That storm front is a boy in the comics. And is Homelander’s dad Whom he accidentally had Gay sex.
One of the few cases where the creators changing everything and doing whatever they wanted worked on it’s favour
Ya this is kind of surprising to me. The changes they made to adapt the visceral of the comics into a tv series and draw out the general plots is quite amazing. To do the comic beat per beat would be far too chaotic and I think the Deadpool series is a good comparison. Deadpool as a comic is crazy and beyond the big screen but the movies are basically a super slimmed down version of what Deadpool does in the comics.
The subtext and plots of The Boys comic playing out SO EXTREME as it's series shock value would feel contrived and basic bitch style in a tv series, ie every turn has a new shocking twist like bizzaro world. I think this watchmojo breakdown really stepped it up from their typical seemingly topical pop culture filler content. This was solid and pertinent and it highlights what makes the tv series worth it's salt. No replies on this comment but it's on point, up up up.
The producers and writers of the boys deserve their props.... 99 times out of 100 this level of deviation equals death but the series kind of set the precedent for fall-out and one piece and other comic adaptations. Smart people behind this show and smart of WM to notice it.
I disagree... They turned The Deep into an actual JOKE, Mother's Milk should have powers but he doesn't, they turned Frenchie into a pander for gays, they turned Kimiko into a pander to people who use sign language, they turned Queen Maeve into a pander to feminist lesbians, A-Train should have a WAY BIGGER ROLE than he has, Starlight was actually graped by THE ENTIRE SEVEN TEAM not just Deep and Black Noir isn't even the same person...... He's supposed to be a clone of Homelander.
The writers of the show are perverted and push sick agendas in every single episode.
Not to mention Sister Sage didn't even exist.
@@FatalShotGG so showing two people of the same sex in a loving relationship is more perverted than showing a woman getting graped by a group of man? that's interesting, also, wasn't kimiko also mute in the comics?
@@FatalShotGG The Female is a mute in the comics too. And how is anything from the show's writers more perverted than from Garth Ennis the comics? Homelander bangs Soldier Boy under the premise that gay sex with Homelander will get him into the Seven, Black Noir fingers Hughie, a bunch of supes smoke weed with aborted fetus flakes while Jack from Jupiter injects heroin (if I remember correctly) spiked with Maeve's vaginal fluids, which they got from some dude they paid to gather it while she was having one of her many gangbangs, and several supes are shown engaged in other shit like getting banged by dogs. And all that is -just- during Herogasm. Hughie has a pet hamster that was a hamster that Blarney Cock had up his ass when he killed him. Also The Deep is still a joke in the comics, just a different kind of joke. He's just some dork that wears a diving helmet all the time and acts all serious but no one takes him seriously, which ironically, is why he's one of the few to survive because he just keeps going under everyone's radar.
i like the contrast between solider boy saying hed give the spotlight up for homelander, but homelander has shown he cannot let ryan take the spotlight
Homelander had a lot of guts to hijack a plane on 9/11 in the comics. Showing that in the TV show would’ve been too much.
Or because in the tv show, it takes place on current time rather than 2001
And it probably would’ve affected someone of the family members
It'd be funny if the new Black Noir ended up being the same Black Noir as the comics
I was thinking the same thing but based on how he sounded in the first episode I doubt it unfortunately.
Nobody wants that angle
Nope
you can tell in see that it's a different guy dressed up as black Nour so it might be the other homlander
As Homelander would've selected the new Black Noir that's highly unlikely.
For me Soldier Boy being Homelander’s father was a big surprise change and one that made a lot of sense writing wise
Number 1: the show is actually worth your time
comics are better
Agree with this. Garth Ennis has some really cool ideas, but i've always had a problem with his execution.

My question is this: if Translucent had impenetrable, diamond hard skin, why didn't that skin turn into shrapnel when Hughie blew him up and cut Hughie to ribbons?
My head-canon is that ability is tied to consciousness -- it's a nervous response. While he's alive, the skin hardens through a constantly-maintained reflexive response via the nervous system. Severing that connection to the nervous system through an internally-detonated explosion results in that ability being instantly turned off.
The new black noir is just a super powered acting student
Homelander, Billy and Soldier Boy carried/carries the entire show.
Ehh I think everybody does 😭
Couldn’t homelander just see through the mask and see Black Noir is a clone of him?
assuming he probably has a weakness to some kind of vought produced alloy that ofc he wouldn’t know about since their whole think is making him obedient and controllable
but that’s a reach on my part 😂
In the comics he only can see the bones with x-ray
@@vibes_liam126"Zinc, Homelander"
One of the biggest differences for me is that the Supes in the show actually do some crime fighting where in the comics they just f**k around and only make token public appearances
Hughie looks like textbook Max Payne.
