I don't understand why Microsoft doesn't offer this course through its Learn website. Why does it need to go through coursera?
How hard is it to change careers with just coursera certs in 2024? I've tried to get an entry level data analyst role for 6 months. Tried free lancing and just plain old job hunting, but nothing. Probably just the market we are in idk. What do you guys think? Did you manage to actually get a job from these certs recently?
I am taking the Unilever Supply Chain Analyst one right now. I see alot of non degree openings. I had an inkling, plus about 10 years ago, it was hard to getting into IT with just certificates that took forever to finish, I learned how to code a few years ago and could not find a job. I know people with degrees that cannot find a job in the fields they studied. It was hard to break into a new field up to 2019 now it is just impossible to find a new job in anything.

@@AshleyHaselwood it is giving me the jist of what the field and job is. I still need to relearn sheets and excel. I learned html, css and js a few years ago and already forgot alot and never touched sql but I will take a udemy or something on the spreadsheets and sql, and then maybe the AI basics from google and the Maybe, Maybe the google data analytics, but I think I will go to WGU for the supply chain manager degree because some youtube video showed it can take more or less a year. Other accredited certs from the global supply chain cost 13K and take a year and some courses from just the cert at CC take a year or an associates takes 3 years, I might as well do it at WGU. I just want to do the unilver just to find a job that does not require a degree which I have seen alot of and just to break out of tech support, AGAIN
@@jflores85 I'm in the same boat I have a degree in business administration with concentration in marketing but I'm looking for work in city, public services, or government work but not getting any luck. Most of the positions I'm apply for don't require any degree pre req either, so its probably just extremely competitive. I'm really not trying to find work in Marketing but I think I'm at the point where I just need to bring in some regular income and continue to pursue the job search on the side for the service work I really want to do. It's been a tedious and nasty process. I am absolutely spent and gassed applying to different city and county organizations. This job market is absolute dog sh!t.
Curious if anyone was actually able to finish it in less than 3 months? For me, each module’s availability is staggered. For example, I finished module 4 on Aug 2nd, but I have to wait until Aug 12 to start module 5.

I really doubt that you will get a job with this certification alone.
