They are guaranteed to brake in under 6 months! Especially if it gets daily use for 3hours plus. Look at hori gear and the reviews show everything they make definitely brakes
@kjellking5264 Thanks, I am in the process of uploading an hour long video. Hopefully, it will be uploaded within a few days. My internet is running slower than it did last week, and it's already slow enough. 🤣
There should definitely be a setting for "centre spring" or something similar for the wheel to return to centre when you let go after a corner. Worth checking out.
@RemnantsOfBeauty I will check out the settings in the Hori app and in game to see. I didn't mess with any settings because I wanted to see what the wheel would do straight out of the box. If there's settings for this and it works I will make a short video for everyone.
Did you see how you position your truck before reversing? and your maneuver... like a king! and also in your gear changes, the engine speed... I directly saw that you were a pro... that's a pleasure... I'm a bus driver in Brussels, Belgium... thank you again for your videos
@MarcH-gj3ph thanks for the compliment. I do my best, I have my days where I am out to lunch. Lol A bus driver, I bet that's an interesting job. Greetings from Florida.
Since you mentioned your power going out I assume you're in an area affected by the hurricane. Stay safe! I'm further south. We got hit pretty bad but we're okay.
@playerx240 glad to hear it. I have been trying to contact one of my friends who lives in the Tampa area with no luck. I am up here in the northeast area of Florida. The power came back on late last night. I feel bad for the people in the Tallahassee area of Florida. They got hit the worst.
The game has an automatic turn-off turn signal. Just select it in option menu. Unless hori wheel doesn't allow it. Also the wheel auto center can be selected in the game option menu
@30noogard thanks for the information and help, I will check it out. I personally prefer to turn off the turn signal rather than the auto feature. It's what I am used to at work.
You'll need to mess A LOT with the force feedback setting in ATS to get a good feeling steering wheel. Took months for me to find the sweet spot or the closest to it at least
I pretty much set up my wheel to act as if the truck has variable power steering; gets really weak at low speeds & the faster I go the stiffer the wheel gets
What stand Is that you're using? I was looking at something to put a wheel on was thinking about getting a wooden desk cuz I have a glass desk and can't clamp nothing to it
@DarkCoffeeGames I googled your choice, and it should work (the classic version). You might have to drill a couple of holes to anchor the pedals to the stand like I had to with mine. Otherwise, it should work.
hey, my wheel has a sync problem with ets2 (haven't tried ats yet) with the game wheel. so if i turn to fast on the wheel, they go out of sync and it makes a "slip" in the hori wheel when it re-sync. so my question to you is that, have you felt anything like that and what settings for the wheel are you running? kind regards
During my 2nd trip video that will be aired on the 2nd you can see me fight it at times. When I want to do a fast turn, I will let the wheel do its thing and it wouldn't react fast enough. This is in ATS, I think I need to play with the setting more, which I plan to do. I haven't tried the Hori System out in ETS2 yet, I plan to do some driving in ETS2 in a couple days. I am hoping to have content out for ETS2 with the Hori system by the end of the week. Maybe you can compare my videos to your current experience. Hope this helps.
@DirtyDogsNonsense well if you figure something out that fixes that problem, I would love to know how :) I love the wheel and everything with it, but that sync problem is something I experience fairly alot. But I also have a steering knob on mine so that might just help to increase the occurrence of it as well
@christinaandersen9438 Next time I go for a drive I will pay more close attention and notice anything that you're describing in your message above. Then I will let you know. I only have about 2 1/2 hours of drive time on my wheel so far. Keep you posted. 😊
thanks for the video! one question about turn signal lever - shouldn't it turn off indicator once you finish turning maneuver and center back the wheel ? I noticed you needed to hit it to turn it off..
@eMBit_TV I have the turn signal to shut off manually, like in most of the real semi trucks that are on the road. Plus, that's what I am used to doing at work. In the game, you can choose to have it auto shut off, but I don't like it. It's personal preference. I will demonstrate my reasons in the next video. Once power is restored, I will start working on it.
@@DirtyDogsNonsense ok, now it makes sense :) I don't have much to do with real trucks, especially in US (greetings from Poland :)), but I took it as something natural it should shut off by default. :) at least my experience from european cars tells me it should be like this :) good it's still possible to be set up in the game settings, but it's a bit disappointing for me it doesn't shut off mechanically in the wheel. On the other site, it's american company product, so it is probably more tailored to how it works in US trucks. cheers!
@eMBit_TV greetings from Florida:) Most regular vehicles have the auto shutoff turn signals, including my pickup trucks. I believe in both ATS and ETS2, the auto shut-off turn signals are turned on by default. I will explain and demonstrate why I prefer to do it the hard way. I will show both ways for everyone to see. Take care.
@DirtyDogsNonsense Huge difference going from a 900 degree wheel to 1800. I personally have unassigned a lot of the top buttons. My major problem is the shifter, it's seems too small for me.
@WheelHolder742 It definitely takes time to get used to. The shifter is too small. That's why I stalled the truck out towards the end of the video. I still had it in high range. Lol I got curious last night and looked up the euro style logitech shifter, and it seems twice the size of what's on the Hori system. The product could use some improvements. 😊
@ArrowsRealm for my current setup, the shifter is almost setting too low, but it feels fine for me. It might be for others, just got to find the right spot. If the shifter was larger, it would be perfect for my use. 😊
@ArrowsRealm about the wheel self centering, I am still playing with the settings. It does, I made some changes to my settings as you might see a difference in the next driving video. It's still not perfect after I completed the second run. At times, I felt like I was fighting it when I was making hard, fast manuvers, but I think I just need to adjust the settings more.
I've been using mine now for 5 days. And no matter how I set the in game settings or how many times I reconfigure the Hori app/driver settings, mine wont vibrate. All the other force feed back features work, the wheel turns at 1440 and centers back just fine. the rumble feature just doesn't work, I run into guard rails and not even the slightest vibration. All settings, Hori and in game, are at the highest.
@rogerwhitney7720 you might want to contact Hori and see what they say. There could be something defective in your unit. I am still making small adjustments to mine.
Do you guys call your trailer brake a “spike”? That’s what they call it here in Canada. Nice first run! As for the buttons in the way, what about putting on a cheap spinner knob from Amazon or printing one if that’s an option?
@SoleEpiphany I call the lever that's on the dash or steering column a trolley brake. About the buttons being in the way, I will try that idea. I have a spinner lnob somewhere around here, I will try that next video.
@@DirtyDogsNonsense I’d heard about it but noticed it more in your video that 900 or possibly 1800 degree turning on the wheel is definitely a game changer. I think it’s 900 from what I read.
@@smokeyjoeDingDongExores The biggest difference between the two, the G923 and Hori is the size of the wheel. Both wheels feel good and similar. I think the force feedback is a little better on the Logitech than Hori because it's a racing style wheel. In Hori's defense, I don't think I got all the settings in the right place yet. I am still tinkering. Far as the shifter goes, the Hori shifter feels nice, but it's too small for my liking. I don't have a Logitech European style shifter topper to compare, but looking at pictures I think Logitech would be better in that department. The Hori Truck Control System is a nice system, it's not perfect. If Hori does a version 2.0 and make a few adjustments, I believe it will be hard to beat for the price. Just got to figure out if it's right for you. Hope this helps.
@celeroon89 unfortunately I do not. I might adjust a few settings and see what happens. If I see any numbers, I will let you know or if I might make a short video of it. It just depends on what I see and if I think it's useful information or not.
