Miss Ross is a diva without even trying.
I think the background singers are the Jones Girls.
Yup and you can hear The Jones girls back her up on You Were The One. Great Diana Ross song
The thing about Diana Ross, I don't know if this makes sense but the thing about her was that, she looks like her name. In other words, she couldn't be named any other name in her lifetime. That name was chosen just for her it seems like. How many Dianna Ross have you run into lately? Not many. The guys is right she has a presence about her that's overwhelming! So magical, by having the same iconic presence as Michael, it translated her into being and becoming a worldwide phenomenon!
Diana THE ICON Ross!!!!! She was the ultimate package!!!!! Beauty, Amazing Singer, Actress and Pioneer.
Pat ! You nailed it with your commentary ! I am with you ....she is a majestic talent. The best.
Great reaction! I just love this song! I’ve been hearing it at balls for years!
That's the Jones girls in the background who Ms. Ross discovered
I remember when love hangover first came out my older brother took me on the lake front early Saturday morning on the bike path and love hangover came on the radio I said who is that singing that song ,she was so cool with it flowing easy sexy my brothet said that's Diana Ross , I said what I nearly crashed my bike into another bike rider . Then it went from slow moton jam to fast pase by the way she was one of the first artist to do that it was reported and I completely lost it . I like Diana's you can't hurry love but love hangover put the hook it for me . I really was done after that . There simply is no other artist male or female that has that( IT ) facter to her you cannot teach someone that ,that she exhibits so naturally and freely and with do much ease . Diana does it naturally and easly and with flare , class, gratitude always says she loves her audience no one else pushes or has pushed all of the buttons all at the same time with ease , class , and with seeming no effort ,all of this in one person, just does not exist anywhere in entertainment even to this day she's all by herself .
Love Ms. Ross! And It's Amazing That The 3 Beautiful Background Singers(Who Are Sisters) In This Video Would Later On Become The Jones Girls.
This was number one, 25 years ago. You can still jam with this song. 1976 - 2021.
I don't know about you all. I want more...Love Hangover. I want more love hangover ..Tell everyone
she is so classy love her
I saw her in 94 in Cleveland and have seen numerous performances, especially Central Park, you feel like you’re at a party at her shows, this show was just fun!!!
Ooh, lovely reaction to one of the best disco songs of the 70's. I played the 12 inch of that one to death, back in the day. Thanks, Mr. President!
Her most beautiful at this point in her career. I was a teenager that year and lovvvvvveed her ,still do.
My baby my baby y’all should see my apartment picks all over. I love her
I am always surprised how few people actually know about her considerable range.
I mean her lowest notes are in "kiss me now" (multiple C#3s)
And her highest note is in "Hey Jude" (a C#7)
She does multiple C6s in "The Boss"
G6 in "sing a simple song"
A big sustained A5 belt in "One Shining moment" and a shorter one in "In the ones you love"
Sings overall very low in "friend to friend" "behind closed doors" and many more.
She has a pretty wide range, much wider, than most people think she has.
can U review - Diana Ross Marvin Gaye "You're A Special Part Of Me
This was another Number One Hit that she had and it was "Damage Control" because alot was happening in her life Professionally/Personally. For one thing her Second Movie for Motown Mahogany was a Box Office Flop, her and Berry Gordy were at each other's throats because she wanted more independence and he wouldn't give it to her. They didn't know how to act around each other after they were involved and she was about to Divorce her First Husband Bob Ellis nee Silberstein. She was pregnant with her Third Daughter and Youngest named Chudney Lane a Schoolteacher adn then there was the debacle of Florence Ballard's Funeral (1943-1976) who died in Poverty. Jermaine Jackson made his Solo Debut on The Midnight Special after he chose to stay at Motown in 1975. The Midnight Special was a Staple on TV from 1973-1981 and the show was fantastic becuase it bridged The Gap between American Bandstand and Soul Train. Every single musical genre was on the Show from Pop, Rock, Heavy Metal, Soul, and Country.
Who would want to remember that stuff about her? Btw Mahogany went on to be a cult classic beloved by millions and established her as a fashion icon. I guess some see the cup half full and others half empty. Damage control...please
"When I first heard this I was playing the album for the first time, I was in the kitchen washing dishes, I had to stop and go into the living room where the stereo was, I couldn't get enough"...
And in 1976 love hang over was my first record I bought 75 cents
