- We're used to cold winters in Canada so this time of year in Split is perfect weather for us. We visit Marjan Hill to get some great views of the city and the sea before enjoying the celebrations of Advent on the Riva. Wandering the charming streets and showing you some of Split has us contemplating whether we should stay here a bit longer...

Split looks really nice and the weather too. I wonder if it will stay like this in January too. It's just as sunny here in Hungary as well, except that it's 15 degrees less, since there is no sea here :/ That skyblue in the end of the video:... Do you know which color composition do I like the best ? That green-yellow when the sun is shining through a leaf with this sky blue in the background.
3 days later and we're still looking for that banana split.. ;)
You might want to explore some of the croatian islands such as Dugi Otok. Ferry is quite cheap and views are really worth it.

Great videos you guys. Split is my hometown, I grew up there, but now live in Canada. It's so cool to see it through the eyes and experiences of Canadians. My experience is quite different when I come to visit haha.

It is so wonderful and fascinating what you do! Your films force me to make plans on the next holidays. I have been wondering how do you manage to travel all the time? What about the money, your job etc? I can't hide the fact that it is my dream to do exactly what you are doing, but I don't see the way to achieve this :)
Thanks Piotr! We work as freelancers while we travel so we're able to work remotely. We have a video on our channel from a few months back explaining it in a bit more detail but the main jobs we take are for video editing or travel writing :)

Thanks for this. Just got back from a trip to Croatia and, in mid to late October, it was almost too hot for me. I'm thinking of going back in December. Is it warm enough to swim in the sea in Croatia in December? I've been told by locals it's too cold, but I'm British and I'm used to swimming in the sea when the water is about 15c and the air temperature is much the same.

H! Thinking of visiting in December - can you tell me any tips for couples? Any neighborhoods in Split to stay in? Also, you mention the winter there is mild, what month was this?
Christmas is a lovely time of year because of the markets though I'm not sure how the holiday season will be impacted by covid this year. I would look for a place close to the Riva or Diocletian Palace if you want something central. The video was filmed in December and we've been to Split for two winters: one was more mild than the other so it definitely depends on the year since the weather can fluctuate a lot!
