Congratulations, I love that Bote, wish it didn't cost a million dollars to ship one here to Hawai'i. I'm an old kama'aina who grew up here in Hawai'i and when I was a kid growing up in the mid 1960s every week end was spent at Kaneohe Bay on the windward side of O'ahu. I would see tako (octopus) divers arrive at He'eia Kea harbor with their outboard powered "Tako Boards" which they usually powered with tiny Neptune outboards or 3hp British Seagull outboards. Small Johnson and Evinrude motor for some reason were rarely seen. Anyways your Bote is just a modern version of the old Hawaiian Tako Boards from my childhood even down to the cut-out tail section for the motor. Nothing new under the sun though I must say the old Hawaiians from back then would love owning a Bote Fish Board.
You should replace that rigid holding handle with just a length of rope with a handle on the end. Much more compact and still keeps you stable while motoring around the place.
I got an inflatable for convenience, but it is a big boat afterall and I am getting a trailer for it. I have been watching the Bote and they appear to be very cool and just slightly bigger than a kayak and the motor. Windy, rough days that motor will be great. I am waiting for the load into the surf on a rough day and offshore fishing. Yep, I am waiting for those videos.
