I find the best way to plan trips is to find a friend that loves to plan and follow along with them!
So you're coming with us?
I would love too. 😁
Hahahaha
“...except Ohio.” Yes, I agree.
Ditto!!! Ohio has some beautiful scenery...BUT NO TRAILS!!!
I was upset, but then I realized I’m watching this video BECAUSE I’m from Ohio lol
Im from ohio and i feel this
I really appreciate your website with all of the state suggested trails. I'll definitely be making a donation. Keep up the good work. Thanks!
I absolutely love your channel man. Keep making those videos. It's food for the soul for us that are stuck at home and are dreaming of going places!
I plan mine by what I can afford. Took one the other day. Nicest trip to the mailbox I’ve taken in a while.
Got tracks for that?
Not seeing this till 2022, but enjoyed sharing the info. your trips I'm seeing are great. Thanks.
Thank you for adding the Appalachian Byway to your list of pre-made routes! We appreciate the support!
You bet! I've only done a small section of it in New Hampshire and Vermont, but it's a great route!
Great channel! Your editing, music selection, footage, all inspiring. Thanks for the GAIA hook up, you took advantage of the discount a couple days ago. Keep up the great work!
Love the content! I like how you plan out your trips!
Great info and excited to get out hopefully when all the dust settles, thanks for the video.
You and me both!
Thank you for the information 🙏🏻
Great video. Although I am in South Africa, your advice is pretty much universal. Thank you.
Thanks! I'm glad it applies elsewhere!
Good info, appreciate it.
Helpful suggestions
Very helpful tips thanks bro🤙🏼👍🏼
No problem 👍
Thanks 👍
Yes I’m from Ohio we have nothing. That made me laugh so hard. You are 100% right
Like your channel a lot! BE SAFE
Thanks, you too!
getting ready to order some maps from Axles and Antennas based on your trip to my home state of Maine
Great choice!
New sub. Great info
"Unless your watching this in 2021, in which case hopefully things are a little bit better"
2021: *evil chuckle*
I really hope things are better!
ok didn't know about the Google explore! Thanks
It's a very useful tool!
I died laughing when he said except Ohio because I live there and I was thinking the exact same things when he said that almost all states have some scenery to enjoy lol
Lol! There's some stuff to see and do there, but definitely not as much as some other states!
Come to Montana!
In Ohio...need to find some weekend trails outside of Ohio.
Saludos desde Chile friends...
I REALLY appreciate the video. Can you get more in depth with planning with Gaia? I've been trying to use it and simply cant get my head wrapped around a good process on how to use it. I know its a great program but I'm a little thick between the ears.
Yes! I'm planning on it. I'm not sure how to do it though - an in depth video could be hours long!
Is there a site you know with second hand over landing gear , more affordable?
I live here around the LBL in Western Kentucky. It's great for weekend trips, but I have been looking at Daniel Boones NF. Do you have any hot spots or not spots for a overlanding newb?
You can’t go wrong with Kentucky Adventure Tour! It is worth avoiding the northernmost section on Spaas Creek and Pumpkin Hollow when it’s wet or if you’re alone though.
Eastern Ohio to Denver,
North to South too
Flat and boaring,
Sucks to live in Illinois,
10hrs driving and nothing changes
Great video, but I disagree, NOW is the best time. Thanks for the info.
One other question, why do some of the routes on your website click to a motorcycle route? I'm sure Overland routes are used by "motorcycle riders," but can Overlanders drive on a motorcycle route?
For some reason, motorcycle riders create a lot more routes than 4x4 drivers! From my research, all of the routes on my website are also suitable for 4x4. There is on small section of the Great Continental Divide Route that I'm not sure about though. It's a tiny part that follows an abandoned railroad that isn't marked as a road on my maps. I plan on checking it out this summer... hopefully!
Got it! You learn something new every day. Thanks for the quick reply I really appreciate it. Hope to meet you out on the trail one day.
"...unless you're watching this in 2021, in which case hopefully things are a little bit better"
Lol! Not off to a great start...
@@RevereOverland Other than an attempted coup and raging pandemic...things are looking up!
Except Ohio!! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂 I grew up in the Midwest so I know how true this is!
"Except Ohio" lol....
Look a lil harder in Ohio there's some great stuff in the south
Except Ohio LMAO - love it
Except Ohio 🤣🤣
You just ragging on Ohio or are you being serious??
Just ragging. There’s some stuff there, but definitely not much when you compare to some of the surround states!
If you’ve ever been out west you wouldn’t even question this statement.
I spent 7 very wet and miserable years in Ohio but for the last 40 years I have been very happy to call Utah my home.
ZR2 Zamboni, I live in Ohio and there really isn't much. What few piddly little bits of trails that are here aren't marked as such or well-known at all. They are also spread far and wide over the central/east side of Ohio like a messy spider web. Nothing so cohesive as the DBBB in Kentucky or the KAT.
Ohio is worse than Florida ??? Come on , no way , lol.
No way it's worse than Florida, in Ohio at least you're not dying of heat exhaustion while not seeing anything.
😂
I've driven all over Florida. It's geography is quite diverse, it has thousands of miles of waterways and coastline and the Everglades.
Tons of history too. Admittedly it is rather flat. This is from a Minnesota guy BTW.
@@saginawdan That's it right there, FLAT. If you like black bottomless mud, Florida is great. Give me Utah and Colorado for wheeling and camping. California has it all actually 🤔. I think Utah would be a great place to live, the scenery is stunning no matter how many times you look at it
Except Ohio ☠️
