Another great interview Ian! I can so relate to Damon, I admire his courage and honesty. The fact that he believes in his therapy and has actually executed the skills and a thought process that he has been seeking through self-care and professional help.
Wonderful Interveiw Damon Darling is my favorite comedian bub and I came across him on Facebook which is my favorite app! Damon Darling needs to be in a movie ASAP!
I watched this solely to hear the story of how he got fired. Turned out I really enjoyed this. I felt his pain when he said it felt good to just be good at something. I can truly relate to that. Thank you
never heard of ths guy but i love him and ill follow and subscribe and support from here on out. We don't need mainstream media or Hollywood we need this kind of content right here real life. Real truth. Much love
I love this guy I think he's going to go very far with his comedy career I crack up all the time at his videos and it's nice to hear him be so relatable in this interview
I just recently discovered Damon over the 2024 Christmas holiday. He's hilarious and it's humbling to know that his deep sense of humour comes from a number of painful experiences. I've been through some stuff too and I must say that I doubt I'd still be sane if it wasn't for my sense of humour. I can tell he has a genuine fear of the Lord and in this day and age that is very impressive. I pray he does really well. God bless you Damon, and Ian too for bringing us this interview. "Love ya... being honest probably fallen for you Bob" ;-) lol Blessings
Great interview. 👍 This guy is so honest about his reality, he's tougher than he thinks being able to self-criticize publicly. Refreshingly honest dude, hope life goes well for him. 🤟
I appreciate this interview. It’s really hard to get people to understand certain aspects of the way we are in life. It means so much to me when I hear someone else tell their story and it aligns with my own. Those alcoholic days feel so lit until you realize that you are nothing more than a bum that’s portraying another person while intoxicated, but can’t even afford to be yourself.
Good work bro! U can’t ever say you were never good at anything until u found comedy. You were a good son, dad, friend, those traits are more important then being good at a job or sport for example. Don’t sell yourself short. Even if u we’re a honest friend or faithful husband, that would make you better then 50% of the population
5AM.. saw this guys TikTok’s before watched a couple , seen this and watched because of the title never knew his story & I relate and felt some of the things he said 💯 think it was a reason I watched this 💯 keep going up brother u deserve the most success !
Great interview! It's so good to hear about his recovery and sticking with it! I had to laugh at him saying it's his least fav jokes that make it! It seems crazy, but I've heard that from other content creators.
I already love his content.. but now, wow what a human being. To see him so vulnerable just gives me mad respect for the man. Way to go and to the top for you sir! Keep it up Damon!
Wow it’s amazing to hear his story and see him out of his usual character, he is very real and inspirational he makes me smile when I watch his videos and I can relate to him I grew up with a single mom I had two younger siblings and a dongle co mom of two boys always made sure they had the best of Everything and also pursing nursing it’s been a C long road off n on due to mental health struggles and single mom life but I’m finally about to apply to RN’ ! He wasn’t willing to do anything about the fight between the two inmates but HOT DAMN one look at another dude smacking it and he said KNOCK IT OFF OR IM GONNA PEOPER SPRAY YOU. Hahahah I couldn’t stop laughing when I compared the two instances
Damon I thank you for helping me get sober and I been clean for five years and my life has change for the best and I thank you for helping building the strength 💪 to live sober. Thank you bub!!!
I went through years where i couldn't function sober but my problem wasn't alcohol it was snorting heroin fentanyl and cocaine/smoke crack till 2 and a half years ago i decided to get into treatment and it was pretty rough.. anyone who wants to get clean has to do it for themselves to better themselves or it won't work it doesn't work if people force you, you have to want help yourself!! 🐱
Dude, you 100% did the right thing by not breaking up that prison fight. Nothing good would have come from that. Sucks you lost your job, but not really. I could never work in a place like that. Cold, steel and concrete… No thanks not for any amount.
Congratulations on your sobriety that's big tíme something to be proud of ..it's was like a daily routine for me drink maybe hit a few lines smoke some dbl s for 20 years st8 ... so one day I woke up and said let's change these routines I did on a daily basis... I looked up and said god plz help concur my fear of losing alcohol you most definitely have to want it that's for sure for me good luck
Ian. I really am impressed by your interview skills. You let the guy talk and really listen unlike most interviewers. Really rare to see someone so composed. Great shit !
I can relate to growing up poor, don’t get me wrong I had many things im thankful for, but between my grandparents getting ill, I lived in a single parent household my mom was on a limited income and I remember in high school not wanting anyone to come over because of things that were going on in my household and also our home was very small. A lot of people I went to HS with had more, I felt I don’t know if embarrassed is the word about my home life but I felt like I didn’t have some of the same things others had. I’m 33 now and I’m doing pretty well for myself now, but yeah hearing stories like this really hits home and personal for me but in a good way because it reminds me that the world is a big vast place and if you’re feeling a certain way about something there’s other people out there who are too you’re not alone
Dudeeee! As small of a town as urbana is i love that area going all the way around to even yellowsprings that whole area is just beautiful to drive through
