HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 янв 2018
- Today I will demonstrate how to make roti dough using Kitchenaid Mixer. This machine takes **ONLY 3 MINS** and makes a beautiful soft dough or roti atta. Best part is anyone can make the roti dough , even kids ! ( of course under adult supervision :-) )
P.S. This is not a sponsored video. I love my KitchenAid mixer and use it regularly !
Written instructions of this recipe : www.cookwithkashandmanish.com/
Kitchenaid is a multipurpose machine and can be used to make roti atta, paratha dough, puri dough, cake batters, and tons of baking goodies. I will share more kicthen aid recipes in the future.
Roti or fulka / phulka or chapati dough comes out quickly, no hands needed ! It does make cooking life more easier.

use just 1 cup water first, then add abt 1/4 cup more.. and knead it less..the dough gets softer as it sits.........
We can wash that pot of dough ...but how ..can we replace ..how
This is the very first video which shows kneading without cuts, hence appears very trustworthy.
I've been looking for a perfect dough maker and this appears to be an incorruptible and unimpeachable one. At last, wouldn't get mad at the very thought of making a dough.
Thank you for an honest share.
Thank you ! I appreciate your good comments.
I followed this recipe step by step and my roti dough was perfect thank you! Will always use my kitchen aid now!

This is kitchen aid, there are various versions available based on the power (watts) of the machine.
There are other brands as well cusinart, hamilton beach etc.
These machines ate not only used for kneading dough for roti but u can whip cream, make cake batter, shred meat and do various other activities with this machine that makes your life much easier.
The machine lasts u almost forever if u select a good brand.
Not at all . Buying 40000 machine which will not work for 2 years . Also you have to beg for service. You can buy rotimatic instead
Hi, may I know why does the kitchen aid manual book says to only use Speed 2 for dough making?
Love my kitchen aid and use it for doughs all the time! Makes life so much easier, doesn’t it?!? Thanks for sharing this video! Subbed to your channel! ♥️ Romi
Hello! Can you please tell me do you have to unplug your stand mixer from outlet before touching the dough hook? To me happens that I feel a little electricity strike. Then I unplug stand mixer completely from supply and then I can safely touch dough hook to remove it.
What is the price, please send me link from where u bought it
That was a super style of making roti thanks a lot 👍 .
Thank you so much 😃
love thanks for sharing
अरे वाह!! ये हुआ कुछ तबाही बात 🤩🤩
😎🙏🙏
thank you for doing this video! i prefer flat breads to loaf breads most of the time. most videos and recipes either do it all by hand or use the machine for a little then knead by hand. i don't have the space or the stamina to stand long enough for all of that. it's already in the mixing bowl, why not let it do the work. what i think i like most is that you say what number to set the machine on. even kitchenaid recipe books don't do that, really frustrating.
Thanks for the comment!
I love the guitar music😇💝💝💝💝

Is that KitchenAid color Empire red or gloss cinnamon?

