Shatner looks great and is sharp as ever at 90 years old. A true Hollywood legend!
he is uncommon people for sure..... o ya...
"Better Late than Never" is well worth checking out, even if you're not a Shatner fan.
Lol his opening joke
Exactly! Legend.
Biden should consult the Captain. There's no hesitation in his witty comments
Shatner is a living legend.
Only one Captain Kirk. Complex and funny, a must see. And AC is a terrific interviewer; great questions and allows Shatner to answer them in-depth.👏🖖
Shatner the legend is now arguably greater than the legend of Kirk, and just the feat of pulling that off is legendary itself.
Who could ever forget Boston Legal? Talk about an iconic fantastic show!!!
A great man from a time when men were men, Shatner, Eastwood, McQueen, Bronson, Heston etc, great men to look up to, todays leading men can’t hold a candle to them
Rock Hudson, Paul Lynde, ...
Bad times make strong men, leads to good times which makes weak men.
@@jasonmajere2165 More like Strong families and strong traditions make strong men.
@@bubbabozo7789 Two of your hero's.
Indeed! And Sean Connery is my favorite James Bond,
(Connery’s 1st Bond movie released in 1962 & his last was released 1971. “Dr. No” & “Diamonds Are Forever”)
My favorite of Connery’s Bond films is “You Only Live Twice” (1967). It’s the one with Blofeld’s hidden volcano lair, that the 2nd Austin Powers film spoofed
A complete legend. Can’t believe he’s 90!
Yepp , his career has been absolutely amazing . Look at all the memorable things he has done---I'm glad people are appreciating him
Grew up as a kid in the 1930's, wtf!!
90th like.
90... get away
William Shatner... making 90 look cool.
This guy looks fantastic for 90
What an absolutely fabulous and fantastic conversation. I've always enjoyed listening to Shatner speak, and Adam is up there as well. It's fantastic and optimistic to see Shatner so damn sharp at 90.
Nailed it. Shatner is one special dude. Carolla’s known for comedy, but is an outstanding interviewer; better than 99.9% out there. He covered the space “experience” questions brilliantly; and Bill, of course, never disappoints in his visceral unexpected responses and specificity.👏🖖...PS: “Hydrogen”😄
@@ramongonzalez2112 yeah I totally agree, Adam is a fantastic interviewer. He is very underrated as an interviewer just like Howard Stern is. I always wished that Adam got way more recognition than he does, he should be as popular as Kimmel. The Man Show and Loveline were fantastic
Bill is a national treasure --Love him !
He's Canadian but you're still right
@@killthahippie Ha...Yeah , you're right I knew that too , got a little carried away there --he's a great Canadian , also loved by millions here in the U.S. !
@@killthahippie, Shatner has lived most of his life in So. Cal. (since the '50s) and actually has said he would become a US Citizen but is afraid he wouldn't be able to pass the test. I think we can consider him an honorary American citizen just like Australia considers Mel Gibson (born in the US and lived here until he was 12) an Australian.
Shatner said, "I have not passed the (citizenship) test. I'm afraid to pass the test. All that stuff you have to remember - I can't remember it. I'm good for about five minutes as far as (memory) retention. I spout out the line and - boom - I've already forgot it. After learning it (the information) you have to go downtown, and then they make you wait and by that time an hour or two has gone and I've forgotten everything."
@@killthahippie you are saying that Canada isnt a nation? :D
@@a_c35 well it's not A REAL nation 😏
The real captain of the USS Enterprise!
And the only one that has gone to space!
LOL excellent point! Sulu is jealous.
Scottie went to space too, but only after he passed away.
well said
@@kerrychaney1762
Touché
Gene Roddenberry was ejected into space post humously iirc
Live long, Prosper, & Get it on man!
The original line was changed at the demand of the censors. It was: "Grab a piece and multiply."
