    Stirling Silliphant (1918-1996) also created Naked City & Route 66. And screenplay for Poseiden Adventure.

    Fun fact: the movie Manos: The Hands of Fate was made as part of a bet with Silliphant.

    I enjoyed In the Heat of the Night, but for this category, The Graduate was BEYOND robbed.

    Okay , i can live with In the heat of the night winning Best Picture, because it's fucking awesome too, but this one should have gone to The Graduate

    Jeez, the way they announce the nominees and winners, the way they hand the awards on separate sides of the stage, the short speeches… just awkward all around!
