£15M for Tripps would be a pretty hard deal to turn down, especially if it looks like his legs are gonna go next year. However, this would reignite the issue of squad depth again…

Trips has been excellent, but Livro is the future & needs to start every game, so take the money & develop a younger team
Think NUFC would be best to just let him go. He's not getting any younger and his performances weren't great last season. He's been tremendous when it came to revitalising NUFC bringing his wealth of experience, but now's the time for him to go. Cheers Trippier for everything!
I think it's time to cash in on Trippier and Wilson, I love them both, but they are nearing the end now and if we keep hold of them we will get nothing when they leave.
Tripps has lost some pace and has made too many mistakes last season, he is actually holding back Tino imo, because that position should be his.
Nooooo trips is the best RB we've ever had, not just a great player but a great leader and personality to have around the club. I would personally like him to finish his career with the toon and start coaching under Eddie.

he was never much reliant on pace anyhow. the real magic last season was the combination of him and Almiron. Almiron was at his best with Trippier and vice versa. he needs to work out a partnership with someone else if e stays. Also Gordon could do with working out a partnership with Whoever will be left back. such a simple but often effective approach
He worries me, though. He has these slips of concentration. He’s fatigued. Chronically. And he wont rest properly to get over it in a meaningful way!

Indeed but did we get to the bottom of the rumoured infidelity. Tripps was well off for most of this season and his head may well be in the right place now but do we really know what's going on ?

If Bayern offered 15m for Trippier i would take that .. Wilson needs to be third choice .. if he stays.. we deffo need a second striker ..

Hiya Roobenstein, I'm on the fence whether to keep Tripps or not, if Newcastle get £15m for him, brilliant, if Tripps goes hopefully when he retires, Tripps will come back to Newcastle as defensive coach, I think after the European Championships Tripps will retire from England, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Keep Trippier and give Tino a lot more game time. Likewise with Target and Hall. Use Burn as cover for Botman and Lascelles as cover for Schar. Sell Miggy and keep Murphy. Keep Wilson but bring in a durable striker.

Trippier has been great but we have the ready replacement in Tino and Trippiers $15M would help amortizing its use over 4 years - would give us $60M to spend, plus he deserves one last big move - great content Roob and I will defo be buying the new away kit - loved the classic Ginola shirt !
if it is the case that 15mil will be worth a lot more to us in future transfers, you'd have to consider it.
As much as I and most of us LOVE trips , if you're judging him on the last 12 month it may be the best move for both parties.

Such a mistake to sell Tripps, give him a full season as our proper skipper. He was our first big name & deserves far more respect than SOME are giving him ! If they can keep Dummett and Ritchie this long then for sure Tripps deserves to stay !❤
Reading a lot of these comments it is crazy how much people are affected by recency bias, bloke was being called the best RB in the world for about 2 years, he drops off for half a season and everyone is calling for blood.
Please let Tripps go ,10 mill is enough for him . his done wonderful things for us but he cost us heaps ,5 games lost directly related to him. Getting a goalie when we have England #1 doesn’t make sense.We need to get physician, trainers , health professionals to keep us fit .But we don’t need him to go ,now or we will hate him later .
I expect we are looking at 2 levels of signings, as the amount we can spend is now tied directly to what we can sell players for, i think the ability to spend a really high amount in the owners first 2 years was was due to fatsos lack of spending, we have now used that leeway up, we will have some to spend no doubt, but need to shift a few for proper money, i think target,dubs,longstaff,miggy and maybe trips are avzilable for the right price
If a deal which includes kimmich. I'm ok with with it. Kimmich is versatile can play RB, RBW or even midfield.
I love tripps but we need to decide, does holding onto him hamper Tino, and could you get good money for an aging player... Wilson is a similar issue.. is he happy being 2nd choice or are you better off selling and getting another young player

I would sell Trippier, he will be 34 in September at the end of the season he is a free transfer and I don't want to give him an extra year when he would be 35.

For me i’d keep Wilson Trippier ( unless they really do want to go) and possibly Almiron (as a backup squad player) - reasons are buy Chiesa as he can play CF if both Isak and Wilson are injured ( plus Gordon can play CF ad hoc), Trafford as No 2 GK, Kelly CB (effectively done deal), plus a.n. other CB - that should be well with FFP limits and consider Eddie knows what he’s doing and is the reason why his loyalty is reciprocated by the team.

according to rumours and GSR we earned about 25mill in CL that's not accounted for, £25mill for adidas, and we need to make 30mill profit because of the two 70ish million losses the previous 2 seasons. So far, on paper, we have 18mill extra to spend (this includes Hall), that's probably enough for mamadashvili (45m+100kpm 5yr is 14m a season) and Kelly without including anything we get for miggy, wilson, trips, longstaff etc. This also excludes anything extra we have raised since the GSR which for the past two years we have seen a 40% increase in revenue, there's nothing to indicate an increase is going to stop just because we didnt get europe.
Yes it’s time for Kieran and Callum to move abroad. Sean to the top half championship team and Almiron to Ipswich. Trafford is not good enough for Newcastle. It remains to be seen whether Howe is still good enough for Newcastle. Big season ahead.

Trippier. Love him and hate him. Given our troubles at the back four, I'd like to see talent come in before we ship talent out. That way we aren't desperate to fill a spot before the window closes.
