She has to sell it now, she’s getting on in years, you never know what may happen to her, she’s doing the right thing, she loved & honored Freddie when he was alive and even after his passing, she’s been in that house forever, maybe too long, maybe not, I don’t know, I’m not in her shoes, I’m not going to judge her, she’s had her share of suffering , as long as she’s happy now. This is an add on :::Just my thoughts: I think the boys, Brian, Roger and John, should have bought it, made it a museum, for people to come see and feel him, then they could have put the statue of Freddie, the one-that’s in Roger’s garden, into Freddie’s garden at Garden Lodge, they could have had Queen songs playing softly and not too loud in the background with video constantly playing, then open it to the public-for all to enjoy, a beautiful museum remembering a Legend and the whole bands music, they could have charged a small admission fee, hire a couple of people to keep up on it, just my thoughts, but, I think it’s too late, everything was auctioned off, I hear the place is empty…too bad
This film is like much that is said or written about Freddie. Only partly true. First, it is a miss-mash of photos of Freddie’s Garden Lodge, and the one before he bought it. The one completely gaudy room was not Freddie’s for instance, as was a dining room and a stairway scene. Too bad you didn’t think to present it as it was when it was Freddie’s and then Mary’s.
Why are they not showing the house at it is now for sale without furniture and everything most likely an outdated kitchen and bathrooms nothing of the original flair anymore

AFAIK, it's completely empty now; all Freddie's possessions were sold at auction last year, except for a very few small personal items Mary kept that meant something special to her and Freddie - can't remember what they were now.. It will never be the way it was, when filled with Freddie, his friends and his cats. But that's the way with houses, life moves on through them, through successive generations of owners. You can't freeze a home in time. Freddie wanted new people to live there, and enjoy it, families to be raised there in the future. But I'm a hypocrite, really, because I too wish it had been kept, along with selected items of Freddie's, to form a professionally curated permanent museum which would have been THE place and point of connection for people from all around the world who loved him to come and pay their respects, and see a room or two as they would have been, perhaps, along with some of his iconic outfits, and treasured objects like his piano, etc... There would still have been millions of pounds raised from the rest of the contents sale, for Mary and her family to live on. Instead, the chances are some wealthy Saudi prince or Russian oligarch will buy it and it'll stand empty and unused except for an occasional visit, if that even, as some sort of money laundering or investment thing. That seems to be the way it goes for all the most expensive and desirable London properties these days. Or so I've heard...

Затем , мэри посчитав что ей 5 кошек многовато , решает отдать через приют сразу 2 кошки. Таким образом она быстренько раскидалась с кошками Фредди. Был бы Фредди живой , я на нее посмотрела бы ,,, как она сдает его кошек в приют😱 .. Как только Фредди умер она выставила всех кто жил Гарден Лодже , поставила везде видеокамеры , поменяла дверь , и заехала жить в дом Фредди с мужем и ребенком , хотя у нее была недалеко большая квартира подаренная ей Фредди. И сложно представить какие огромные суммы она получила в наследство от. Фредди , если Джим и его помощники получили на момент 91 года по 500 тыс.фунтов стерлингов и это не облагаемых налогами !! . это со слов Джима. Сумма огромная . а она получила в несколько раз больше.

Nechápem, legenda takejto veľkosti by mala mať vlastné múzeum na pripomienku ďalším generáciám. To si Freddie za to všetko, čo urobil pre svojich najbližších a pre všetkých, ktorí majú uši a vnímajú výnimočnosť jeho talentu nezaslúži, aby sa s jeho pamiatkou narábalo citlivejšie? Všetko, čo mal im zanechal, všetko rozdelil a nebolo toho málo. Ale na Slovensku máme jedno príslovie "Veľká kopa pýta viac....." Je to smutné a na zamyslenie. Mary is 72-73 years old now. If she waits until she dies, won’t the govt. take a huge amount of inheritance tax? She is looking out for her family’s future by selling now. She’s already lived there at least twice as long as Freddie did. I would think it would be terribly sad to live among his belongings 30 years after he had passed. She has more than honored any promises made to him.

Freddie loved his beloved Garden Lodge. He decorated it so meticulously to bring out the beauty it has. Based on many of these pictures, he did just that. He wanted to take hist breath in the home that became his sanctuary in his last days and told Mary she wanted her to live there and raise a family as he visioned the house to be filled with love and laughter. She honored his wishes and now that her family is grown and living on their own, perhaps with their own families, it’s time to pass on the home to someone new, perhaps with a family of their own who can love and cherish the home as Freddie and Mary both did.

