- While Ouray has a plethora of amazing hiking trails, it's not known for its mountain biking trails. A quick look around at the sheer cliffs surrounding Ouray makes you realize that mountain biking the area has to be difficult, and it is! But, indeed, there are a couple fun trails around town! Come explore the Switzerland of America with me!

Backcountry is the best country. This is good old school mtb... not machined trails with jump lines.

40 years riding trails here in Colorado have turned me into a gravel rider. That was definitely not a flow trail. I live in Durango and don’t know anyone that would go to Ouray to mtn bike.
