Just a word of *CAUTION* to anyone using the included Kernel Installer Tool. The tool will *DELETE* without any warning, any LBOOT.EPB on the root of the USB storage device. So if say for example; You use your personal USB drive to mod another Playstation Classic console, maybe a friends so they can use OTG, and you use the included tool to create a backup of that system it will *OVERWRITE* any existing backups with no warning or prompt as shown in the AutoBleem 1.0.0 logs (Exec:rm -rf /media/LBOOT.EPB). Just make sure to move or rename your backup before starting. I suggest using the serial number of the Playstation Classic as part of the name to avoid mixing them up.

Autobleem merely flashes upgrades to Sony's firmware to allow OTG/Wifi/Bluetooth. Also, once the kernel is flashed, an OTG cable is an absolute non-negotiable requirement, not an option. To anyone having trouble with the multi disk games you cannot use anything like .chd or .pbp for multi disk games. You can only use straight up .bin and .cue files. Like mentioned in this video, you just drop the bin and cue files for all the disks of the game straight into the "games" folder. Don't sort them in their own folders or zip them. If done right and all bin and cue files are included it should work just fine. I just got resident evil 2 working no problem following this awesome tutorial. I am new to psx mini and autobleem. Thank you for this video it was very helpful! I hope my comment helps somone out there who may still be having issues.
If you don't mind me asking, are .chd files going to work properly in the "games" folder if they aren't a multi disk game? Also, when you say don't sort them in folders, it sounds like you are saying unlike normal games where each game has a folder with its bin/cue, ini, png files etc, these ones you just drop all the files, outside a folder? Or do you mean put all of the files in the 1 folder under the game name instead of separating them? Because all the games have the same "Game.ini" name for the file, so if dropped right into the "games" folder, you can only do 1 multi disk game
I followed all of the steps but when I get to your step on flashing the kernel I get a message that reads “This PSC has not been restored to original condition. Do you have any video on Project Eris/Retroarch ? My console has that and games work fine, for the most part but i really wanna learn more about this mod. Buncha complex things that i dont understand :P
Hi there @Restalgia, I am so glad you mentioned the hiatus Project Eris is on. I have a full setup with almost 200GB of games on a USB Drive all under Project Eris. Can you make a guide or point me to a guide on how to uninstall that and install AutoBleem?
try a smaller USB drive in the front if you got it. Bigger USB's require more power and those front USB's simply don't provide very much unless you do the soldering hack for more power. Also, the PSC was designed with USB2.0 in mind so those tend to work better. If another USB works, install the OTG hack, get a better USB wall plug with at least 2.0 amps and run it that way with the 128gb OR you can try a powered USB hub on the front to supply the power needed for the USB drive to function.
Hey bud great video as always. Is updating a old version of autobleem as simple as dragging the new files into the old ones? I have an updated my version and quite a while So I wanted to make sure before I attempt Thanks so much!
everything worked except when I go into the autobleem screen and push select to go to the flash kernel app it doesn’t switch to apps it just stays the same. also when I go to setting it brings up the original ps classic settings instead of autobleem settings. all my games show up but those things wont show
I bought a usb stick off of Etsy with PlayStation one games since I couldn’t figure out how to do it and couple months later bought another one with different games than the first one. My question is this can you plug multiple usb sticks to the otg cable(if they have a 3 port slot available) and still play off of both usb drive?
Is your Uninstall Autobleem video still up to date? I want to know I'm able to fully reset my Classic back to how it was out of the box before I start modding.
@@Restalgia Ok, thanks. As far as save files go, reverting to the vanilla kernel will make all of the preinstalled games' save data go back to when I made the backup right? Like if I start playing FF7 after downloading Autobleem, then I revert to the vanilla kernel, my progress for FF7 will be lost, correct?
@@Restalgia I'm having an issue with the custom kernel. After installing it, my PlayStation Classic does not properly shut down. The screen goes black when I press the power button or L2R2 in AutoBleem, but the light on the Classic stays green, never switching to orange. The only way to fully power down the system or restart it is by pulling the power cord. When I take out the USB to run using the "vanilla" boot, everything loads but powering down the system does not work again. The light will switch to orange for a split second but go back to green and restart immediately. Did I do something wrong, or is there a fix for this? In your video you mention that you don't recommend putting the USB in the front, is this why?
When you flash the ps1 and are able to use a bigger drive via otg do you just transfer everything from the smaller usb to the other one or how does that work?
Correct, you can use any size drive after. Some people are using 1tb hard drives. As long as its connected to OTG, you are okay from a power requirement perspective
Hi, I have watched your video about 15 times now. This is the best video to Jailbreak the PlayStation Classic so far. I've bought a PS Classic yesterday and I'm having issues with USB Flash Drives since mine are not compatible. So, I ordered the AuviPal 3-Port Micro USB OTG Hub Adapter from Amazon and I have a question though. Is it possible to Jailbreak the console directly using that USB HUB that works in the back of the console?
