FINALLY... A DR650 video with a real rider pushing this tractor.... No blah blah blah wanna be BS... I consistently see BMW riders all geared up / dead summer / fluorescent yellowed up giving advice and tips... Good work to finally see a real rider... !!!!
Man awesome riding ! You're the Myth Busters for the DR650. You can't do that on a DR650, can't do that with a big tank and a tank bag, can't do that with full luggage, can't do that with a plastic bash plate...etc etc ! If there is anything I can't do on my DR, clearly it's because of me !!
Tough bike. Tough rider. Reworking the big DR's suspension really makes an incredible difference. My '17 DR lives an easy life compared to yours. When they stop making these great bikes, they'll be sorely missed. Best DR rider I've seen on YT, and I've seen almost all!
Cheers Austin, there's plenty more where this came from, I'm happy to fill the void 😀 you might like our "tech enduro trails" vid. ruclips.net/video/RhMHb4I1v_o/видео.html Thanks for dropping in
I almost never comment on videos but this video is exactly what I wanted to see. I've been looking at all kinds of reviews for Dual-sports and every one is full of specs and comparisons. Enough to drive you crazy. Seeing someone just take it out on all kinds of terrain and showing what it's capable of is absolutely perfect. This is the first video I've watched of yours and it earned my like and subscribe without asking once. Very well done. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch it again
Thankyou I also love your stuff, it's great to see your deep understanding of videography and the work and planning that goes into it. Cheers for dropping a line
@@SKIDSnSTUFF May be a while as the discontinuation of the bike may stall this. Nether seen anyone ride a DR like that mate. Lucky I did not see it before getting my KTM 690 as would of saved 10K but would not be able to ride it like you do! Look forward to the next vid.
Brilliant riding. If I left my DR with you for a few days do you think you could train-it-up to that sort of level for me? Happy to provide my DR, in good mechanical nick, fully kitted with camping gear in low-slung soft panniers, a full 30 litre tank of fuel and with fresh Dunlop 606's. My DR is not a novice but could do with some specialised training - especially jumping (large) logs, riding across moss-covered rocks and negotiating deep water with concealed, slimy, twin track ruts etc... Happy to leave the bike for a longer period of time if that is required. Many thanks.
You ride like the devil man!!!! The diversity of country in this video is unreal! Just in the middle of purchasing my second DR650. Such an inspirational video, THANKS!
Great vid !! Good to see familiar scenery and that fallen Jarrah clearance was impressive. It's unusual to see the old bush pig getting pushed like that but it shows how skill can achieve a lot. Cheers and subbed.
True, but of confidence, judgement, and speed guess which one can be purchased with a key ? I'm the happy owner of a DR650SE with Bark- buster add-on due to slightly bent handlebars.
Well in the wrestling of the pig.. i think you won that round my friend!! Very entertaining, i must say your suspension looks like its doing a better job than my old girl.. or maybe im not trying hard enough 🤔 Nice work mate..👌
Nice bit of riding! Wish I had someplace like that closer to my home near Toronto. I have a 1991 DR650 and a 2018 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. Completely different ends of the adventure spectrum. The KTM is amazing, with a motor that makes me want to take it to bed with me. The DR has been my solid ride since i bought it in 1992. Doesn't even have electric start. I'm considering selling the KTM, it's just quite large and quite heavy, and prepping the DR for longer trips. I have done quite a lot of work on the DR, but it's geared more like a big trials bike right now. I've done the front forks but the stock rear shock could use some work. Wish it was a 6-speed, the 5-speed tranny is one of the dumbest things Suzuki did, and continues to do.
Thanks Randy! We are pretty lucky here with the wide open lands right out the front door. I find the DR pretty capable for most things with the right gearing (15/44) but definitely get a good tight revalve on the rear shock, that in itself could be the single best change on the Warpig
I'm guessing your dr has a full carb upgrade and a few other extras. I'd like to know what jets will make my stock dr run like that? I do have an aftermarket exhaust which not only lightened the bike but gave it a little more power but I need to change the jets.
Nice ridin mate... wondering how you plow through that sandy stuff... wow...and river.. What is the phone bracket holder you using ?? Stays on I guess eh... greetings from Muskoka Canada..
I have a 2018 model, top end jst started squealing on my last 65 mile stretch goen home, still runs fine, except for the noise, anybody heard of this, need info b4 i take to shop
@skids n stuff I watched your videos before buying my DR650 which I got 2 weeks ago, it's my first time riding off road and owning a dual sport bike, I've already spent around 15 hours total riding in the bush and now I really have an appreciation for just how good a rider you are! I'm still running with the stock tyres but I find them extremely slippery, especially in sand, which tyres do you run on yours?
@skidds and stuff. Awesome video man ! Really enjoyed watching your skills and riding. I recently picked up a xt600e from 2002 and installed hyperpro afterparket front and rear springs ! I hope Suzuki is hard at work with their new DR and don't stray too far from the current model... and pricing
The horn beap mid air made me smile. Excellent riding 👍
Yeah not bad.. Haha kidding, sweet riding yet again mate, such a joy to watch a bike of that weight being tossed like it's a 110kg enduro.

Absolutely, Im more than willing to give it a shot for how ever long it takes. General turn around is approx 12 months :)
After 12 months, you just have to point it at the ruts and watch her go.
