Exactly!!! Enlightening! The (Preacher) at the last church we went to for 25 years preached that we should not follow our heart (feelings - intuitions) as it will deceive you into believing how and what you feel.
Thank you for talking about gaslighting! I escaped a spiritually abusive system where I served as a staff pastor. I just read “The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse” this week, but as good as that book is (and it is EXCELLENT!), they don’t talk about gaslighting. I ordered your book earlier this evening and look forward to reading it. In the meantime, I’m enjoying your videos.

Our family experienced the same thing. As did many of some other families that have left the church we all went to.

Unchecked emotions CAN lead you astray. But God will often use our emotions to alert us to something that's wrong. So we can't disregard them.

I was on 30 days in a church. A slick “bishop” recruited my son and I only to
ICOC / ICC IS THE WORST.
