  • Damon Darling sits down with On the Road of Recovery to share his experience through his alcohol and drug addiction. With four brothers, a mom that worked a lot, and no father in his life, he grew up taking on a lot of responsibility of the home. But with his party lifestyle, he soon lost that responsibility.
While living in that scene, his disease took control and would end him up in legal trouble, failed marriages and completely broke. When the doctor told him he might not make it past 30 if his drinking kept on the way it was, Damon took a close look at himself and realized that he didn't want to die that way. He was determined to get sober no matter what. Once he was able to put some sober time together, he was a much better man for it. He went after his long-time passion of becoming a stand-up comedian. Eventually, his life started coming together. He was able to reconnect with his family and married a woman who he was deeply in love with. They started a family and now, he is hard worker, loving father, and devoted husband. He thanks God for his sobriety.
