      @@ArcTechnologies Do you think it would be possible to eventually add a built-in online theme browser/storefront? So users can browse themes by category, see screenshots, ratings, descriptions, and automatically download and install themes? That would be amazing, and I bet you could do it judging by the polish in your app!

    • @ArcTechnologies
      @ArcTechnologies  4 месяца назад

      Exactly! I thought about this before but I don't really know how to start. I was thinking of integrating with gnome-look.org but I don't know how to. :(

    Nice looking application - Adaptive colors is amazing and I love the saturation and brightness sliders that you have implemented! If I were to offer any suggestions, just from an "intuitive" stand point, there isn't anything that would tell me as a user that if I click on "Not Okay" that I would be able to change the saturation/brightness. I would consider "not okay" as more of a cancel. You may want to consider embedding the sliders into the area to the right below the color palletes listing to the right so that is always visible. The biggest challenge I have, personally, theming Gnome is I - like so many others - use applications that are not GTK. So anytime I want to change themes, I also have to change Kvantum and deal with Flatpaks (that is IF I can find an associated kvantum theme), and while I can go into Kvantum and the Flatseal applications and do those manually, it would be really cool if someone would be able to create a one stop application that managed all pieces to completely theme Gnome. I don't know if that's possible and I don't see how the adaptive colors could ever be implemented across all of those areas, but I can dream - excellent work! 🙂

      Thank you so much! Glad to receive your suggestions and feedback. Initially I thought of just placing "Not Okay" as a cancel button, the idea of implementing sliders came later and weirdly I coupled them 😅
      Will be changing that soon.
      About that one stop app for implementing all the changes. Well lemme see what can be done. Solid suggestion! ❤️

    Evolve is really a cool software. I like the features and Animations of these great software especially the easiest switch between the comprehensive themes. Please make this software available on gnome software so that it becomes easier to get updates for graphical users like me.

    When Evolve come to Flatpak... Hope they going to release it for Flatpak users. The only reasons is beacause now flatpak thinking about implement monetize for contributions over open-sources and mostly because they want to allow their devs to being supported over Open-sources projects.

    Not to trash you on this, it looks fantastic and has a really cool use case. But also, its a bit strange that an application designed to change and interact with the theming of your desktop disregards the theming and has a white loading screen? Like shouldn't you already know what theme the user has enabled? Couldn't you use that info to create a better looking loading screen in relation to the theme the user has enabled? IMO a blank ui looks better than a loading screen. Thank you for the great work! Just switched from Sway to KDE and I am disliking the lack of tiling options. Hoping that I can check out gnome to see what they have going on there!

      Also I'd like to point out that the scrolling 'album' and 'at' cards is an interesting way to show to the user that there are multiple items there. But I feel like clicking the first time should immediately change the card. Users have strong first impressions on ui and will handicap themselves if they are given the wrong feedback on the capability of the design. When I see other card-like ui designs, clicking on any image / button obviously interacts like a button. But white space needs to be treated as interacting with the card ui as it is here. One thing to note, is that I see with other cards, typically there is a node like indicator at the bottom center that displays what card you are on and how many other cards there are. I am not sure if these designs are the best way to implement a card-like ui, however it does seem as though it is the standard, and if you are trying to implement them, IMO it is better for everyone if you stick with that standard.

      No! That is the GUI Theme installer I provide for my customization videos to Patreon members. This app recognizes such previous installs and helps the user apply the theme-pack or just switch among the different theme-packs installed.
