Hahaha, gotta say watching you not being fully convinced by La La La La only to lose your shit over the rock version was extremely amusing 😂 in the best sense
The bit about quality music and no skips is so real !!! Even when they do genres that are not someone’s preference, they still deliver such an amazingly composed song.
I knew you would love la4 rock version. I remember the first time I listened to it i was just shocked. A lot of groups do remixes and 9.5 times out of 10 they’re uncreative and don’t add anything, so I don’t even bother listening to them. When stray kids do an alternate version, they do it for a reason. I was so damn happy they put a real rock song in the rock star album. These kids are crazy. This has to be one of my favourite albums
I have been waiting almost a year for someone with a musical ear like yours to truly appreciate LALALALA Rock Version like this!!! The Metallica mention made my heart sing 😅
As someone who has been a rock and metal fan my whole life, i gotta say i truly love these reactions and how you talk about music. Even the songs that aren't your cup of tea you seem to appreciate the production of, and that means a lot to us Stays. I hope you keep enjoying the music, Tony! I also recommend that if you get the chance, go see them live. They're touring with a live band at the moment, and it rules! I've been listening to Rock and Metal almost all my life, but when I heard Thunderous by Stray Kids they caught me and they're the only Kpop group that has managed to meet my expectations... They're Great! (Te amo Bang Chan ♥️)
That reaction was pretty f*cking awesome. I feel like I'm listening to the songs the very first time vicariously through you. That Journey reference was so real. I had never thought of that. And I can't imagine how many times you will listen to La x 4 Rock version.

The expression on your face when the rock version of LA4 started playing is absolutely priceless 😂😂 As for instruments, yes, they do record actual physical instruments. For LALALALA, instruments were recorded by Versachoi (in-house producer who very frequently works with them), Bang Chan and Cubeatz, who are a duo of songwriters and musicians who both release their own music and work as songwriters and composers for other artists. Specifically for the Rock version, there's additional credit for guitar to Nickko Young and for bass to Lee Jeamyong
I am one of the people whose favorite song of the album is Cover me but it’s actually tied with Megaverse which probably makes me weird/insane… whatever 😂 I’m an adult… I do me 😜 “Don’t stop believin’”
i was doing the dishes during the last half of it and it was so funny because every time i looked away from the dishes and looked at the screen Tony was having a different reaction to the Rock Version, gradually going from 😯 to 😱 and 😵 and i had to stop doing the dishes to rewatch it from the beginning hahaha as a rock and metal fan, Rock-Star is definitely one of my favorite albums (even if Cover Me is in my top 3)
Songs Tony definitely can't miss out on: 1. God's Menu 2. Side Effects ‼️THIS IS A MUST PLSSSS ‼️ 3. District 9 4. Miroh 5. Victory Song 6. WHY? 7. Heyday 8. Hellevator 9. BEWARE 10. YAYAYA 11. Wake up, honey, new Tony Stocco reaction dropped! I've been looking forward to your Megaverse reaction! The opening kills me - it ramps up both in vocal tempo and in pitch. It's a deliberate tension builder and it makes my brain happy. And the ending, I love your analogy: Bang Chan just smashed both hands on the laptop and let the pots and pans fall where they may. And the Steve Perry comparison! YES!! One last edit: I _think_ (don't quote me) that the guitar on the rock version of LaLaLaLa is Nickko Young.
I grew up singing/doing musical theatre, so I’m very vocal driven and tend to notice the voices (and lyrics) first. I love your reactions, because they help me appreciate the instrumentals and notice things I hadn’t before. It’s like I’m listening to SKZ for the first time again! 😄😄
Social Path is basically Chan's story. He left his home & family in Australia at age 13 & was a trainee for SEVEN years!!! Gave up his childhood to follow his dreams! 😭
Blindspot is kinda one for their staff and crew that work with them. Essentially it's for those people the background working just as hard to help them be successful. It's the boy's acknowledging their support team's hard work and although they are not in the spotlight as they grow bigger, the kids will always see their dedication in their blindspot as they drive forward. That they should be proud of their work, that they do deserve the ovation and that they should feel like champions too :) Kinda doubles as the fan's support or for young future idols or anyone who are working hard but their efforts are unseen. Meaning wise, love the song personally cos I'm part of a film crew, and my work is legit just a stepping stone, unseen by many but just as important, and when the films do well, I'm glad and proud to play a part of in it..
For Blind Spot, i think rather than being a song for the fans it's a song for the idols. Han said when he went home after writing that song he cried, and around that time an idol was found d3@d the possible reason being su1c!d3 not bearing the idol life. It's my personal comment on the song but i think it's really about the dark sides of being an idol, having to look perfect and taking criticism for literally anything they do. One attempt and all their work, efforts would be gone. But despite the hardships, Stray Kids had came a long way. I am proud of them. The song makes me emotional even, it would be affecting them more
hey! you do audio only reactions and not even lyric videos... If you knew all their names by now I would be SHOCKED! But when you DO start to tell who's who more, you will be better than a lot of fans who still need to see them to know. :D You're doing great Tony! We appreciate youuu!! EDIT: When you said that little bit about the guitar in Social Path I laughed knowing the immediate next song was about to blow your mind. I LOOOOOOOVE the rock version of Lalalala!! I also really love Phonk, so can't say it's BETTER than the original, but omg I listen to rock version soooo much.
