As a nurse, I've tried to document my life for the last year with weekly vlogs. Though I don't touch on my career much, I still worry about how it could impact my career as a nurse. I'd love to be able to talk about my job in an effort to help student nurses and newly qualified nurses but there's such a fine line between balancing my professional life and my personal life - I wouldn't want to step on any toes! I think you've shown that we as NHS workers have a life and can be quite fun!

I think you are absolutely right Alex, I have been a nurse for 32 years, the last 15 as a ward manager, the NHS is challenging everyday, however I do feel I can say I have enjoyed some of the best years of nursing when the job was tough but never as stressful as today! personally I think it is irresponsible to be "driving without due care and attention" by creating a video whilst driving. In my opinion this is worse than driving while phoning/texting, the attention is NOT on the road.. would you not agree Dr ?

I am quite hesitant at this time because I see a lot of Doctors as they advance in their career and get into higher positions (chief of surgery, hospital manager, health minister, etc.) they tend to be more vulnerable to things they have done as they were younger. Do you think that a youtube channel can impact your career with this aspect and what advices would you have to prevent that? Thanks in advance!
Defo go for it man! Start vlogging your day in the life as a student and build your following - as long as you remain professional and mature with your content, there’s little to no reason for it impacting the later stages of your career. All the best!
I am a nurse in outpatients in the Nhs and want to get back to more clinical nursing but it requires you to work weekends, nights and bank holidays. I would work on the bank but worry about not getting shifts and if I can buy a property being on bank. Any advice ?