🤣🤣🤣
90 years old, the man goes to space, still working, 3rd season of his show....they must expect him to live forever. Captain Kirk... the most iconic well known actor for the last 55 years.. truely amazing. .same as betty white... never retire...never stop working, this is the key to longevity. ..never stop.
Shatner lived out of his van doing dinner theater before Trek. He would light his bbq every night and cook for other cast members in return for a piece of whatever food they brought him to grill.
I think the reason he has continued working so much is not just a need for money, he got a breakthrough and realised how fortunate he was to get it. So many never do and it's soul destroying.
That's cool historical info.
I remember seeing an old trailer for a production of Brothers Karamazov that Bill played in, as Alyosha, when he was younger. Never have been able to track down the actual film though. What gives?
@@Sinuev1 I think they show that film on TCM from time to time.
@@Sinuev1 ruclips.net/video/QNgXhNMaKOc/видео.html
If I'm still this lucid and physically able at his age I would be ecstatic.
Bill Shatner inspires all of us👏
Not drinking, smoking, eating crap will increase your odds massively. Easier said than done but most of the healthy 90+ year olds I know never drank.
If I make it to 90 I'll be ecstatic! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bill’s comedic timing is amazing. “You don’t want to hear a muffled anomaly,”cracked me up. Great interview Adam.
Priceless! And Bill couldn’t connect his crotch buckle.😆...I don’t think I heard the word “hydrogen” used so much in an interview.😁and “O ring” came up. 😱😃Adam also impressed me with his outstanding questions 👏
Adam will probably will never see this but long time fan since love line in 95. I never comment. I Never was a star trek fan but have always had huge respect for Bill for the things he has accomplished over years and this was amazing to watch. This was awesome!! Thanks Adam!!
I can't believe Shatner is 90 years old.
How old can't you believe you are? 😆😅😆
@@jonathanhains814 Hahaha... great sense of humor. Loved your comment!
@@GermanLibertarian not the usual response. I certainly can't believe how old I am. Shatner my Dad, and Warren Buffet all born within a month or two of each other. I got the normal one.
@@jonathanhains814 That's better than believing Buffet was your dad only to find out it's really Shatner.
I grew up loving Patrick Stewart. It's funny how far the tables have turned. Shatner is the true legend.
Shatner over Stewart but Picard over Kirk
@@georgethompson4080 that's really well put
You want to talk about squeezing every drop out of life! He is incredible. I know Star Trek is his claim to fame but surprised Boston Legal isn't talked about more. He was fantastic in that role!
Love, love, loved it!!!! Denny Crane!!!
Great interview - one of my favorite shows that Shatner ever did was his short-lived interview show - he is a fantastic interviewer.
I remember watching the old episodes of Twilight Zone all the time with my father. Nick of Time and Nightmare at 20,000 feet were two of my favorites. He is without a doubt an absolute icon.
Would have been funny if he said he looked out the window and saw a monster grabbing onto part of the rocket
William Shatner is what we can call a role model for the rest of us kids
There is nothing more Americana than the legendary William Shatner. So glad he is still with us!
Only God knows who, and how he uses us as his sons and daughters to make his world work. This is a great podcast. ❤️
Wow, good on Mr. Shatner - he looks like he's in his early 70's at most, and intellectually, he could hang with anyone. His success at aging my indeed be mostly genetic as he suggests, but he should nevertheless studied for possible longevity clues.
:-) The Shat is my personal hero. When 90 years I reach, look as good I hope I will.
Bill Shatner has been my hero since Star Trek TOS first aired on TV. Star Trek and the space program so strongly influenced me I eventually became a satellite digital communication engineer manning the console during launch and in-orbit test. Shatner is an inspiration to me since I always wanted to be an astronaut. I'm only 66 so I figure I got about 20 years to get myself into space and become an astronaut like Bill Shatner.
Seen Shatner and Nimoy at the Vegas Hilton 2009 .... I happened to be staying at the hotel and had no idea it was Star Trek Convention week ... Shatner did 90 minutes of Hillarious Comedy ... one of the best times I could had indoors on a Sunday afternoon ... Shatner can go up against any Stand Up Comedian past or present when he's live on stage ...