At the recent festivals they’ve played at, like Lollapalooza Chicago, they had the live band for every song and it was basically rock versions of all the bangers. 🫠 As a metal head I was in heaven hearing it. I was especially happy seeing the guys head bang during Domino. They should release the band arrangements on an album!
These videos of you listening to skz are my comfort videos. Nothing better than this after a grueling day of work- good music, detailed comentary and just best vibes.
I almost teared up watching you react to the rock version of La La La La. Okay, now that you listened to both Megaverse and Cover Me, please, this is my 3rd request to watch the recording session of Megaverse / Cover Me, then watch the mv of Megaverse and the Lyric Video of Cover Me. It is about 40 minutes long. See how they interact, how detailed they are and on a personal level, give another chance to Cover Me, Changbin (who didn’t make this song) calls it a masterpiece and I agree, and I love rock as much as you do, but this song is very special. Thank you Tony, your reactions mean a lot to us Stays.

tony: is gonna be slow
skz: *the most noisy song ever*
tony: no way this is gonna be slow
skz: *plays on a ballad*
PD: you would like my side from i am you album and battle ground from the sound album btw
You can’t assume anything from skz is gonna sound a certain way 😂😂😂
Became a stay due to the Felix effect stayed for Bang Chan and Changbin but you sir have given me a whole new appreciation for their music library.
Thank you!
For Lalala rock ver they are helped by a band. This version is made to be preformed at festivals and concerts so they worked with the band that goes on tour with them
The scream that I just scream’t!!!! 🤩 SO ready for this!!!
OMG!!! Just like half of us can’t pick a Stray Kid’s bias, half of us (at least) can’t pick a favorite song. It changes constantly. I’m only through Megaverse and am dying because the rest of this has to wait until later. Cannot wait!
I love how everytone he say "Oh fast" as a reaction it is Han rapping. Our Ace of Kpop.🤩
SPEECHLESS, WORDLESS - the only correct reaction to skz
Agreed❤lol
Okay we have Felix recognition! Yay!
dude la4 rock version was my ENTIRE PERSONALITY for months when Rock-star dropped like that is MY BOO. As a person whose top genres on spotify are alt metal and kpop this song is literally my everything and seeing u enjoy it made me so happy^^
Skz can indeed pull anthing off😂
Stray Kids wrote, acted and produced a short film called SKZFLIX that featured the songs Cover Me and Leave. It won the Global Spotlight Award at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2024 awards (a film festival officially recognised by the Academy Awards).
Oh I'm 50 and I get the Journey reference ❤ Lots of Gen Xers love Stray Kids because they feel so throwback at times.
I honestly always skip the rock version but literally your reaction and passion for it has made me rethink my choice. I'm bopping to it for now on!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Hell yeah! 🤘
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ROCKSTAR!!!
Hahaha, gotta say watching you not being fully convinced by La La La La only to lose your shit over the rock version was extremely amusing 😂 in the best sense
All of my week’s stress and depression was just cured by watching you watch the Rock version of Lalalala ❤️🔥🤘
The thumbnail looks sick!! Also, if LA4 Rock version got you then I can't wait for when you dive into Xdinary Heroes. A whole new world for you.
Thank you! I used Midjourney (AI) to create the thumbnail.
The bit about quality music and no skips is so real !!! Even when they do genres that are not someone’s preference, they still deliver such an amazingly composed song.
20:22 that's the guy with the laptop, our Bangchan ❤
I love that you learned Felix's name, but I love even more that you're having your own journey of loving their music, authentically.
Stray Kids discography has no skips and so do your videos. I was sat for the whole 55 mins. Sooo good ❤
I knew you would love la4 rock version.
Not my eye twitching when you paused in the middle of Christopher’s long note in cover me 😫 LOL as always you’re great! Thanks for reacting! 💕
Glad I saw this first so I can expect it 😂
33:30 leave is basically a kpop pop-ballad there are usually elements of country/folk in songs like this but mostly rnb and pop
I saw them a few months back and, as someone whos been to their fair share of metal gigs, it was incredible!
And I can't imagine how many times you will listen to La x 4 Rock version.
you're right about the thing about some of the songs not being your favorite genre but you really don't feel like skipping em bc of the quality of music!! really really well made music is hard to skip and plus the boys sound amazing 😼
Yes we're here 2am in the Philippines standard..
Hello friend in the Philippines!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to their billboard performance where they performed lalalala rock version and s-class! It's Beyond amazing! ❤️
STAYS LET'S GET HIM TO REACT TO THAT BILLBOARD PERFORMANCE! ❤️
Let’s fucking go!
