They could only send a letter because they can't enforce or it violated Constitutional rights.
They could've all died unfortunately in accidents if it were willed to be
Apparently that’s no longer a concern for them. The laws that is.
yet anyway, not sure how much longer
Man that's classic. Everything about life in the 80s I learned from Star Wars, Eddie Murphy, and NWA.
This was one of my favorite episodes. Really enjoyed it!
Uncle Ice Cube you da man, One Love from Aboriginal Australia, we as kids fitted the descripion and always had cops checking on us
"Amerikkka's Most" is still a certified classic to this day. Going solo from NWA was a power move and one of the best things Cube could have done for himself and his career.
cause he’s the nigga that farted…Amerikkkas most wanted!
Great musical album. Lots of samples. Memorized most of it at 14-15 years old. Good times!
I can’t wait till I hear this one! I bet Ice Cube has great stories.
Congrats on over 2,000 episodes!!! Would love to see Michael Jordan at some point as we head toward 3,000! Love JRE!
Dork
I would like more handcock and Carlson those guys are fascinating
Bot
Saw NWA in 89 in Louisville, KY. Dope show!!
This reminds me of the FBI foolishness regarding the 1963 song by the Kingsmen, Louie Louie. " The FBI spent so much time (2 years) and resources on an investigation which was comical and went nowhere because the song was nonsense. It turned out to be a major embarrassment for the FBI.
It’s called free speech Mr. FBI man
Defend the Police has entered the chat...
So hard in the US.. in Russia they simpy would've given an offer he couldnt refuse...
Yeah, sending the letter is pretty damn close to the text book definition of infringing on the rights of a US citizen.
@@ivangohome Russia is the third world now
@@Kortyzoll oh I know. I left late. Should've left with the Kremlin kids in the 90s
I guess we saw which out of the two 3-letter agencies was more powerful
Ice Cube has been one of my favorite artists since I was in 8th grade and got really heavy into hip-hop and rap. It’s really nice to see him finally do a JRE
This interview I highly recommend, he says a lot ! Very informative guy
Cube is an inspirational Brother Always.
How cool would it have been for Joe to pull a Dr Phil moment and say well cube we got that fbi officer here today, 🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
One of things I love most about cube is how he is so tough and looks mean as hell- then he smiles and then he just looks harmless.
The FBI went full Karen with that letter.
they never stopped lol
Sounded like a fake letter the way it was written, I doubt the FBI would write like that.
😂😂😂😂😂
'Keep it up lads the private prison industry is absolutely bumping'
One of my fav episode! always have respect for cube!
We need that 2Live Crew documentary as well. They won freedom of speech case for their raps which has allowed rappers to say what they want the last 30yrs+
Don't you miss the days when the bureah was Agents Scully and Mulder, before they went full Stasi? 😂
Looking back at it now those were still the good old days..
Cops: Where's Ice Cube?!
Ice Cube *Steadily disappears in the crowd*
Really hope they have Cube back; this was a great episode!
Ice Cube is in my top 3 rappers of all time, since I was around 5 he was my favorite NWA member.

@@jsanders9975I don’t agree, but it’s hard to argue with that list. I’d swap Marshall and Christopher for Rakim and Cube. That’s tough though. All of them are legends. Black Thought too, he often gets overlooked.
Great for not being intimidated since the FBI is used to intimidating.
Intimidating? Murder!
If you watched Ice Cube speak at John Weatherspoons funeral he said he's guna start speaking out so glad to see Cube use Joe's platform to speak to the people💯💯🔥🔥
Nothing has changed today but great story what a time that was
Since he was on impaulsive and full send first it really shows that there's levels to this podcast game
Man Rogan has the best guests.
blows my mind, that this guy who has been rapping in my headphones for almost 20 years, is now having a regular chat here on JRE. I love JRE.
Bro, it’s over thirty years…
Do you think this whole podcast is scripted like in all of the talk shows
Same music for 20 years? Lol
@@dolphin069 i only started listening at like 14 years old, which was 16 years ago lol
@@stellviahohenheim definintely not scripted. but obviously there are HOT questions youd wanna ask. like tarantino, ask about pulp fiction. ice cube, ask about eazy e. frikkin, neil degrassse tyson, ask about the universe. etc.