Have been using for a long time .,, all Indian families in Aust has one for a long time now
👍🏼
Same here in USA. All indian family has 1 including my mom for more than 30 years and now have from last 5 years.👍
Great machine, thanks for the video
Very nice video.can you let me know that if I buy kitchen aid artisan stand mixer .every model would performance would be good or some model are good than other .
There is a smaller size model, it will knead smaller quantity in 1 go. I prefer artisan model, lift away handle. Another model is professional series but in my opinion for home cooks, artisan model is best. I use it daily.
Thanks for your video with all measurements
Very very well explained even tho u had no voice over! Thx a bunch! Clear concise n logical!!
Thanks ! glad to know this video was helpful for you :)
Thanks you .. can this appliance also handle other types of atta like 50 percent whole wheat and 50 percent bajra…. Mix atta like that ? Is motor and device powerful enough to handle that or just wheat only
Hi ,
I’m seriously looking for Dough maker for roti your suggestions are highly appreciated.
- Is there any better tool do you suggest best for Dough maker currently?
- if ans is no for the above , could you please suggest what configuration I need to look for in kitchen aid as there are multiple option when I search please.
- Do u suggest to buy this from Kohls when it has 30% off or do you think I will find better deals on Black Friday time ?
I highly appreciate your suggestions as I’m completely clueless what configuration and where to buy for better deal.
What powder do you use it I’m from USA
Wow it’s amazing 😉
Thanks! 😄
very nice video.
can you please tell me can we make this type of dough with kitchen aid 7 speed stand mixer(cheaper model in this brand)?
Yes you can. If your mixer is small, you can adjust the quantity of flour accordingly. SO you can try 2 cups flour and 1 cup water.
Is this bowl 3.3 litre or 4.7 litre. Amazon shows two varieties
Hi... How often you suggest byuing this Mixer..?
Can you please post the amazon link for the product since it is hard to find. Appreciate your help.
it's a kitchenaid.
can u share which series artisan mixer is there
Thank you so much
Price please?
Thank you very much! It helped me out alot!⚘
welcome !
Hi thanks for the video. Can you please tell me if whole wheat flour bought from Walmart or any American store will work?
This is sold as 'atta' in Indian stores. OR you could buy '100% whole wheat' from Walmart etc.
Whats the model if this standmixer- how much minimum watts power moter it should have? Can u make a video on how to choose a good stand mixer. I bought two both turned out to be rubbish.
Thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear that your other stand mixers were no good. It depends what do you want to do with a stand mixer. To mix normal cake batters or to whip cream, a normal hand held or light weight mixer is okay. Kneading dough is one of the heaviest jobs a mixer can do. Dough is very dense and a mixer needs to work hard to knead it. Light weight mixers will break doing this. I do not own many mixer to do a comparison video, but I suggest you go for atleast 300 W power. American Test Kitchen channel has a good video comparing various mixers and they also suggest Kitchen Aid. I suggest you watch that video. Link below. My model is 5 qaurt Kitchen Aid Artisan. Hope this helps you. Good Luck. :)