I got the 128gb sandisk cruzer that you linked to. I did as you said and it booted into the standard PS menu. I named the stick SONY, its FAT32 and the files are added. I have no idea what is wrong :-(
@@Restalgia Thank you for telling me that. This sure can be a minefield at times lol. I have low power USB 2.0 MicroSD card reader thing to test in a few days. I am in the UK and we are sinking fast, I am on a major budget and digging in with what I have to weather this storm!
Can u show us how to add 2 disc games in to a game folder? You mentioned that we have to make sure cue file need to be properly formated . How to do that?
No mention of the .m3u file that has to be created to run multi disk PS! roms. Also, no mention of the Bios files also needed to run PS1 roms? Or have they changed things in Autobleem 1.0?
One last question after the initial flash on front usb….if I use OTG back USB port can I use a usb powered HD or does it need to be a powered drive… also does that drive need to be fat32 as well or will exfat work
Once the custom kernel is in, you can absolutely use exFAT for a drive. I am personally using a 120gb SSD plugged into the otg adaptor with no need for additional external power.
Back again … If I use an external HD do I need to copy all the files from the usb drive I created to the external drive ? Just grabbed a new ps mini just needed a refresher
Couple questions. Where did you go to get the extra game/games you added yourself like Ace Combat? Did you download it somewhere else and put it on the memory or is it part of the mod file? And lastly, once the mod is loaded from the USB stick? Can I reboot the PS Classic with the new games without the USB so that I can play with 2 controllers?
He's legally not going to be able to tell you where to get the games, but it shouldn't be difficult with a Google search. If you follow the instructions he gives, it sets up the back USB port so that you can put in an OTG (which is like a Y splitter that will let you plug in both the power USB cord and the USB drive), doing that, both front USB ports will be open for controllers. If you need a suggestion on which OTG to buy, he put the link to the one he has in the description.
I'm using the exact usb and otg adapter you recommended in the description and after flashing the kernel and connecting the usb drive to the back via otg the playstation doesn't read anything and boots as if no drives are inserted.
After reading further comments I realized the amazon link for the otg adapter takes you to the right place but the seller sends you an off-brand knockoff of the otg adapter that does not work. You need to update this link. People are being scammed by a fraudulent amazon seller by following this one.
For updating 0.9 to 1.0, is it fine to just copy all the 1.0 files and replace all the existing 0.9 files on USB? And the Kernel was already installed by using 0.9. Is it no need to restore and re-install again? Thanks 🙏🏼
i did everything the only thing im trying to figure out is how to get out of a game and go to another (like on a snes mini) you hold select & the down aarow)
I'm having trouble it booting up. I did everything. My USB was a stock SanDisk 64gb Fat32 system. I transfered the files and when I turn on the ps classic it just boots up normal.
If i dont install the kernel thing my ps classic will be able to boot to the official firmware if i remove the usb right? That means that whenever i wanna play modded games then i can insert the usb whenever i want right?
Restalgia I'm out of options and need to ask for your help. Sorry man I appreciate the work thats went into all these videos you've made and I've watched so many of them to try and answer this without having to ask you but here goes. Currently on my PSC I have autobleem installed, I don't want it anymore, I want to install project eris. Problem is I have the kernel exploit I installed way back in the bleemsync days. What do I need to do to get project eris up and running on my PSC? Do I need to remove the kernel exploit or can I just remove autobleem and install project eris? Thanks man
Did you install the autobleem kernel? I assume not if you never removed the bleemsync kernel still on it. Best practice would be to uninstall the bleemsync kernel which I made a video about, and reinstall PE from scratch. You can just use the bleemsync kernel for proj3ct eris though, and it's as simple as creating a new usb drivem. I personally have a build for both and bounce between them
Hey Restalgia, love the videos! Any idea why some games launched from the Autobleem launcher(without RA) causing the D-Pad to be disabled on the stock PSC controller? I am able to launch the games with RA and they work...but annoying so far. Running 1.0/Kernel not flashed currently.
I bought a USB already set up just plug it in and play kinda thing one problem I kept having was gamebox USB was breaking never did think an OTG adapter or the 2.0 4 port USB plastic hub that they all come with rather do the OTG people say the small plastic hubs don't work
Im hitting a wall with this process. When i get to the point where i need to run the backup before we do the flashing, i run it, it does whatever it does and when the process is seemingly completed, the screen goes black and stays that way indefinitely. Any idea why this happens and how to fix it?
All of my rips from my cds are .bin and .cue. So for them, would u recommend just keeping them together in a folder named after the game and dropping that folder in the games folder? There wasn’t really that much detail on that. Will these games have the meta data like the other file you dropped into the game folder?
