428 ft lbs on my stock A6....and it is a wolf in sheep's clothing indeed. Snaps my head back every time when i get on it. I might consider a new turbo/tune if ever the current stock set up fails. I cruise in it and dont really need much out of my DD....so I see me and this turbo lasting thru my ownership.....I also have a 12 tourag DD, and that thing is at the bottom of the depreciation curve. Similar drive train as the A6 and smaller turbo, 406 ft lbs, but just as devastating on the pavement...i am more willing to experiment on it than the A6....fortunately the turbo was just replaced by the previous owner and I've got at least another 100k of joy before that breaks...if ever.

If you're looking to modify the car it very possible that you may be able to look at getting a broader range of 3.0tdi engines(if that makes sense?) if down the line you'll be changing parts. they did the flap delete on this, it's cold fed from underneath, you lose about 20mph top end to that limp mode issue they have been having if you add an open filter. the only thing you get from a open filter on these is noise.... I have one and a bigger maf sensor, more hassle than it's worth... actually going back to the stock box tomorrow as it happens
it all depends on rail pressure where peak power comes, we just tune for visible smoke. Excessive smoke usually does not limit power at all if you ignore EGT

I'm looking at getting a clean 2015 Audi A6 3.0 tdi as a new daily driver. Can I make some decent power with it doing an exhaust, intake, and tune? At least until I decide to upgrade the turbocharger and fuel system.

i'm having limpmode issues at top-end. stage 2, it will go into limp mode, then when i bring the speed down for a few hundred yards the car is fine again, no EML, just the glow-plug light flashing....
I’m having the exact same issue, my a5 2.7 TDI just gets stuck at 4000rpm (starts jerking and slows down) and doesn’t want to go any further in certain gear, glow plugs are flashing too. Would this be the tune also? - Hoping it’s not the gear box💔
@@DarksideDevelopments Myself I would take strength and reliability over gaining a few 10ths of a second in my 0-60 times. Unless you're someone who is regularly going drag racing , I'm not sure 0-60 matters too much while driving in the real world environment.
I don't have issues with the manual. You need to install a heavy duty clutch kit. Stronger pressure plate and a puck clutch. The dual mass flywheel can hold 800+ newton meters. Downgrading to SMF is not recommended, it will idle weird.
Can you tell me what the intercooler kit for the V6 tdi A4 B9 the 272hp permanent quattro does? Along with a remap to about 310hp would it be enough, maybe a bigger air intake silicone pipe. Would that be good?

Are these comparable to a 335D/435D? At stage 1, numbers i seem to be looking at seems like a big difference in favour of the BMW, would you need mods like on this A5 for one to keep up with a 335D?
What has happened to the project now? I'm sooooo curious about new information! I did almost the same mods, right now my '15 CDUC has reached 386 (DIN) PS and 786 Nm. During optimizing, limp mode occured twice @ approx. 380 PS and 800 Nm due to less fuel supply, thus that seems to be the limit without changing HPFP. But before upgrading it, I'll have to check why sometimes the gearbox shows an error (which disappears when turning ignition off and on again), and sometimes the engine shows an error, too. This error remains permanent and has to be deleted by software. Besides this, the clutch seems to be another weak point, it obviously slips when pulling too hard (maybe that's another gearbox problem?). But folks, i tell ya, nothing compensates for those astonishing faces of other drivers when they are taken over! The acceleration of a quattro is ingenious!

I was thinking, with the clutch/flywheel not liking the extra power..would a solid-mass/racing clutch be possible?..and also the gearbox may not be as smooth with a solid-mass, so would a beefed-up Kwik-Shift do the trick?. Also a Wavetrac-Diff to help plant the extra power to the floor....
Fitting a solid flywheel to a DSG is asking for trouble, and the Flywheel does not really limit the power, the clutch does not touch it. We have Clutch upgrades listed, but we need to see where the limit is first of a stock one. What is a 'beefed-up Kwik-Shift'? There is no Wavetrac for this gearbox. Thanks

Alreet.. I'm tuning my a4 b7 3.0tdi and I'm restricted on the rail pressure.. it's got cp3 pump and has new injectors.. the original engine was a 204 bkn but now has a 239 newer b7 engine.. I'm going into limp mode after 1700bar rail pressure so was wondering if one of your 2200 RPS would sort it out or would it be restricted on the 204 ECU? Thanks
How did you get 1st gear to actually work? Mine never pulls hard in 1st, it'll use 1st to get moving, switch to 2nd then take off. No matter how much throttle I use.
Wow, I’ve got a ‘13 Sq5 bitdi which is remapped to 380 bhp and 595 lbft and I’m wondering what you guys could do with that? Eg what hardware you would suggest, as I’ve not changed anything other than had it remapped. I would be very interested in upgrading it if poss.

