    Nice work.
As you know I have several bows and each one gets its own set of arrows.
If you do the calculations my draw is about 28.5”, but my anchor on a trad bow means I’m about 29” as I draw to the thumb knuckle to the corner of my jaw.
The war bow I should be getting to closer to 30-32 if I do it correctly lol.
But then my compound I have set at 28” as I find 28.5 or 29” feels to long when you factor in also using a release aid. I feel like I’m pulling well past any stable position.
Also with how good a shot I am I prefer to go slightly long if I can so I have a change to fix a smashed shaft when I miss and punt an arrow into a rock or tree. At least there’s a change of cutting the arrow back and still using it, than cutting to exact length and if I have to shorten it then it’s too short.
I’ve found with my trad bows I like a stiffer shaft and a heavier tip.
My win and win for example is 57lbs draw weight and I run a shortened 340spin shaft with a 200grn tip I believe they are. They work really well in that combo and would make a really good hunting arrow with so much weight behind it.

In my opinion your arrows should be cut an inch shorter than your draw length and for my set up i have a 28.5 draw lenght and my arrows are 26.5. if your hitting your hand with broadhead or any part of the arrow your simply holding your bow incorrectly.

Shouldn’t we go by the individual bow/rest/draw length instead of blanket statements?

@@ThatJamesGuy88 anybody who involves themself in archery on a daily basis knows that cutting your arrows to your exact draw length is going to result in arrows being way past the riser

@@clintskeensthat’s a very big blanket statement. If you go on my measurements my draw is about 28.5”.
Typically a trad bow I draw about 29”.
But a compound I set my draw at 28” as I find it too far with a release aid any further.
I’d also rather a slightly long arrow in case you smash the tip you have a chance to repair the arrow instead of having to throw it away.
