After the 3.3 archon quest, it is confirmed that the person with red hair is Niwa and not Katsuragi. The two are separate people. Nevertheless, Niwa is still confirmed to be related to the Kaedehara Clan in blood making him a relative of Kazuha.

Life is suffering. But it is also wonderful as well. Even if everyone you know and love dies, that doesn't mean it's the end. As long as you are alive, you'll always have the opportunity to meet others. And through that opportunity, you can form new bonds. To be alive means to have the opportunity in obtaining happiness.

I’ve always felt that during the ‘third betrayal’ Scaramouche isn’t really angry with kid. He blames his mortality, he’s angry with the unfairness of life and losing every hope of finding happiness between mortals.
It’s sad that he gave up on his true self and his ‘humanity’ to become what was (supposedly) expected from him :(
I figured he just doesn't understand the differences in emotions and just attributes all 'sadness ' as a betrayal. His creator who he sees as his mother abandoned him causing him great pain that's a betrayal, a friend who he trusted actually betrayed him causes a similar pain so also a betrayal, a human who he wanted to be friends with and such for a long time dies due to human fragility, similar pain so another betrayal. He was never given a proper chance to understand his emotions and how deal with them.

2:05 - Since the fight between Nagamasa and Kunikuzushi was left ambigous. This particular image is meant to trick the player, Katsuragi didn't betray him, but rather wanted to protect him and his identity. This "he" was actually Nagamasa. I like to believe that shortly after his friend's execution, during the fight, Nagamasa tried to push Kunikuzushi into the fire's furnace and burn him alive. But since Kunikuzushi was built different, suffered burns but didn't die. Meaning that this memory is distorted.
@natsumei Possible. Dottore was the one who unlocked Scaramouche's potential. And meeting again at Sumeru, pretty sure his memories were muddied through the process.
Agree but i dont think his memory is distorted because he did spare his descendent when eliminating the raiden gokuden.

I hope the sacra understand that all the people he met was doing good for him but he was a kid he never understood....and made his own mindset...in 3.3 he will eventually understand and become partner of traveler
i mean his mom need to be beaten up with the power of friendship to use her brain n snap from her grief so he need some ass beating for sure

Either that and he redeems himself and turns into a good guy or maybe we wipe his memory via the Akasha or something to save Teyvat and Scaramouch from himself turning him into the Wanderer and we help him to become a new and better person those are my two theories on how it will go

Scara feels so human. The misunderstanding of complex emotions feels so.. relatable. I had goosebumps the entire time I watched this the first time. Now more so knowing and understanding him a lot more.
How, after three bad things happened to him 2/3 actually tried to help him but he took it as betrayal, on the last one the kid died and scara said, oh he broke his promise of STAYING ALIVE
@@Miles_Nova because when someone starts to not like us or something bad happens, we asky why. We wonder what happened and may never know the true intentions. If you're insecure you assume the absolute worst. Scaramouche assumed betrayal. He couldn't understand the simplicity of death. Therefore he blamed the child for abandoning him
Manifesting for mother and son interaction through his story quest. Hopefully, we will be able to accompany the wanderer on his journey to find the truth about Ei and his two friends. Maybe even a part where we see him finally free and happy. Sounds ambiguous but I hope something good in his favor would happen soon.

It seems scaramouche might never fully hated Ei like the fandom thought, he still has the golden ornament and clothings similar to her. After Ei's development I'm sure she has better view on many things so I hope for her to meet with him again.

The reason why his (IF YOU DIDN'T PLAY THE 3.2 ARCHON QUEST PLS DON'T READ FURTHER I DON'T WANNA SPOIL ANYONE) "No, wait! Please! Anything but the Gnosis! *That's mine* ! " was even more heartbreaking from him.. He rightfully wanted to own that Gnosis, afterall he was made for this very reason(other than being the prototype)
Now I'm ready to beat up Dottore just to give that Gnosis to him 🤣🤣

I've wondered why the child is lying in a bed of Sakura flowers since seeing the cutscene. At first I thought maybe Scaramouche had tried to perform some kind of cleansing ritual to get rid of the child's sickness and it didn't work. He couldn't understand sickness, so how would he know how to cleanse it? But now I wonder if it's to do with Yae. Scaramouche went to Yae to plead for help but apparently no help came. But what if she did try to help? Perhaps while Scaramouche wasn't around, and she wasn't able to fix it either so the child died and those petals are a remnant of something she tried to do.
It is interesting that during the Katsuragi scenes, Kunikuzushi's heart and hand are full of Anemo colored "flames".

