- This episode we attempt to launch the first Kerbal into space ahead of the United States.
For All Kerbalkind is a competitive career mode series with N9 Gaming set in realism overhaul with RP-1 realistic progression. In my videos I lead the Kaputnik design bureau as it races to raise the red flag across the solar system. The game is in version 1.8.1 and uses the Making History expansion.

A small soviet tip: if your [satellite name]-1 fails, the next one is also a [satellite name]-1 because previous one was a weapon test (failture on ascent) or something like heavy science payload with a routine mission (critical failure, but its in orbit). The USSR did such things with almost all satellites which didn't complete their mission, like the some of the Venera series
There is no soviet failure, you should go to the goulag (sorry I don’t know how to say it in english (I’m french))

Luna 1 launch was the most kerbal and soviet thing ever
I was wondering for a second if he was going to do a redo since the rocket exploded on the launch pad and not in flight.
It only lacked earth shattering KABOOM
I'm pretty sure the entire Soviet space program was the most kerbal thing ever
Luna 1 IRL just straight up missed the moon, closest approach to the moon was about 4,500 km
If you think about it, a crew capsule is kinda like an advanced biological sample.
I guess that's why that contract completed.

Technically, Luna 1 did get off the pad, but it came back down to Earth very early.
At one point you and N9 should collab and make a ‘ISS’ where it is a powerful satellite but you both get science and communications for both of you

When you really want a creator to create a series faster and upload it more often so you can watch more, but at the same time you don't want them to spend any less time or effort or love making it so you just kinda have to watch the latest episode like three times instead.

A real joy. Walley Schirra didn't want to be bothered with a lot of science we he commanded Apollo 7. He wanted to make sure the spaceship worked.
In Russian 'Dog' is 'собака', pronounced Sa-baka. Although that's an in-general term as like everything else in the language there are multplie versions depending on gender and useage.

I'm loving this series. My one complaint is that there are quite a bit of spoilers for N9 Gaming's new episode. I like that you have the worldbuilding aspect, but I wish there was a way that wouldn't spoil the other video.

Opinion: cosmonaut is the correct term. Unless they go to another star or land on the sun, astronaut is a strange word.
I mean star sailor or space sailor. Starship and spaceship are both accepted terms.

You know, with successes being spread more or less evenly between both, the Moon or bust attitude that lead to the Apollo programme being what it was IRL and then not much happening after might not happen here.

As far as I know, Chinese still call theirs astronauts. The mandarin for astronauts is TaiKongRen so maybe you get the that weird terms from that but no one ever call them that here.