Comics are super bad
Every crime was done by Noirlander not Homelander
Antony Starr has received widespread critical acclaim for his performance as Homelander.
Likewise, Homelander is considered by many to be one of the best villains in TV history as a result of the strong writing of his character arc, as well as the combination of his depravity, egoism, and ruthlessness with his complexity and depth. *Ironically, his comic counterpart has been retroactively criticized for having none of these traits.*
Pointless hub-
1-Edge for sake of Edge
2- Compound V and Power dynamics
3-The original The Boys comic is that guy who stumbles on the stage on an open-mic night, says they’re a master of satire, then says the n-word”
Which you don’t find out til the end and makes homelander lose his mind. It’s not bad it’s a Great comic
@@damianjohnson6935 thats Inhumans level writing
sounds like you don't understand comics
@@blueprint7 then Pointless hub and villains wiki also doesn't
Something about the Compound V being lethal to Butcher and the others makes me realize Vaught made the widespread stuff that way on purpose. Simply put, their chosen heroes get the good stuff... the planned villains and useless extras die. Typical of the Vaught MO in the series, really.
I think Compound V works better on babies than adults, because the former is still developing so their bodies will adapt to it, but the latter is too developed so their bodies reject it.
I watched this show because of Simon Pegg.
I still love when i see him in the show.
TNA Impact History Of a Wrestling Company That survived several downfalls but still managed to stick around for over 20 years
They survived hogan and bischoff. Nothing is killing them 😂😂
I like wrestling, but how is this related to The Boys?
13:05, in recent episodes A-train and Hughie seem to have put their differences aside
i was so confused when i watched the animated show and hughie looked and sounded like he does
Haven't watched the video but got a question...
Is the timeline screwed up?
Billy was told he had a year to live and then magically Ryan goes from being 8 to 12 or was it 14?
Billy is still alive and says he has 6 months left.......
Shouldn't he be dead?
I didnt read the comics but imo everything is working out to well for the supes. So some of the Boys getting powers or team up with supes that aint corrupt is overdue
I've heard so many ppl mention how much had changed from the comics to the show and how better the show is for those changes. I'm more surprised they kept anything from the original, aside from the world and the names.
25 mil subs and 45k views in 3 days is actually baffling 🤣🤣
The biggest difference to me would be black noir being a homelander clone that would be crazy
Only butcher can plant a bomb on nina's special toy 💀
I LOVE MAEVE. come back to us!!!
bro where tf was butchers dog????
Wrong......she DID hesitate........she didn't immediately go save the day......she thought about it...she looked at butcher and Ryan....she stared at Starlight for like 30 mins lol...she said..."sh**"...(because she knew she had to do something or their all dead)..divert homelander with a 2 hand punch to the chest......THEN.....she tackled Soldier Boy out the window............THAT .......was hesitation........she obviously had to think about it.....
alot of unnecesary dots there dude
Calm down with the dots😂
Billy Butcher is The Best Character on The Boys.
That’s interesting 😊
Writers did a good job on making great show of a comics that would have otherwise been ridiculous
idk what Annie did to her face but she looks terrible this season.
didn't realize there was this many changes. Yeesh...
🥉
I thought the same thing, like wtf did she do to herself
@@TJ-pd2ej really bad botox...its like she needed an intervention before making that choice
She lost a lot of weight
Tbh S4 is fire but Frenchie 😢
& Mothers Milk
Frenchie is bi in the comic
@@franciscopadilla510doesnt matter if he's bi,They've been pushing him to be with kimiko for 3 seasons and then a crackhead shows up and they start fucking immediately basically throwing his relationship with kimiko down the bin
🥈
If you watch the show and Frenchie kissing a dude is your biggest problem with it, consider reevaluating your priorities 😂😂😂
Herogasm. If you read the comic, you'd know.
Is frechi gay in the comics too
He's bi
He's Bi
I was thinking of buying the comics. This Video protected me from that fate. They sound really bad 😅
they're great
@@thekrakensdaughter dont lie to people to justify your purchase of the comics ;-;
@@emilebilodeau1954he's not lying they're amazing stop having an opinion about stuff you haven't read😂😂😂
@@emilebilodeau1954it's not lying if it's the truth lil bro there amazing
Get them their amazing this Emile pleb hasn't even read it you should definitely buy them
They should have kept the original Vic the veep and make him look and act like Joe Biden 😂
I hate the change to Black Noir...What he does in the comics was so messed up even before he kills Homelander he was out there messing with his reputation and it was driving Homelander even more crazy.
