I strongly believe that AMDs naming system is the reason why they're selling less than nvidia, nvidia marketing is better. 20 series, 30 series, 40 series, rtx and gtx
back then in the early 2000 the radeon was owned by ATI which explain why some GPU referred by "ATI Radeon" later acquired by AMD in 2006, brand acquisition plays role in this case
I used to have 2 x 4870x2! The very first quad crossfireX! And yes, it didn't perform well and it was like 800 Watts just in GPUs! A very powerful heater! But It destroyed 3DMark back in 2008 :)
@@Villosa64 By the time we die NVIDIA GPUS would need enough power to nuke both the Earth and Mars in the middle of being colonized by Elon Musk. I don't even wanna know what the price for it would be. Probably more than any of us could make in a lifetime.
Had a xfx 7970 for many years and never had any complaints! Then upgraded to a 1080ti back in 2017 and been using it ever since. The xfx is still being used today in my moms office computer I put together for her. They sure don’t build them like they used to!
Still have an R9 Fury X tucked away in a cabinet. It was able to run Cyberpunk at modest settings at like 40fps, did all I asked of it. Very potent card
Now that even Smartphone GPU have raytracing and display 4k, why regular GPUs getting bigger and bigger and consume 400w instead of 5w. are desktop GPUs really 80 times more powerful?
Many cards are missing, especially from the 2000s. No 9700 Pro? That card evolved ATI from shit to good. Unfortunately the sudden success also made AMD aware of ATI. Had a 9800 Pro in 2004, came at the right time for Far Cry. ^^
Ngl those images slapped on 2000s radeon gpu is kinda lit
yeah, especially 2008, absolutely fucking fire
The Radeon 9800XT Rage was released back in 2003, but the Radeon 7900XT was released in 2022 🤯
because he encountered peace
because he encountered divide by 1.2405...
So weird we got a gpu with 1900 more power 19 years before
Bruh 2 gens more an we will have a 2nd 9800XT
@@cobbly? This is just a name
The brief period where there was illustrations of characters on graphics card boxes was the best, 2005 to 2010 i believe
Love how they were jumping back and forth in design
Love these! Nostalgia city
I miss the gpus with anime characters or dragons on them :) best times

Radeon Back in late 1990s early 2000s really love the word "Rage"😂👌
VGA: I AM ETERNAL, I AM TIME ITS SELF!

From a toaster to a monster!
nvidia from needing power enough to power a toaster to enough power to wipe out half of japan

They had such cool cards oml
2003-2009 best looking cards ever
Funny how they eventually get so hot they needed a fan
Also I really love watching time lapses these are great keep it up!

You forgot the Radeon VII
i love old gpu's and the cool images they had on them
2012 looks like the rx 7900 xtx 😂
You can actually see the change which is pretty wild
Fury nano/x are still insane and highly underrated

Proud owner of 6700 XT, 6800 XT, 6900XT, and 7900 XTX :)
First GPU I ever had was an ATI Rage Fury MAXX
テクノロジーの進化とデザインの流行り廃りが分かる良い動画
Now we need a Nvidia one
Already made one! ruclips.net/user/shortsBmlBAuGYqLU

Song? Can't find it on RUclips here
Lose my head - Rambutan
Next gen: 8900xnxx
The HD 7990 was my life dream, I mean TWO GPU’s in one is absolute ridiculous until this day
The Y2K graphics were very unique wouldn’t mind seeing 1 made in modern day reference model. Just as a throwback
Ah yes. *RAGE*
My friend: Yo you got the new radeon 9800xt?
Me: yeah
Also me:
Track: Lose My Head from Rambutan
When you realized that most of these graphics cards were top of the line back then…😮
Miss the time when used to make cool design, now they're all the same.
What's this song? It's stuck inside my head.
Rambutan - Lose My Head
I'm upgrading from a Radeon rx 480 to a Nvidia rtx 4090 :D
The fact that I still have x1950 in my garage
GCN the longest architecture ever lived lol
There's so much power, it needs a fan!
Cool video!
PS For those who ask the song
Rambutan - Lose My Head
This video godlike
I remember buying a 9800xt at frys with my saved up allowance money... so I could play quake 😁
Nice men, i will be your follower from now.
My first video card is there. The ATi EGA Wonder!
Crazy to think CPUs before 1999 were so weak that they didn't even need a cooler
Should I upgrade my 6800xt to the 9800xt?
These people being all hyped about the 7900 XT while some people have already experienced the power of the 9800XT
whats the song?
I'm gonna take a bite out of all of them
Music?

I dont know if this is true but the AMD RX 7900 XTX Really looks a gpu that is a tribute to the Radeon HD 7970 X2 GCN If you look at just its shroud
Graphics Ultra Pro Max in 1993
Next gpu Radeon 8950xt then 9950xt then 10950xt maybe they'll change it if they're trying to achieve another aspect in video fidelity
I can't fucking tell what part of the name means it's getting better. Where the fuck is the consistency AM CONFUSED
Dang 1987 is kinda crazy
nombre de la cancion buen video
HD 8990 and HD 7990 Is my favorites
AMD has the cool looking cards.
AMD always has better designed OEM cards.
