I love the heart of what is said here but concerned about the fodder it can supply for the political left. We are certainly called to love as Jesus…everyone including our enemies and the lawless. Simultaneously we are obligated to the whole counsel of God and the wisdom provided in scripture as equal weight. The tone of this forum smacks a bit of soft Marxism which history has shown is a slippery slope into destruction. Spiritual maturity requires a discerning examination of how best to show the love of Christ in each circumstance and encounter with people. Identifying immediate needs but with the broad view of what is good, right and truly beneficial. Much harm can be by done by well meaning, yet short sighted individuals who act upon emotional desires for what they feel is good as opposed to that which is truly good and can seem hard. This short sighted emotionalism is often actually self-indulgent and works for evil in the longer scope. I would like to see a more balanced presentation here.

What was the point being made???? It is a lot of intellectual babble saying nothing. Christianity needs to get in a language that the average neighbour, outside of academia, can relate to!!!! Very disappointing lecture. What was the "immaturity" your titled suggested.
