With a quite seismic system change due to the ending of apartheid, it is no surprise SA rugby then struggled and this is when NZ started to pick up many wins as politics (just as before) took over and changed the ethos of SA rugby. It gives a favourable statistic to NZ these days but the hard truth is even the most legendary All Blacks could not hack it in SA before the ending of apartheid.