I honestly think the change was better, Homelander progressively going even deeper into madness on his own is far more interesting than being gaslighted into thinking he actually did those things. The clone reveal only served for shock value but in reality added nothing considering both Homelander and Noir died that same issue
Ol girl playin Starlight had plastic surgery to look worse and I will never understand why she felt like she needed any cosmetic treatment.
HQ> TV show
spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually like the comic better. 🎉
I actually like the comic better. 🎉
Way better
The show makes more sense than the comics and that’s why a lot say it is better.
Im glad there’s other ppl that liked the comics better. Too many normies liked the show better because the show is normie friendly.
Bots can't read comics
Poor trumpers are very triggered about the new season. Poor little babies.
I also love when hollywood and every megacorporation on the planet share my beliefs
Stillwell wasn't gender swap she has a ring indicating she is married maybe we will get Mr.Stillwell ?
Hello good morning 😮😮😅🎉🎉
Epstein yourself
they made the show political, whereas the comic book had much better storytelling and focused on the important details, the producers of the show were like......lets make it alphabety, femininny, and watered down
Lmoa you are not very smart. The show is 10x better. Delete this this goofy shi
are you doing ok buddy? gay people are real, including them in a show doesn't make it 'political' it just makes it realistic
@@emilebilodeau1954 nope, including them in the show if the story ORIGINALLY had them is realistic. But the comic book did NOT! It was a move to push the alphabets agenda which wasn't needed. It's like turning princess Ariel from the little mermaid black, or if they were to make her lesbian. In the original she was NEITHER. So it doesn't make sense to make those changes. Just make a new idea
This show is great example of how you can change a characters gender without it feeling like they were trying to be too woke
yeah. It felt like a deliberate choice to make the story and characters better overall.
Neumann's Victoria was an excellent character !
One of the few cases where a TV show adaptation of a comic is vastly superior to the source material in every way.
the biggest difference is the comic was written by an arrogant man child with a hate boner for superheroes and the comic was him metaphorically breaking other peoples toys. the show is a bit more well written and nuanced at times, even if it does fall into the same occasional trap.
Have you not read any of Garth’s work?
@@Rob_Shoot I have, the guy can come up with some interesting concepts, but he executes them in the most Edgelord way possible.
I respect the level of. Hatred tho
@@Mr-Rinn ehat are you talking about? not everything has to be a sanitized safe space
@@blueprint7 Of course not, and the Boys TV show isn’t that. I mean there’s a lot more in his comics that feels like cheap shock value or trying too hard.
It’s not very common, but sometimes the television/film version is way, way better than its source material. The Boys is one example of this.
The differences between the show and comics is night and day
As someone who never read or looked into the comics... 7:30 "AND"?!?!?!
watch mojo in my recommended? you guys making a comeback?
Gotta add to this you guys are not sure what has changed you guys are making me click more so good job!
The comics were just a f**k you to the superhero genre, the show on the other hand is a well written and intelligent satirical dissection of the superhero genre.
I can't believe this is only lasting 4 Seasons...
You mean 5? The 5th one is confirmed to be the final one
@@alexc.g8525I heard the creator wanted to quit after the 4th season? If it's 5 at least we one more season.
What if on the next episode they told Ryan he was a grape baby
If this show gets anymore gay it should be named "The fun boys". A cesspool of woke bs.
Is it just me or hughie's dad in the show looks like Hughie in the comics
The crazy thing about the live action version is that it was very much on track to be one of those extremely rare things that was better than the source/book/comic, i mean I literally loved every single change and thing about season one and that rug pull and absolutely jaw dropping twist ending noone saw coming, I was just as shocked and surprise as Billy when his eyes open to his wife and b****** stepson. But not gonna lie it lost my attention and started to anger me after s but I'm gonna let it finish and then watch it and give it a rightfully deserved second chance but d*** that first season 10 out of 10 without a doubt
One of Few examples where an adaptation improved upon the source material. The Boys comics are conceptually great but terrible in execution.
How different was Herogasm from the comics to the show? 🤔😄😄
It was alright but had it's moments!
Very different!! it was a six issue spin off and in the comic Book black noir molested Huey and trust me that’s just a start.
I have very mixed feelings about this show because I have every issue of the comic Book and there’s so and I mean so many differences sometimes hard to watch.
Lmoa that’s your problem the comics are really bad the show is so much better
@@jakeschmidt6234 wrong. I guess you know read the comic Book.
Homelander doesn't eat a baby in this show and that's why it's total shit
He doesn't eat a baby in the comics either. Black Noir does.
Nobody cares about the differences. The show is crazy and disgusting as it is, that makes it somewhat fun and that's it. No need to know more.
Shut up Dennis 😂
@@jakeschmidt6234 You fuckin' wish.