Y'all need Mike Judge animating this shit, like Tales from the Tour Bus
They just need to make more Tales From the Tour Bus in general lol
I need the full podcast cause this is amazing
Cube is one my favorites of all time!
Me and my boys were performing at a party, and the police showed up, and I dipped too 😂
The FBI investigated the Kingsman’s “Louie Louie” in 1963. Not their first time to be concerned about music.
Well cube is kinda narcissistic, he gotta make it all about him lol
All interviewers can learn from JR, he just let's his guests talk and actually listens to what they have to say. He doesn't let his own bias and pre conceived ideas cloud everything.
"Where'd you go? They was looking for you"
"Man I dipped" 😂
The letter said “keep going guys, be the pioneers to help destroy inner city youth, thanks for helping keep the jails and cemeteries packed”
Did the letter lie tho?
“Man I dipped, and ima dip again next show” 😅 give it cube, kept that thuggery
Ice Cube Top 10 Best Rapper of all time.
Lmfao
3:20 Joe Rogan's impression of the author of the letter is some of the funniest stuff I have ever heard! 😂😂😂🤔
I so remember that song and the government did this to ya….I was bumping your song in Oakland CA…..gotta fight back daily for Freedom of Speech . Massive respect ❤
“You ever met this dude?” “Nah, never” 😂😂 From NWA, Westside Connection, solo career and movie career we appreciate you Cube 💯💯 living legend!!!🤙🏾🤙🏾
Joe reading the letter will be the intro to Track 1 on the next album.
Crazy how the fbi thought the song was gonna be the reason for people to go at the police haha
Ice cube u my g been listening to yo music lately and yo bud fly eazy e RIP to a legend
Wow! This is all getting WAY out of hand! The FBI is out of control. How many constitutional rights have they broke in this instance alone. Thank you Joe for the share! And for pissing me off at 8:00 am on a Saturday, but it’s okay we all need to hear this.
Are you seriously whining about something that happened over 30 years ago?
@user - Yes, yes I am. Do you honestly think it’s STILL not happening? Quite frankly it’s not whining - it’s bitching.
How old are you? Your faux outrage is really late. Chill out, have another Bud Light. 🤣

Much respect on that dip game. It's a skill you got to learn
No one knows what you’re talking about.
I do. Time to leave any situation without fuss or drawing attention to your exit. On account of the unpleasant shit about to manifest in that geographic location.
LOL!!! The FBI needs a letter or two.
Or three.
Cube about to expose a lot in this podcast he already said he would
Everything he saying is literally in straight outta Compton. His movie from like the 90s
I'm wondering what he's going to say as well. After seeing the video he put out.
He's too scared to talk.
Cube is a fake ass black napoleon.
Nobody cares about his 3 on 3 basketball nonsense.
He's got a leg on both sides of the fence.
His memory is terrible... speaks so slow.
@@Jayess-c about the 90s not from the 90s
I played that on the radio when I had a government job and was working the Bureau as they were called. Dude was like "You know they are talking about killing law enforcement?"
I responded "Nothing in our current interaction has proved them wrong."
I love how they used the opening line of this letter in the news broadcast in the movie.
The FBI hate sure helped sell records.
Got fan mail from the FBI lmao
Even if you hate all forms of hip hop and rap, you're an idiot if you can't respect Cube for everything he created, accomplished and survived. I remember being in the 8th grade and hearing Fuck The Police for the first time. Jaw hit the floor as I was thinking "you can say that?" and "what did Sting ever do to you guys?"
It’s good to see Cube on this podcast. Just last, we said f*ck and was ready to speak. Here he is! Keep talking!!!
Mr. Jackson. Respect. Love you. Thanks for your songs. I grew up with your songs 😢❤
@JoeRogan..-. ✌
Think that letter would be framed and hung right in the lobby.
In the 90's being anti-law enforcement got fbi attention. Now being pro law enforcement gets fbi attention.
The FBI needs to focus solely on fondling nutsacks looking for weed like the REAL & BRAVE Local Law Enforcement Officers. #BackTheBlue
What?
backing the blue surely worked out well didnt it