Dang you have to admire him…90 and sharp as a tack.
I wish he was President.
Always love listening to Bill Shatner. I grew up watching him on Star Trek. I met him once at a convention and saw him in a Comic-Con. He is forever young. Loved him going to space.
"You don't want anomalies in your rockets, and you don't want anomalies in your meatloaf. That's what my grandfather used to say."
Bill! Love ya. You are one amazing man!
This was great! Love me some Shatner❤
Oh this was delightful. What a beautiful man.
I miss class acts in the bis like Jimmy Stewart. Adam and Shatner make me smile. We will never meet, but I would go for a beer with you guys any day.
I can't imagine how pissed the viewers would be if Gina and Bald were their constantly talking over Shatner.
One of the best interviews I’ve ever heard.
I squeed pretty loudly when I saw this in my feed.
LOVE Shatner interviews!!
Great questions Adam!...Shatner you are something else!...Amazing attitude!...I think this dude will make it well past his 100s...All Love!
What a profound and thoughtful human!
An American treasure.
Love Shatner!
Hydrogen!! LMAO, what a great interview! So many good sound bites.
I know people who are 10 years younger than Bill, and they can barely put a sentence together without drooling all over themselves. This man is an absolute stud.
Yes, resident Biden comes to mind.
@@scorpiorising3741 hahaha. Let's go Brandon!
Bill Shatner Oh My! Very cool to see him. He has a good sense of humor too. Sulu is so jealous.
@@WKRP187 yes I heard all of that. That's written in history which the left are trying to erase. It's sad. History doesn't erase sulu's jealousy though. Lots of relatives were in concentration camps they are over it and don't use victimization to push CRT. Lots of relatives worked as manual labor too.
Today I get Carolla and Shatner plus Artie Lange and Gilbert? Man I’m spoiled today.
Adam trying to call William Shatner old without calling him old. I laughed my a$$ off. Love to William Shatner.
Trek helped me through a hellish childhood. Great to see him. May God bless Mr. Shatner and all.
I LOVED what Bill said about legacy:-) so sharing and heartfelt!!!
Leave it to Ace to get the most legendary guests and keep the conversation interesting. Ever since Ace was given a microphone he has “Boldly Gone Where No Man Has Gone Before!".
Carolla is a brilliant interviewer. He played the legendary Shatner like an expert violinist would a Stradivarius. The space flight questions were especially riveting. Two giants in their field.👏🖖
Love how Adam just rolls with Bill's corny jokes, makes for a great interview. Then at the end letting the man speak his truth, interview gold.
Love this guy, always have and always will. Great show!!
The Shat is one of my favorite Canadian anomalies
Canadian anomalies lol
Having a very elderly father myself this session was amazing to me. Shatner is still sharp and converses so fluidly. My pop just doesnt have this much of himself left most times. Great Stuff.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you for having Mr Shatner on!
90 FFS! Let's go Brandon!!
This is the funniest thing I have heard since some of Mitch Hedburgs, best! This was absolutely great
The key to long life is to never really retire -- always keep some kind of career going.
Adam this episode on the day wire will go down as one of the greatest episodes of all time.
Adam looked so young during this interview. Like his mind went back decades to a wide eyed kid.
It was the comparison to Shatner.
@@jonathanhains814He doesn't look that much older then Adam.
Love the Shat!
So glad I was able to see him with my best buddy years ago.
Great to see Bill Shatter looking so great. He provides inspiration for the rest of us.
Finally watched this and laughed so hard I cried:) Sending Shatner on a rocket was genius. Having Adam interview him was genius squared!
This was really a good one! Shatner is seriously quick-witted, and funny. He seems like a natural improver or stand up comedian. He does come off as, young-at-heart. All of the hydrogen-related call-backs had me laughing-out-loud, way more than usual. Much props, and cheers, and acknowledgment, of Adam's patience for holding-back from calling out Shatner for not silencing his phones' notification-alert-sounds!
