MacGyver drove a YJ. I’ll never forget the episode where he crashed it, got amnesia, and was rescued by the Amish.

I lost count of how many other Jeepers I have winched out and recovered. And have been hauled out a couple times. Jeep Peep look after each other for the most part. And sad that the XJ peeps don't get the love that a Wrangler or CJ driver does. I never got the Jeep Wave when I was in my XJ or ZJ 5.9 limited. But get em all the time in my TJ or when I had my YJ.
It funny hey. I drive my 1987 YJ in the summer, here in Canada waves galore. I drive my 2008 Cherokee 5.7 lt and only the off road guys/gals get it. Top it off my insurance co. has it listed as a mini van, LOL It great I get cheap insurance. The YJ would be 3x if it wasn't under Hagerty classic ins. Both are less than 80 a month.
I keep my rigs cared for serviced and knock on wood have only broke once at the roadside, due to a dead alternator. But in 15 min 2 guys stoped had 2 sets of jumper cables hooked up and on my way home, thankfully I was only 20 min from home and it was on the guys way home. Had a beer with them and made new frieds to go wheeling with
I am a Mechanic by trade, ride Motorcycles most of the time and the only people who will stop out of the blue are Bikes and Jeepers, if they see someone broke down. It's really sad. I guess most don't have any connection to their car, even fancy hot rudders, OH dam it's a Ford and I only drive Chey's. Mentality.
I see someone with the hood up I ask. Just think how much nicer the world could be if everyone had the pleasure of meeting a group of nice people who break shit and can live with it, roads were built by people on Horse wagons. Just think if people didn't stop and help whittle out a new spoke wheel.
EV's will be the death of random interactions, the kid who meets his first Girl friend will never happen again.
Sorry for the long rant. Glad I am on the down side of life. I don't want to be here when people live in Vertual reality 24/7fed green slime. Dam I miss the old days.

It’s another breed. Years ago, my Mom’s friend got a little Jeep Wrangler and we went off roading. Me being 18 with no idea what I was doing end up getting high centered on a rock and the 4wd goes out. We’re in the middle of a canyon. Suddenly hear music deeper in, so I venture off to see if we can get some help. I’ll never forget how this grown ass man lit up like a kid on Christmas when he realized he’d get to use his new winch to pull us out.

none of those guys that work for bleepnjeep stick around long.
I would guess that matt keeps most of the money since it is his channel. so the other folks probably get burned out quick doing all of that work and only getting some of the revenue

I've made lift blocks out of 6 inch logs to fix inverted rear springs on a yj on a Rubicon trip. He drove 80 miles home like that. On the same trip I took 3 high lift Jack's and made a tow bar to get a jk with a busted steering box off the trail.
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that is great shape with zero rust and zero oil leaks. I get compliments every single time I pump gas. I keep getting "Ducked". What's that all about and what's the genesis of it?

I've got friends I made on the trail to this day I could still call and they'd show up to help. The people who introduced me to keeping have long since gone but the bonds made in the woods last. My now wife spent alota time on the trails with us before we ever kissed.

A friend loaned me his '97 Jeep Wrangler (very nice shape, completely stock, 4 cylinder, manual transmission) for a month... I was unprepared for the "Jeep Community" and felt uncomfortable if I didn't return "Wave" to other Wranglers I encountered in my travels. 🙄

What year/trim level is it? I've mostly owned XJ's, but now I'm loving my 98 ZJ 5.9 Limited. No mods, pretty much bone stock.
@pferris3591 97 Limited, V8. I don't have it fixed up or lifted. It just has been a very reliable and comfortable vehicle.

I've been to that exact spot off highway 360 close by Arlington. The entrance was right off the highway. I remember when they blocked it off a few years back
Update: yea I wrote this comment right before he mentioned it's right off the highway. But yes it's literally like straight up a dirt hill on the right side if you're going west I believe. People would be able to see you go up the hill if they were driving on the highway. But somehow that place was open for a long time

I have limped my jeep home in front wheel drive more times than I can count... wheel long enough and it happens

Umm Jeep community does not stop and help out this tiny little lady when my Cherokee got stuck in the mud and I was all alone....and I was in my PJs at 8am. There was nothing around to stick under my tires to get some traction to get unstuck. A group of 5 freaking Jeeps drove right past me with their winches on their front bumpers and didn't even wave at me. I eventually had to sacrifice the wood I had in my car I was gunna use to make a table with to the mud and finally unstuck myself 3 hours later. That's when I stopped believing in this "nice and helpful" Jeep community.

I done the same thing n a old subaru loyal wagon the front axels would always break so I'd hit 4wd and it would be rear wheel drive instead of front.. and if that thing got sideways it took ALOT to get it back with all that weight and 0 power
