Very clear, thank you for this! It's very helpful! I think they way you put the needle holder over the wound is seriously helpful to remember which way you're throwing the knot. Thanks for this!
Funny thing is I was trying to fix the stitching on my couch and unable to tie the new thread to the remaining short piece of old thread with my clumsy fingers. I happened to have these instruments for electronics work, so I ended up here looking for help. Thanks for showing this technique... my couch stitching is fixed and looks like factory.
I used to work in medical, but I was curious about a surgeons knot for jewlery making purposes. The method I’m looking for is for a much simpler thing. It’s interesting to come across this video though.
Why in all of the times that I have been taught to do instrument ties did no one care to mention the easy way to know which way you should throw loops?? This makes it so much easier to know what to do. You just put the needle driver over the wound and throw the long end over it (once or twice). If you are finishing by tightening the knot the correct way you will always do it right
Thanks a lot needed to know to repair a vertical blind base with many knots needed and where my fingers were too 'gauche' I did have a pair lock up of forceps but could not work out how to end up with a good knot to slip out of them :)

Спасибо. Я конечно всего лиш слесарь. Но надо научиться и уметь. Но желательно чтоб никогда не пригодилось.

every move with 2 throws till end. what is it called?
I believe you are asking about the double throw. We start with a double throw when making a surgeon’s knot.