I followed your step by step instructions. But, when I came to backing up the kernel, my setup wont reach completion. When I try to flush, it would tell me, that "kernel backup not valid", something like that. Appreciate your help.
I really hope you see this. So I followed all the steps, and nothing happened. Autobleem isn't working at all. I even tried other versions, and still nothing. Anyway to fix this?
Your USB is likely drawing too much power. Get a powered USB hub from Amazon and do the process again. The powered USB hub will supply the USB with the required power, and it jist allow data transfer to the console which should work
@@Restalgia Well the thing is I use a normal sandisk usb stick. I have 2 of the exact same. I've used them to mod my system before. Same process and everything with no issues. I'll wait 10 mins and power cycle it because you mentioned it came up to a black screen and you had to do that. That part is critical to be done right so I don't brick this.

Does anyone know how to correctly add multi disc games? (FFIX for example)
Great video btw.
Do you have any video on Project Eris/Retroarch ?
My console has that and games work fine, for the most part but i really wanna learn more about this mod.
Buncha complex things that i dont understand :P
Great video
can I know which recorder app you used to record your pc screen ?
Great tutorial! I may have to grab one of these at some point.
Is there also a way to play with 2 controllers? Or do u need to keep the usb in the console?
looking for this solution as well lol
Hi there @Restalgia, I am so glad you mentioned the hiatus Project Eris is on. I have a full setup with almost 200GB of games on a USB Drive all under Project Eris. Can you make a guide or point me to a guide on how to uninstall that and install AutoBleem?
As stated in the video, there is a link in the description to do that.
Yep, I have a link in the description on how to uninstall the PE kernel. 😁
I'm using a SanDisk Cruz glider 128gb USB drive and it still can't read the PS1 classic, I did everything exactly and I just need help 😢
try a smaller USB drive in the front if you got it.
Dear sir, can you explain how to play Sega Saturn games?
not sure if i missed something, but it seems that even after flashing the kernel it boots normally unless the USB drive is plugged into slot 2
OTG adapter on links is not being sold anymore. Is there similar alternative (with similar desing) which works for sure?
hi, has anyone tried switching ps1 multi-disc games? did you manage to do this for the new games you downloaded?
I can't figure out how to add roms to RetroArch specifically psp or Dreamcast ones others work but don't get added to the system playlist
Hey bud great video as always. Is updating a old version of autobleem as simple as dragging the new files into the old ones? I have an updated my version and quite a while So I wanted to make sure before I attempt Thanks so much!
Yep, drag and drop new version onto your USB and when it prompts you, replace all existing files
@@Restalgia thanks bro will do keep up the great work appreciate you ❤️
everything worked except when I go into the autobleem screen and push select to go to the flash kernel app it doesn’t switch to apps it just stays the same. also when I go to setting it brings up the original ps classic settings instead of autobleem settings. all my games show up but those things wont show
I bought a usb stick off of Etsy with PlayStation one games since I couldn’t figure out how to do it and couple months later bought another one with different games than the first one. My question is this can you plug multiple usb sticks to the otg cable(if they have a 3 port slot available) and still play off of both usb drive?
Is your Uninstall Autobleem video still up to date? I want to know I'm able to fully reset my Classic back to how it was out of the box before I start modding.
Yep still good
@@Restalgia Ok, thanks. As far as save files go, reverting to the vanilla kernel will make all of the preinstalled games' save data go back to when I made the backup right? Like if I start playing FF7 after downloading Autobleem, then I revert to the vanilla kernel, my progress for FF7 will be lost, correct?
@@TLBidoof correct
@@Restalgia I'm having an issue with the custom kernel. After installing it, my PlayStation Classic does not properly shut down. The screen goes black when I press the power button or L2R2 in AutoBleem, but the light on the Classic stays green, never switching to orange. The only way to fully power down the system or restart it is by pulling the power cord. When I take out the USB to run using the "vanilla" boot, everything loads but powering down the system does not work again. The light will switch to orange for a split second but go back to green and restart immediately. Did I do something wrong, or is there a fix for this? In your video you mention that you don't recommend putting the USB in the front, is this why?
is there a site where i can download a zip folder of all the games?
When you flash the ps1 and are able to use a bigger drive via otg do you just transfer everything from the smaller usb to the other one or how does that work?
Correct, you can use any size drive after. Some people are using 1tb hard drives. As long as its connected to OTG, you are okay from a power requirement perspective
when i download it the carpet of games is empty, there is no games in it, why? i do all the steps but there is no game on that carpet
Hello, how can i make the game F1 2000 works on autobleem? The game just freeze after the "EA Sports" intro😢
This was a great tutorial! Thank you.
Awesome that there is still a modding scene for this. I think I will move away from Project Eris since Autombleem is still supporten.
I believe somewhere else they said it was not.