They actually have a live band during their concerts, it's incredible. And skz always have so much respect for them too.
47:50 😂🤣😂🤣😈😈😈😈
Tony's face the whole time 😳😱🤯... buhahahhahahahhahahahahaaaaaaa!!!
KNEW that was gonna happen!
The shout-out to Journey made my lil 80s kid heart happy 😂❤ Love your vids dude.
Journey is awesome... great comparison.. 🖖🏼
The expression on your face when the rock version of LA4 started playing is absolutely priceless 😂😂
As for instruments, yes, they do record actual physical instruments.
You saying the first three songs were a lot to take in and then going, the next song is Comflex! made me laugh a little bit
I am one of the people whose favorite song of the album is Cover me but it’s actually tied with Megaverse which probably makes me weird/insane… whatever 😂 I’m an adult… I do me 😜
“Don’t stop believin’”
I have never and will never, stop believin
Absolutly not weird! I also like both songs very much 😊 (Aaaand "Don't stop believin" is my favorite Journey track 😂)
@@smeyer208 same ❤️😘
yesssss meee tooooooo😝
Megaverse and Cover Me are also my favorite songs off the album lol.
i was doing the dishes during the last half of it and it was so funny because every time i looked away from the dishes and looked at the screen Tony was having a different reaction to the Rock Version, gradually going from 😯 to 😱 and 😵 and i had to stop doing the dishes to rewatch it from the beginning hahaha
as a rock and metal fan, Rock-Star is definitely one of my favorite albums (even if Cover Me is in my top 3)
18:37 WE ALL CHEER 🎉🎉🎉
😂😂🎉🎉
I was so happy i screamed 😭🎉🎉
Lisa is really big in japan especially for anime soundtracks her voice is crazy good
Songs Tony definitely can't miss out on:
1. God's Menu
2. Side Effects ‼️THIS IS A MUST PLSSSS ‼️
3. District 9
4. Miroh
5. Victory Song
6. WHY?
7. Heyday
8. Hellevator
9. BEWARE
10. YAYAYA
11. Boxer
12. Battle Ground
13. ROCK
14. Awaken
15. ZONE
16. The Tortoise And The Hare (STAY YOU ALREADY KNOW)
As for which album to react to next: i 10000% vote for "SKZ2020" OR "IN LIFE"
oh my gosh all these songs are perfect for him !!!!
Right ?!?!? @@limitlessxx23
tony's reaction to lalalala rock ver. gotta be my favorite out of all his reactions so far 😆😆 also, i kinda want to watch you react to xdinary heroes!!
“Cover Me” is one of the few ballads that made it to my playlist. It’s such a beautiful song with an important message.
Thats felix and all stays scream bc he know one name 😂😂😂😂😂😂 i loved this comment. His Name is the easiest to know but i am proud of you bc you hear more of sounds than voices so i am proud of you 🎉❤
The only reaction channel I click on "Like" before the video begins. I wait for these! Love your reactions!
My metalhead heart exploded when I heard the rock version had same reaction as you did
I really hope you eventually go back and listen to their earlier work to see how they’ve changed and improved over the years.
YES!!
One last edit:
I _think_ (don't quote me) that the guitar on the rock version of LaLaLaLa is Nickko Young.
We bring lightsticks to the concerts each group has a different one!
That they should be proud of their work, that they do deserve the ovation and that they should feel like champions too :)
Kinda doubles as the fan's support or for young future idols or anyone who are working hard but their efforts are unseen.
You're doing great Tony!
LETS GOOOOO i love this album sm
AHHHHHHHH NEW ALBUM REACT!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!
31:41 ooooh, Journey... totes! It's the deliberate but soft power in the guitar and then those epic vocal notes. Very, very Steve Perry. ✨️
At the recent festivals they’ve played at, like Lollapalooza Chicago, they had the live band for every song and it was basically rock versions of all the bangers. 🫠 As a metal head I was in heaven hearing it. I was especially happy seeing the guys head bang during Domino. They should release the band arrangements on an album!
that is the exactly reaction to lalala rock version I was waiting for from you!
They performed the rock version of lalalala and sclass for billboards 2024. It's epic...
These videos of you listening to skz are my comfort videos. Nothing better than this after a grueling day of work- good music, detailed comentary and just best vibes.
Glad to hear that!
Thank you so much Tony. I actually never knew about the rock version of Lalalala. 🙈 I just found the perfect song for my husband. 🎸
I love to watch your reactions because you are very technical, and I NEED people like you to really appreciate their hard work so thank you for enjoying it with us🙏🏻
watching u smile and laugh at the beat drop in megaverse was so fun! i love when people have such visceral reactions
also i was surprised a Lot with this album. im a huge fan of the noisy skz songs and they're usually my favorites, but "leave" ended up being my fave from this one. imagine my shock LOL
ALSOOO i definitely rec listening to xdinary hereo's single "instead" if ur looking for a metalcore sound in kpop. they're in the same company as stray kids! it became an instant fave of mine.
