So glad I followed this video set from start to finish! I enjoyed it, and learned quite a bit. Wonderful boat and the fact that you do not need much motor to get her up on a plain is wonderful. You look over the top excited about it brother, good for your! You put the work in and you got what you wanted for about a 10th the price. Way to go!
At about 14 min you showed some trailer damage in the front. Maybe something like a keel protector could prevent that. If you got a black one (and cut it to the size you needed) and ran it from left to right (on the lip of your boat), I think it would match your color scheme pretty well, and protect your pretty boat from that pesky trailer. ha ha
Cant wait to watch your adventures, so I can have proof to show my wife that I need to build a custom boat for myself. ha ha

love it, only thing i can see i would to different is add a piece of trim around the perimeter, to act as something to brace your foot against. similar to the raised edges seen on bass boats. should be fairly easy to add. Also if you build another, model it in cad then dxf files and assembly instruction manual.BUILD OUT OF 5056 OR 5052 ALUMINUM NOT PLYWOOD. I understand if you don't have the capabilities to weld a hull or model a hull in cad. If your able to build that boat in plywood, you should be mechanically inclined enough to be able to model and also get good at welding, if you give it time. I sucked when i first started.
awesome idea, love people who think outside the box when it comes to boats, z-bow, stepped hulls, sindle outboard cats(blackdog cat). KEEP UP THE GREAT IDEAS

Very different style boat. It's almost a pontoon, only faster haha!
I was looking at the same brand outboard as you for one of those half blow up surf n' rescue style aluminium floor, Zodiac boats. The one I was looking at was geared to take a 30hp motor. After talking to the guy for a bit at the shop, for one he said by the same outboard as what you have as the motor is a Mercury, just with different (ccv) stickers. And he said to me, buy the 30hp and the only difference between a 30hp and a 35hp motor was or is the carbi gascut. The hole is the 35hp just had a bigger hole in the gascut for the extra air intake. Otherwise, same motor, gears, everything. So he said he would do the gascut for the extra 5hp and if the cops looked at it, the whole engine had 30hp written all over it. Haha nice hey!
    Happy boating mate!

Went to Summer Nats in Australia last year, those good old boys know how to put on a show and do crazy Skids in their 1000 hp cars. Had the best time of my life! American parties got nothing on the good old Aussie boys when they throw a Shrimp On The Barbi it's on, lol!

If it was me I would put in a lean post or something either on the back or maybe slightly in front of where you stand. Watched all the build parts of this boat today was very interested in see the final product. Looks really good you did a fine job. And wow 50kph is moving. Yeah pretty sketchy if the are sandbars and stuff that could stop you abruptly. Maybe a harness system anchored to the stern would stop you from flying over the bow but it would need to be long enough to engage the deadman switch in the instance the driver was knocked unconscious during an accident.

Good day mate, my hats off ro you. for the last several weeks i have been seraching You Tube for a working boat, a working barge for maintaining a sixteen acre pond on my dairy ranch in Petaluma California,
i had hours and hours of looking for just the right design and size to meet my needs. From your very first video i realized that you had the answer and i thank you .
your vessal ( you really should name her ) came out great. i am sure you will have many days of enjoyment catching fish or not. i will keep an eye out to see those fishing adventures. yours truly Bob

Too many personal safety issues. You clearly are oblivious to safety....enjoy your life while you have it, try to grow old, don’t die young and ignorant.