"Beam me up, Scottie!" and "Couldn't find the hole" two lines for which Mr. Shatner will forever be remembered. A true entertainer.
He is a definite legend!! And still so funny and lucid. No one would think he is 90. I love him!
This is an epic interview from me wonderful. I learned so much about him and his wisdom.
This is Outstanding! Love him on Twitter. So sharp and interesting.
Great discussion.
#DennyCrane !!
Great interview. I was hoping Mr. Shatner would’ve gotten deeper into how self aware he is regarding his mannerisms and the way people make fun. Instead it was the healthier, but expected “ignore the haters” answer. Glad he finally made it to space.
William Shatner is a great talent and is successful because he constantly reinvents himself.
If you don't use it, you lose it....
It wouldn't matter about the light spot if he hadn't mentioned it but now I can't stop watching it.
Amazing ,in 1977 George Burns starred in OH God he was 81 years old and a very old man ,William Shatner is far from being a old man...at 90 !He was on a modern version of The Hindenburg and lived to tell the story....
Great analogy. There are older 65 year olds.
Amazing guest. Great content!
Excellent conversation!
William Shatner for president.
I am _totally_ going to get "I would like an anomaly, please" printed on a T-shirt! Shatner truly is a true legend 😊
William Shatner is the fittest 90 year old i've ever seen!
most 90 year olds ride a scooter and can't form a sentence! this dude is going into SPACE!! & swimming with sharks!
William Shatner is a National Treasure!!
How does this guy stay so sharp at his age?
I can’t get enough Bill Shatner, what a dude and a great role model
Adam, if I could get the Lamar and Meghan Show out of my head, the last few shows have been AWESOME!
Great interview, albeit too short! The man is a national treasure - remember that, Canada.
Ninety. As his (and my) family would say, ken-ahura (Yiddish for 'holy s***!')(well, close enough...)
Thanks Adam, and thanks Bill.
KIRK...an actual living legend! All respect Mr. Shatner
When it got to anomalies, I bust a gut.😂
When I watched Kirk go into outer space I thought it was the coolest thing ever! I was shocked at the hate that came in after the flight….
No one deserved it more then the actor who has done the most entertaining regarding space and space travel. Good for him.
I'm still listening on the app. Great interview.
It is definitely a halo!! lol. great interview. TY.
Loved this! Shatner is amazing.
Enjoyed that. How nice to be privy to that conversation
I find William Shatner fascinating!
Shatner is awesome. Loved the show!!
Best interview ever!!
I would love to see a boxing match between William Shatner and George Takei. If only, right? Would be awesome to see Shatner drop that clown.
I would pay big money to see that fight!!
@@bigbaddms LOL. Oh, yeah. Same here.
Thank God I smoked before watching this.
It made it so much better.
Shatner is an absolute legend. Awesome dude.
Bill Shatner seems like such a cool dude. Love old school Star Trek.
Bill is an example to all of us regardless of age. Always curious and entertaining
he found the Fountain of Youth!! if I didn't know who he was, i would think he was about 70?! when damn near EVERYBODY gets that old, they usually talk slow, cant think fast. how does he do it?! easily the best 90 year old i've ever seen!
Happy for him. Don’t have the fear of doom he has but that is what he believes. Maybe it’s because of faith and I don’t see this world as if it’s everything. For a lot of people the lights go out and it’s over. So they really focus on what I call the ant farm. This world. I don’t see this world as the end but more like an in between. I don’t want ducks eating plastic. I am a huge animal lover. Humans can do better. We can do other things. I hope his answer isn’t kill coal or oil because a lot of people will die without it. I hope it’s more dealing with reality and what we can do without great cost to us.
Love Shatner, always have.
THE Captain. Legend. Icon.
Seriously, he's all there! I love this guy! He's not a toothpick either.
I wanna know what his routine is!
Being short helps. Also short Jewish men seem to be good for 95 years.