Could you change the metering valve on a stock vehicle that hasn't been mapped (yet) to the one you mention or would it cause issues if you just have the stock map? Just planning my hardware changes first then going to get you into mapping post covid

I had an eco map on my a4 143bhp b8 audi. It now has 168bhp and 272ft-lb, and feels much quicker. But this A5 is something else, it's crazy fast.

Yea the A5 in the video is the later engine (B8.5). CDUC. They are from 2012 onwards and the easiest way to tell is the plastic inlet manifolds.

It should be fine but not always!
But there is a risk of breaking something? Can I install the valve and turn engine on safely?
Unless you are upgrading the turbo, you will not need a metering upgrade
how much you can get from 3.0 TDi just by software tune(stoch is 250HP)

IC lowers charge temps a lot so you wont get EGT cut so soon. Sounds like a plan!

With just a tune a 335d is much quicker, after a turbo swap there is not much in it.

What happened to the A4 Project I've got an A4 B8 2.0 TDI and wondering if I can put a K&N cone filter in it just for that sound most people say not to put a cone filter in a diesel is that right.iv got a K&N panal filter in it
Crap gearbox so stuck at 300hp! K&N dont belong near an engine!
So how much would a build like this cost? Very tempting car.

I'd like to see 150hp per liter and still be a reliable cruiser. 450-460hp should be doable, but 395 is nice!
whats best way to get the front fog light grills off without taking the whole bumper off? i have an A5 an the Fog lights are steamed up whats a quick easy fix??
I dont think you need the bumper off, I'm sure there are video's online!

Alreet.. I'm tuning my a4 b7 3.0tdi and I'm restricted on the rail pressure.. it's got cp3 pump and has new injectors.. the original engine was a 204 bkn but now has a 239 newer b7 engine.. I'm going into limp mode after 1700bar rail pressure so was wondering if one of your 2200 RPS would sort it out or would it be restricted on the 204 ECU? Thanks
Must have a problem somewhere, those injectors don't like a lot of RP

Hey guys, what gains can you expect from an intercooler and standard turbo on an a6 272 quattro?
With stock downpipe we generally see around 310-315bhp
Wanting to get an a7 3.0tdi is it the same engine/gearbox as the a5 in this video? Could I use the same, hardware/mods to get the same power figures?
Depending which model but most are similar but not the same, should do similar with similar mods!
How did you get 1st gear to actually work? Mine never pulls hard in 1st, it'll use 1st to get moving, switch to 2nd then take off. No matter how much throttle I use.

Wow, I’ve got a ‘13 Sq5 bitdi which is remapped to 380 bhp and 595 lbft and I’m wondering what you guys could do with that? Eg what hardware you would suggest, as I’ve not changed anything other than had it remapped. I would be very interested in upgrading it if poss.

A diesel ban won’t happen any time soon, it’s not practical there are millions of diesel is the UK alone, and nout matches the efficiency and reliability

I have a diesel question right here guys ..Should I install a downpipe or re-use the DPF body with the Filter removed from inside.. does the downpipe make more power in this situation ?
With a straight pipe its a little noisier but I doubt power increases much

I’m in the market now for a Audi A4 avant 3.0 tdi how do I make sure I get the one with right engine and box same as this a5 has in it so there’s no problems when going for this upgrade,(bolt on package), and what year cars have this engine ie 2012-2015. Thanks for any help
This is a 2012 model, the CDUC engine was in them from 2011 to ~2014. S-tronic Gearbox

The intercooler is crap so its not worth tuning without IMO. 360-380hp
What happened with the big Honeywell turbo on the spare engine? 600 hp goal on this one?
Still on the shelf, much more work to fit on the newer engine!

Could you change the metering valve on a stock vehicle that hasn't been mapped (yet) to the one you mention or would it cause issues if you just have the stock map? Just planning my hardware changes first then going to get you into mapping post covid
