpful to me. these exercises are simple enough for everyone to try and are explained very well. I downloaded this video and will do these exercises for warming up before swimming. I will incorporate these exercises into my routine before.
thank you so much.
Thanks, I'm glad they have been helpful.

Love random South Park references😂
Hope I can add to this conversation! Over the years, I've come to understand that there are some common foundational issues that set swimmers up for a myriad of different aches, pains, and injuries. These foundations are often hidden unless you go hunting for them but ultimately revolve around restrictions at the hip, shoulders, neck and low back above all else. I have a video with some effective stretches targeting these issues to decrease injury risk and improve swimming performance! ruclips.net/video/L5ygqH3pj9A/видео.html

Can someone give me the information about background music, please ?
Sorry Milos, the music was purchased as part of the final production process, which was nearly 10 years ago. And I can't find any reference to where we got it from.
Ok. Thank you for quick response.
What about the hips/glutes!? And the quads? Also, that chest stretch wasn't very good?
Hey Steven, it's by no means an exhaustive list. There are many other stretches that are beneficial for swimmers. If you're looking for more stretches take a look at the Big Book of Stretch Routines, or the Stretching Handbook.... stretchcoach.com/products/
Hello is this better to do before or after practice?
This routine is best done after your swim as part of your cool down. Or, as a stand-alone stretching session if you want to work on your flexibility (make sure you warm up first). Another good time to do it is in the evening before you go to bed.

is this done before or after swimming?
***** Thank you. But then, what a swimmer is supposed to do for his muscles before swimming?
It’s for before and after 3 years later lol
both
I think it should be before because... idk?
Definetly before but after doesnt matter
Hi there, is this a warm up or post cool down routine? Thanks Adelina
Neither, it's not for warming up or cooling down. It's a routine for improving flexibility. It works best as a stand-alone workout, although is could be used as a good recovery session.
Hi Brad, thank you so much for getting back to me! I'll keep the session handy for a recovery session after a swim 😊

@@StretchCoach Thanks for your answer, I was asking the same question just a few minutes ago. By the way, I have one of your books: Ultimate Guide to S. & F. and the DVD, great work!
