I wasn't heavily involved back then, but from what I have gathered from twitter, some antis were calling SKZ music ''pots and pans'' and ''construction music'', so they said ''bet'' and put pots and pans and a construction site in God's Menu MV.
And I still remember how gagged we were when Christmas Evil just randomly got a music show win when we were fighting for our lives to get wins for actual comebacks 😭

Album weeks! Yes. Start from the beginning to see & hear their growth musically. And don't forget to watch the teasers & trailers for the albums & songs. Those are a treat as well.

@@lifeofmorganp Dance practices? They have really good choreo. And they also did some cute versions. So any dance practice or performance that goes to a album.

@@lifeofmorganp Right. The intros. Those have so much info about their thoughts while making the album. It's up to you if you watch the intro before, or after the album. If you watch the album first, then the intro, you will form your own ideas first & learn what they meant after. Or you could watch the intro first & get a idea of the album, then watch it with a deeper understanding from the beginning.
Even though they did not promote Christmas Evel, they won on Music Bank 😁

I would say that Twice is a bigger group in JYPE when it comes to overall popularity but I think over these few years Skz has definitely gotten more popular 🤔

SKZ-Player's are official MVs, so not just a background pic and the song, so so far only gotten 1 at best if Chan's "Eternity" counted I'm pretty sure. Also from what I know the nr of pre orders hasn't been announced for ROCKSTAR or ATE.
Ahhh I had no idea the difference, thank you for clarifying!! And oooh I just assumed pre-order stats would be released immediately after pre-orders were over LOL but I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that!
i wasn't a stay when they released side effects but I've heard that at least then the noise music complaints were already a thing, so they maybe started from 2019 when they released it, but i don't know for sure.

They mixed up the Hyunjin accusations. The accusation from the girl was the year before (I think, or 2019) and was proven false. Particularly the fact that he was at an all-boys' school at the time. The incident he went on hiatus for was not actually bullying, but fighting amongst class-mates. Unfortunately mud sticks and he will never be able to fully shake the rumours, especially since he was the bigger man and apologized for any hurt caused. (Would be nice if the other party could have done the same, since his accusation was far more damaging and hurtful. And since he is not in the public eye, he suffers no consequences)
Ugh, that's so absolutely frustrating. One of the hardest lessons in life is that not everyone is going to be a good/bigger person. Good on Hyunjin, I so admire him for doing that and how he endured that painful time 😞

Stray kids is nowhere near JYP's first big group. But it is the first seriously internationally successful one (bar 2NE1 but that was a whole *waves hand* shitshow on JYP's part). But skz is one of the biggest kpop groups of all time. So it's not really a comparison (sorry 2PM and 2NE1).
EDIT: Also I vote Oddinary for the best album. :)
Also Seventeen is HUGE in korea. Not so much internationally. They and skz are the biggest fourth gen groups in kpop. They're also self produced. Woozi does the production for Seventeen.

And ooh yes, gosh after seeing the Maniac tour in-person Oddinary is 1000% no skips, all amazing songs!!