Imagine what it must have cost to run this place in utilities and taxes all these decades. Surprised she didn't sell it sooner. I thought this was all sold off decades ago after Freddies passing. Not that it had been lingering there for 30+ years.... God. Get rid of it and move on.
Уже прошло более 33 лет со смерти Фреди. Это большой срок. Поверьте он давно ушёл с её души, не потому что она плохая, это происходит естественным образом. Какая то грусть что вещи и остальное, и в итоге сам дом продаются, хотя при этом не считаю что она делает что то не так. Вместе с ней уйдёт история этого дома. Грустно... 😢😢😢
i really absolutely adore your comments and thoughts here everyone..yes it’s going to be sad when freddie’s home is eventually sold, and this will be a massive chapter closed, especially for mary. So i guess how i look at this is as we see from this video..and various home movie footage that was filmed by some of freddie’s closet friends..we can all go back and see his home back in the good olds days when fred and everyone were there. it’s all still so so sad that our freddie is not with us, and not with his lovely home…but we have many wonderful memories 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Полностью с вами согласна , я тоже считаю что она вероломно разорила все что Фредди собирал с такой любовью по всему миру , все эти тарелки , диваны , картины всё это сам лично Фредди выбирал и привозил . у нее вообще стыда нету , она продаёт даже его футболки, кроссовки .. Это что за такая у нее память и любовь то ? Ужас , позорище .. Стыда у нее нету. Вы наверное знаете как Фреди любил своих кошек , он в них души не чаял , днем они ходили по дому и саду, а вечером помощник собирал их всех домой . так вот когда умер Фредди осиротели сразу 6 кошек . кота Оскара Мэри стразу же потеряла , он от невнимания куда-то ушел и больше не вернулся , наверное с голоду в поиске еды перелез высокий забор . если бы в доме было чуть заботы кот конечно никуда бы навсегда не ушел бы. Затем , мэри посчитав что ей 5 кошек многовато , решает отдать через приют сразу 2 кошки. Таким образом она быстренько раскидалась с кошками Фредди. Был бы Фредди живой , я на нее посмотрела бы ,,, как она сдает его кошек в приют😱 .. Как только Фредди умер она выставила всех кто жил Гарден Лодже , поставила везде видеокамеры , поменяла дверь , и заехала жить в дом Фредди с мужем и ребенком , хотя у нее была недалеко большая квартира подаренная ей Фредди. И сложно представить какие огромные суммы она получила в наследство от. Фредди , если Джим и его помощники получили на момент 91 года по 500 тыс.фунтов стерлингов и это не облагаемых налогами !! . это со слов Джима. Сумма огромная . а она получила в несколько раз больше.

They would never get permission for a museum from the authorities.Garden Lodge is in a very residential area with other people's homes very close to it. There is no place even to park in the area. So no it wouldn't happen I'm afraid.

Mary is 72-73 years old now. If she waits until she dies, won’t the govt. take a huge amount of inheritance tax? She is looking out for her family’s future by selling now. She’s already lived there at least twice as long as Freddie did. I would think it would be terribly sad to live among his belongings 30 years after he had passed. She has more than honored any promises made to him.
She lived there more like 6 times longer than Freddie. She has more than honored his wishes.

Freddie loved his beloved Garden Lodge. He decorated it so meticulously to bring out the beauty it has. Based on many of these pictures, he did just that. He wanted to take hist breath in the home that became his sanctuary in his last days and told Mary she wanted her to live there and raise a family as he visioned the house to be filled with love and laughter. She honored his wishes and now that her family is grown and living on their own, perhaps with their own families, it’s time to pass on the home to someone new, perhaps with a family of their own who can love and cherish the home as Freddie and Mary both did.

I can only hope that the guys from Queen will get together and buy the house for the FM museum, Mary was very disappointed.
Imagine what it must have cost to run this place in utilities and taxes all these decades. Surprised she didn't sell it sooner. I thought this was all sold off decades ago after Freddies passing. Not that it had been lingering there for 30+ years.... God. Get rid of it and move on.

Уже прошло более 33 лет со смерти Фреди. Это большой срок. Поверьте он давно ушёл с её души, не потому что она плохая, это происходит естественным образом. Какая то грусть что вещи и остальное, и в итоге сам дом продаются, хотя при этом не считаю что она делает что то не так. Вместе с ней уйдёт история этого дома. Грустно... 😢😢😢