Hi can you tell me where do u get the jali on which u roast the roti on gas???🙏 Thanks.
It is available in utensil stores in India, and any Indian store here in USA. Thanks
Wow, wish I found this video sooner.
Thank you!
Can I have link to buy this ?
I want this. Where you get this machine?
This is amazing.
I really want to know how you do the roti rolling technique without lifting your hands or switching the direction in which you roll the roti. You seem to be doing it in one go.
And that too without using extra flour. It would be great if you could do a video of that.
A lot of practice. :)
I will try to do a video. Thanks.
what i have learnt from my father is you dont put equal pressure on both sides of the rolling pin, you keep a bit higher pressure on one side and the dough automatically rotates while being flattened at the higher pressure area. the other thing practicing this by slowly increasing the pressure till you develop the necessary muscle memory to do this without thinking. hope it helps you, as it helped me.
@@DorjeB0dh Thank you very much. I will keep this in mind the next time I'm rolling chapatis. :)
Tell its price or ye bijli se chalti hai ya just button press krna prta hai
Excellent
Can you please tell me if you’re using whole wheat flour that is at any grocery store?,..I’m from Mexico I will love if you answer me.
Yes. this is whole wheat. You can try to buy whole wheat flour from an Indian grocery store.
Hello! What color is your mixer? Absolutely stunning!
thanks! its burgundy
Cook with Kash and Manish Bordeaux?! Maybe? 😳
Very nice review
Thank you 🙂
Nice 👍🏾
Where is your shop?
Lovely.... Do show whole wheat bread without extra gluten.. How long we need to knead in this mixed
I knead it total time of just 3 mins from start to finish. Then let dough rest for 30 mins, covered.
Video starting main hook state tha aur video ke, last Mein hook band tha which time you change the hook? Please explain this question.
It only comes with the 1 dough hook attachment, they never changed. The first image is taken at an off angle so the attachment looks straight, but it's the same hook shaped attachment show later in the video.
Can you make bread dough with this ?
How much watts ur machine is?
Hello, where did you purchase the stove rack to puff up the roti?
i got it at an indian grocery store for about 5 $ few years ago.
Which one to buy in India ?
Thank ya for the demonstration : how to make the flat bread.
Can we make puran for puran poli ?
Just made these and not sure if dough was too dry or if I had them too thick but I could not get them to puff up. Do you have any suggestions?
It may depend on the flour. Try to add a bit more water if it came dry. Puffing happens when there is enough water to create steam inside. There can be two reasons for less water 1. Too little water when mixing dough. 2.Cooking on pan for a longer time (lower heat) and water dries out. You can also experiment with slightly warm water to make a softer dough. Good luck. Let me know how it turned out.
How many quartz?
Did you try gluten free? Jowar bajra etc?
Hi....I want to know abt tawa...I hope its steel one.which brand is it?
This is high quality analon which I only use for rotis. Don't use roti pan for other purpose. It increases the life. You can also try cast iron tawa from Lodge.
Where i get this machine please reply me urgent
How much price and from where we can buy. Is it online available
You can mix the dough in your regular mixer-grinder too using the same method. yes, I have done it. The only inconvenience is that you have to wash the blades and the container afterwards, but it would not be that messy as you think it would be.
It has high chances of breaking
That's right. A low power machine will struggle to mix the dough.
Cleaning the jar or bowl and blades afterward is a headache in food processor
Or mixer. I have Preethi food processor and cleaning blade is very difficult after kneading.
In kitchen aid cleaning
Looks easy.
veeeeryyy bad idea lol
@@mishaalzk6033 yes , I first did it as an experiment ( whether it is possible to knead dough in regular mixer-grinder) and was not very hopeful about the result. But it turned out much better than my expectations. If you add a spoon of oil in the mix, the dough will not stick to the blade much. Try that and see. You have to take good care of the water quantity though. Make adjustments to the flour and water quantity 2-3 times to get the right consistency of the dough.
Your mixes is how many quarts one is it 5 quarts or 3.5 quarts pls let me know planning to buy one which is better option
this is 5 QT. The bigger will be better in think.
Which brand good
Nice presentation. Does it come out very soft? My kid like soft chapathis
yes, very soft! The tip to make soft rotis is to use correct amount of water. If water is less, rotis come out chewy.
From where I can but this mashie
What do you call the wire grill thing that you cooked the roti on?
It's a simple grill or a roti grill that is available at any Indian grocery store.
Thanks for making the vid and sharing, everything is very fine, just roti size is v. Small don’t mind.
Thanks
That one is pulaka
I want to make a bunch of roti pressed but not cooked to yse over 2 week period for 1 person.
How do I keep them sd prepped roti and take out to cook and eat?
Hmm.. You can try to cook them half way so they dont stick and keep them in fridge separated by butter paper. When you want to eat, warm them fully. You can try this method. I guess it should work. Thanks.
What is the prize of this kitchenaid mixer.plz tell me
Hai super ethe avde kittum plz price
Can you put an amazon link please
Is that a metal dough hook or plastic hook to knead... Pls tell me is tat strong...
This is metal. Very durable. Thanks
Ty soo soo much! This being a never ending issue, id gone back to getting rotis from costco untill now!! Loved the way the dough came together. Could you please post one more for poori too? Tried using the same method but for some reason, its just not puffing up. Thanks in advance.🥰
Poori dough needs to be slightly stiffer than the roti dough. So just reducing the amount of water should do it. Also do not roll out your poori's too thin. They don't puff well when you roll them thin.
that was amazing
@selwyn Ramjit thanks !
the way you got it to swell on an electric cooker using a pot rack was just brilliant , i am an engineer and i like when ppl are being innovative that was really outside the box thinking
thanks ! I actually learnt that trick from my friend, who learnt it from her mother in law. I'm an engineer too btw 😃
How much dough it can make at a time ..half kg atleast?
Very nice
i luv u ... U saved me.
My opinion : A+
Can u share the link of the machine..
