Hi Guys, lovely to hear about your halcyon days as 15 year old rampaging around Oxford and London gig. As an innocent 10 year old my introduction to Gary Moore was Out in the fields with Phil on That's what I call music 5 😂 I'll check out the victims album. Ps missed you guys at ACDC. I went to night 1. What a gig it was like a big 🥳
Out in the Fields was my introduction to both Gary and Phil. Being a kid nearing ten it had no appeal to me but my parents liked it, because they knew of Thin Lizzy. Nearly forty years on, I think it's a classic track, a great document about the Troubles. RIP Phil and Gary.
It's interesting to hear that Jammo's reason for not being so keen on this album are the same reasons I love it so much. Some of my favourite albums, and this is one of them, have a mix of different producers, singers, writers and band line ups. And because I listened to a lot of synth Pop when I was growing up I also like Listen to your heartbeat. Anyway, good work again gang!
Run For Cover has some great tracks but with three different lead singers, inevitably it lacked focus to some extent. It’s almost like a compilation album, imho. But Phil Lynott and Glenn Hughes - Gary certainly knew how to pick them(!) What a guitarist. He was very special. Still much missed. Really enjoyed your show and tell - cheers chaps 👍
Saw that Tour in Klagenfurt/Austria, was my intro into FM who blew me away, love them since then, Gary was awesome and loud as hell :-)

Saw this tour at Hammersmith Lynott came out for the encore, not looking to well, but the crowd loved it. Gary was awesome.
For me that´s the best Gary Moore album. Glenn sings really great on it.

Great podcast boys. Hope to hear some more tales about Gary Moore in the future!
Cheers - check out our past eps - the main man features on a few! Thanks for the positive comment - please share and tell your friends!
Saw Gary Moore on the Run for cover tour in Ipswich. Think I have seen FM 3 times as support band. Think they supported Bon Jovi and Magnum as well.
Yes, they did - brilliant band!