I got the 128gb sandisk cruzer that you linked to. I did as you said and it booted into the standard PS menu. I named the stick SONY, its FAT32 and the files are added. I have no idea what is wrong :-(
It's possible they changed the chips in newer batches. Easiest solution is grab a cheap powered USB hub
You mentioned that we have to make sure cue file need to be properly formated
. How to do that?
Great video! Do we still need to flash the kernel if we're upgrading from 0.9?
No mention of the .m3u file that has to be created to run multi disk PS! roms. Also, no mention of the Bios files also needed to run PS1 roms? Or have they changed things in Autobleem 1.0?
Thank you for making this!
Can somebody recommend the best place to grab Roms? Ty !
When I download it, it didn't come with the any of the Retroarch cores, and it doesn't come with the cornel to over ride the system.
@@Restalgia thanks bud
When i try run the kernel i get the message " This PSC has not been restored to original condition. Unable to flash.
What am i doing wrong?
I'm using the exact usb and otg adapter you recommended in the description and after flashing the kernel and connecting the usb drive to the back via otg the playstation doesn't read anything and boots as if no drives are inserted.
After reading further comments I realized the amazon link for the otg adapter takes you to the right place but the seller sends you an off-brand knockoff of the otg adapter that does not work. You need to update this link. People are being scammed by a fraudulent amazon seller by following this one.
Do you also need to take the power plug out when u want to shut it off?
For updating 0.9 to 1.0, is it fine to just copy all the 1.0 files and replace all the existing 0.9 files on USB?
And the Kernel was already installed by using 0.9. Is it no need to restore and re-install again?
Thanks 🙏🏼
Just simply replace all the old autobleem files just like before if you've installed the custom kernel
@@restautama Thanks a lot, mate.
i did everything the only thing im trying to figure out is how to get out of a game and go to another (like on a snes mini) you hold select & the down aarow)
I'm having trouble it booting up. I did everything. My USB was a stock SanDisk 64gb Fat32 system. I transfered the files and when I turn on the ps classic it just boots up normal.
Unplug it and make sure the USB is plugged in before you plug in the power cord. On a side note, the thumb drive might not be compatible.
If i dont install the kernel thing my ps classic will be able to boot to the official firmware if i remove the usb right?
That means that whenever i wanna play modded games then i can insert the usb whenever i want right?
probably a late question, but couldnt you also use a sandisk cruzer 16 gb flash drive?
cruzer blade 16gb to be specific
Really useful tutorial thank you the only issue I had was some of the games metha data didn't load correctly there is no game image in the menu
After i added some games to retroarch rom folder, autobleem stopped being able to verify the psx games, how do i fix this?
Out of curiosity, do you know how we can change the names of our games?
What is the best website to download game roms for the PS Classic to add to my USB?
I tried using a older version of autobleem that i knew worked before, but still nothing. I'm using the new sandisk usb stick I bough recently. Should I try using my older one that I used in the past that worked?
You were not clear what happens after you start to flash the kernel and how long that should take. I have a flashing green light on the front. I'll wait 10 mins and power cycle it because you mentioned it came up to a black screen and you had to do that. That part is critical to be done right so I don't brick this.
Do I then have to copy the data from the stick to the hard drive with Auto Bleem and then connect the hard drive to the OTG?
If I want to change to a bigger usb, the new one also has to be in fat 32? shoul I only copy the files to the new one or do the whole process again?
Thanks for this great video.
Think I'll swap from Eris to autobleem. What power outputs for adapters are recommended? 5v 2a?
No less than a 2A.
Just a quick question, is it okay to install AutoBleem & add the games on the USB by using my Mac since I don't have Windows????
Hello there I made flash kernel and my ps1 blacked out, so i made what u say take the power cable and put it again but do i need to repeat flash kernel again?
is there a way you can use the PlayStation classic without the usb drive and still have the application still on the playstation classic?
Can we override the scraped art work? Like if we include our own in the games folder?
When I downloaded Autobleem 1.0.0 zip and extracted the zipped files, there was no roms or themes folders. Did I do something wrong?
Hi great video. I’ve downloaded games and copied onto usb drive but when I turn back on console onto autobleam no new games will scan or when I press X to re scan. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
Does the nes and the n64 need bios or other files to work or they just come with the mod fully playable
Nes and n64 don't require bios files, games will launch as long as you put the games in the correct folders as shown in the video. Full disclose n64 does not run super great, so don't expect a stellar experience. Nes, snes, sega, gameboy, game gear, arcade games etc all run very well
@@RestalgiaHi, can you list out the consoles that are playing smoothly on this? I’ve got GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, GENESIS, master system, gamegear,
BUT I think DS, Saturn, Dreamcast and 3DO will not work. Should I give up trying, or am I just doing something wrong for those consoles?
I added roms into the correct folders, when I scan on the ps mini it shows 0 games. any help?