I absolutely love this as it is so similar to many of us humans out there. Everything we perceive is subjective, even how we view others relationships with us and how they treat us. When suffering from mental health conditions our very perception of others social interaction can be altered in a similar way where we believe the world is against us when it might not just be but we are unable to see that. It truly is a beautiful scene depicting Scaramouche’s story from his point of view.
Regarding the gold ornament, there is the interesting tidbit that he went to the Great Narukami Shrine to seek help for the people suffering from the Tataragami, which was granted (presumably by Yae Miko or with her consent), but that never came. Also the fact that Yae Miko wanted him destroyed in the first place.
Ah, just before the 3.2 update, this will help me clearly understand the final archon quest; I didn't know his cutscene had this much lore, such minor details as the feather, appreciate you so much cat
I also noticed in the drip marketing art on insta hyv put a long caption abt some of his backstory. Part of it in the end said "how can one be a human being without a heart? One without a heart is hardly human" maybe thats also a reason why scara wanted a heart/gnosis, its to be human
THIS IS WHY COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT. Genshin is trying to convey a very powerful message by the use of Ei and Scara

I made a fanart a while ago, before the 3.2 trailer came out, representing Scaramouche and Ei in a possible encounter between the two, where Scaramouche was crying and Ei had a feeling of pity for him. A lot of people commented on my post saying that Ei wouldn't react like that, or even show any kind of feelings for him, just contempt. I completely disagree, the main reason she didn't "discard" Scaramouche is exactly what you said in the video. I would be really happy if he really understood why Ei did what she did. And I hope they explore his story well when he releases as a playable character.

The psychology of a child being abandoned by their parents tends to be like that, i can somehow relate to Scaramouche. No one explain why we were being abandoned so we quickly make an assumption of our own stemming from our weakness.
Now that is scaramouche's insights when it comes to "betrayals".
Just noticed, his vision is from Sumeru and not Inazuma. Perhaps we will see in the archon quest how he got his vision, maybe after we defeat him.

mona could be from fontaine (mona is a french name) but she reactivated a mondstadt-style vision that was given to her
Its just because the vision itself is just a weird circle orb thing, the casing is most likely sold and or given out and it's design would obviously be based on which region you're in

Kitsunes themselves are morally questionable so it's not suprising to see miko act that way. In Artifacts it says he met with her before to ask help for the people of tatarasuna but she never arrived, i hope they expand on that part of the story for Yae and Scara
@@anezuka2464 Yes and this is also the reason, whether it was intentional from Yae herself, someone sabotage the help, or Inazuma facing too many problems to handle atm, it didn't change a fact that this negligence, made the catastroph more severe than it should be
But again, I thought Yae's contract as a familiar was different from Saigu when it comes for Inazuma. Saigu died protecting Inazuma. While I doubt Yae would the same if she was in her shoes because I think Yae's familiar contract with Archon Electro was not to protect Inazuma, but to serve Ei.
I know you shorten kunikuzushi as kuni, but kuni actually means nation or country, while kuzushi probably means destroy. 🤣🤣
ngl i want Scamdushe nd Ei have a face off in either Scamdushe's story quest or either some event quest so they come to an understanding with each other :)
Dont be an event quest, cause event quests will be removed
But maybe if they make the event quest like the chasm event, as they made it an archon quest

I really love that this is not the usual "immortal man falling in love with a woman and destroying everything after she eventually dies, leaving him alone" trope we can see in books/series/movies ! I hope we can understand more of his story, and that the Traveler can help him figure things out as well in the upcoming updates

