That’s awesome! I got into rope soloing last year and it’s really satisfying doing all the work yourself

Congrats Brent for the send & video
And thanks a lot for the post and this massive update !
Watching you climb and your "Clove dump" inspired me to try them and step up from trs to lrs (with a lov3) !
    Keep it up !

Sweet send - love all your videos! I personally watch these with the video upside down (specifically for the overhead shots) because it’s a more common angle for climbing films and my brain processes it better - just my 2 cents

Hell ya! Are you making it out there in the Prius?

Super RAD Brent!! I wonder, do you find when you fall that the entirety of the available cache loop slips through? That is, the entire cache loop slips, until it reaches the next clove / slipknot that's holding the next cache loop?

I have never had this happen. Check out the blog link - a GriGri+ in TR mode works super well to avoid this, even down to 8.6mm ropes.

Well done! Are you able to share the name of the crag by chance? (Phoenix based climber)

Brent, thanks for this - it looks very tech and thin.
I just took a peek at your blog post - I've been TR soloing a lot lately and have been thinking about learning to lead solo harder routes. Your tutorial looks like what I need to give it a try.
Just a comment on your vid. I found the music a little too loud. I would prefer no music as I like to hear the climber in action. I'd mute but I didn't want to miss your commentary.

2nd the music suggestion, very generic RUclipsr-core, not fitting with such an achievement.

    What’s your system for LRS?

Hi Brent, your cache loops look extremely long.... I believe you use a microtrax on certain routes, or in conjunction with the cloves. Is there a system you would use on a route with lots of ledges? I've tried the cloves in the past (up to 9 on my harness at a time), each with max 2m loops (which i still consider too far to extend a fall by really) but found that they really twisted the rope and got jammed up. I dislike the mt+slip knots as they also twist the rope, so have ended up with mt+atc guide for now, planning to move to mt+asap once I've got the funds. Cheers
