Hi. It seems to be a beautiful trek to do. I have a question here. Does anyone know what happened to gurudongmer lake trek? People used to trek that lake around 2012 but no trekking packages are available now. I've been there through car and it is once in a lifetime moment. Can anyone update me on what actually happened??

Kashmir is the most beautiful part of our country and that’s the reason we r try to keep it as a part of India even when certain section of Kashmiris do not consider themselves as Indians and has 0 respect for the country they belong!! Within these months, August is a great month for the experience of greenery and flowers! September is good time for very clear weather but less greenery. July is a month to see a little bit of snow. So you can choose depending on what you want to see. :)

This trek is indeed beautiful but definitely not what this man is saying that other treks are in comparison to it. Chaddar, roopkund, man sarovar and many more treks are awesome and some are even better. So glorify yours, but don't belittle others.

@Traveller897 First, when you write something, have guts to keep it . Second, you're absolutely wrong and Kashmir isn't a bigger but a smaller version of Uttarakhand, Himachal and Ladakh ... I've been to all those 4 and Kashmir attracted me least lol... It is beautiful but neither the hospitality is great nor I felt attached like some people try to portray. On the other hand, after visiting all states of India, Uttarakhand stands no 1 for me. The place gives the real definition of "peace and serenity". And Kashmir is well we all know lol... Go and do more Trek, these lakes aren't out of the world slightest.