They way scara says " my mother" breaks my heart you can hear his voice break slightly
he was never able to cast away his human like emotions… he desires commection… he is filled with sadness due to thoughts of being abandoned.
My theory is that Scara's emotions are a byproduct of several factors.
First is that Ei really was experimenting on creating a puppet, and naturally wondered how close to sentience such a puppet would be. Or rather, since it was an experiment creating a new being that would walk and talk in Ei's place, she would naturally want it to be close to human/god, since it would be walking and talking in her place.
I also think that his emotions became completely his own when Ei gave him the power to control his destiny, since he was just meant to be a puppet serving Ei.
Lastly, the Fatui's influence on him. His violence may have started when Nagamasa fought him due to his inhuman nature, but he still found the capacity to play with and love a child. My guess is that the Fatui found him "Wandering" (hehe), and in his confusion about why those three "betrayals" happened, told them his story, and they managed to twist it, thus giving him the cruelty he's known for, and why he'd bother sticking around with the Fatui anyways.
If there's anything I missed, or is probably wrong, I welcome any replies
With the drip marketing yesterday, on his redesign, we can see the same golden ornament, maybe a representation of "being in peace with past"? 🤔
While its possible that Katsuragi found him first, its actually possible that Scaramouche had an adoptive mother before this as the "mute" is also likely Scaramouche due to some lore mentioned by the husk and such.

I believe the exact reason for Katsuragi's "betrayal" was because Scaramouche had the feather of the Shogun. This feather will then be the reason as to why Katsuragi is executed as it meant that Scaramouche might have been a spy from the Shogun.
Well the people of Tatarasuna were bladesmithes who worked for the shorgunate they served the Shogun so no that wasn't the reason do you know about the Oni who was in Ei's trailer? Her name was Mikoshi Chiyo and she adopted the Inspector Nagamasa when he was a child (Nagamasa was the one who killed Katsuragi) sadly Chiyo was corrupted by the Abyss and made to a mindless beast and fought against Ei and lost the Mikoshi family was then branded traitors by the others and their reputation was destroyed Nagamasa wanted to clean his families name and became obsessed with purity and loyalty finding out that Katsuragi lied to him would have been damaging his reputation again also he saw it as betrayal and killed Katsuragi in his rage with the blade they made together the Daitara Nagamasa who was then re-named Katsuragikiri Nagamasa to honor the fallen Katsuragi who just wanted to protect his friend

If emotions are necesary for the gnosis, then it makes sense that the archon of the most powerfull emotion (Tsaritza) is the one who's trying to have them all at the same time.
Hoping 3.3 gives us an archon interlude chapter where we see how we got from Scaramouche to Wanderer and then maybe a story quest as a follow up

As a person with BPD, Scaramouche heavily speaks to me, and I feel he himself also has BPD, with him seeing those 3 times as a betrayal, and now cutting everyone off and being so cruel and seemingly pushing everyone away. It also can explain how he clung to the Gnosis and didn't want to let go of it, claiming it was his and that he would basically be nothing without it. It made him feel something.
I'm so looking forward to his quest story and character development. Let's see how new people around him (surely our boy Kazuha) will help him unveil the ugly lie from the fatui, break this negative image he has about himself and embrace his beautiful yet fragile human heart

In the festival of Inazuma, it was proven Kazuha's great grandfather was friend with Scaramouche.
Even tho I know Ei didn’t have a bad intentions towards scara I think she still responsible about his situation and owe him an apology. Allowing him to live freely is good but you dont just tell a child to do what he wants but never watch for him and his actions or needs. He needed someone to watch over him, teach him how life works n what is right what is wrong at that point, his teaser shows he still does.

I have something completely unrelated I found out, but I just noticed something peculiar in the akademiya. When you enter through the front door there's a huge fountain, and at the base of it is the inscription "nihil sub sole novum", which is phrase from the Bible
The weird thing is that the inscription isnt in the teyvat alphabet, but the "abyssal one"

Obviously, it won't go as smoothly, and there will almost certainly be conflicts before they actually talk it out. But in the end, all I want is for them to reconcile and restore their normal relationship as the mother and son they should be:(

For someone who has finished the 3.2 Archon Quests. I could say this theory and details about Scaramouche was indeed correct. And definitely most of them. Watching this make it much more sense the whole thing about Scaramouche. Now I can't wait for 3.3 for Scaramouche's resolution.

the raiden and scara part wasn’t actually raiden didn’t want him, she does care for him. not storing the gnosis in him so he wouldn’t achieve more suffering, not wanting to destroy however so modified him to take care of himself while still protecting him
