- X-Men '97 has been getting praise from a lot of people, but the ratings show a very different story. According to viewership tracking data people aren't watching X-Men '97 like Disney would like you to believe! Turns out fans have given up on Marvel and Disney+, they've damaged their brand so badly that people won't even watch the quality stuff they put out.

Yes I know they only used the They/Them nonsense once but the fact that they changed Morph in the first place and went out of their way to announce it pissed off alot of people and turned them off to the show
@@whatyuhwatchin7554 I think you misunderstood my comment. The reason I brought it up was to point out how pointless it was to make Morph non-binary if they were only going to address it once. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful they didn't do the usual extreme route of having them rant about pronouns but still, the whole thing feels truly pointless. Hell they could easily retcon it for season 2 and just refer to Morph as He/Him and no one would notice.

This breaks my heart. Yeah I love the show even though I have some issues with the story, none of its a turn off and I blame mostly to the shows limited episodes and runtime. But it is leagues better than what Marvel & Disney+ have put out over the years. However, I'm also not surprised this is happening, I myself almost didn't give the show a chance because it had the same warning sighs as so many other failed show/movies/comics and all of them could've been avoided.
This is what Disney has done to themselves, people are refusing to support anything that they put out so many are not watching X-Men '97 and many of the people that are watching are not watching it on Disney+

Most cartoons viewership don’t top compare to block buster movies. It’s normal. Young justice had 1.1% viewership in 2011. X men 97 is 6.6% which is a success.

This is like the most talked about cartoon in the last 20 years, and basically all in astonishingly good praise. It's single handedly saving Disney's reputation. The haters claiming it to be "woke ass trash" were quickly disproven once the show aired. We stay up until midnight to catch it Tuesday night, and it's already being rewatched. Can't put much faith in dirt sheet articles like the garbage you're citing lol. Show is based as fuck.

Viewership doesn't mean something is good. She-Hulk, Echo and Secret Invasion might've made the top spot, but a majority of critics hated the series.
Yes but viewership is needed for an entertainment company to gauge how well their program is connecting with the target audience and bringing in new viewers
Now as for She-Hulk, Echo and Secret Invasion I hated all of those but the reason they made it into the top 10 even once is because viewers were curious but now most people would rather watch X-Men '97 online than watch it on Disney+ because Disney has damaged their brand that badly

Nah bruh a lot of people are watching this you can even go to other RUclipsrs breakdown of the show and see the views they have. Disney plus and Disney has a win here they will probably have a win with the upcoming Deadpool as well.

Disney posting viewership numbers is not the point, the data is gathered from independent viewership ratings, that's how they got the numbers for Ms. Marvel, What If, Secret Invasion and She-Hulk all of which made the Top 10 list even though they were at number 10 before falling off but X-Men '97 has never made the list.....I am not saying that people are not watching it but people are not watching it on Disney+ and that's why the ratings for it are so low.....this is not about spreading hate these are facts
Just for anyone who watches this trash... Disney doesnt release their viewership numbers. The idea this has low viewership is from a single source that admittedly is guessing. The closest we can come to real quality guessing is social media mentions, and those are through the roof. It is estimated that each episode is getting around 27 million views. Thays significantly more than the oscors for refrence, and the most if anything since its release except for 3 body problem. Its rating are so good that Disney has already greenlit the next 3 seasons based on how many views its gotten them, and are now in talks of reviving Spider-Man 98.

Tried to watch the show and quit halfway through episode 5. The storytelling is awful rushing through major events so fast that there is not enough time to feel the after effects of a lot of those events. The show is nothing more than nostalgia bait with a focus on action instead of the drama that was found in the original series.
You are correct about the storytelling being to fast paced and lacking drama, there are some good parts but I've got problems with it

I guess they want to wait till they're greenlit for a 2nd season before they really start to beat people over the head with it.
