    You don't even need to perform the boolean substract. As soon as you place the shape that you placed around the logo on the same layer, fill mode will 'engrave' that outer shape and leave the internal logo as a raised section.
    The curved shape on that large stamp is necessary, indeed in order to get even pressure. Flat stamps, like used in block printing, almost always require a real press in order to get a clean print.
    That border around the logo is also something that is almost required. It prevents the background from bleeding out even more.
    Using block printing ink is a great idea. Rolling out the ink on a (glass) plate will result in a very even layer of ink on the stamp, leaving the background almost free of any ink. That might however also result in a much cleaner print, which gives a complete different effect from what you have now.

      These are great tips, thank you so much! Yeah it looks like nested shaped on the same layer automatically inverse the fill. That’s logical. Very cool.
